Funeral services for Johnny Frank Harris, 38, of Tallassee will be at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003, at Langley Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003, at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Harris died Sept. 16, 2003. He was born Monday, Dec. 28, 1964.
He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Holman of Tuskegee; his father, Frank Allen Harris of Eclectic; one sister, Naomi Harris of Tuskegee; one aunt, Naomi Faulk of Tallassee and a number of other relatives.

Glenn Dwayne Waller

Graveside services for Glenn Dwayne Waller, 45, of Birmingham will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003, at Hillview Memorial Park. The Rev. Horace Doss will officiate.
Mr. Waller died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, at Medical Center East in Birmingham. He was born July 18, 1958, in Birmingham to Thomas Olonza and Evelyn Pauline Trimble Waller. He worked as a property manager and was a Baptist by faith. He also transported children to and from Dance Factory. He loved his wife of 18 years and also loved his dog, Bear. He had a great sense of humor and lived a very good life. His favorite saying was "Don't cry for me, I've had a good life."
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Genia Waller of Birmingham; one sister, Diane Grill and husband Fred of Ashville; parents Thomas O. and Polly Waller of Birmingham and cousin Stanley Trimble and wife Cindy of Alexander City.

Thomas LaFayette Futral

Funeral services for Thomas LaFayette Futral, 81, of Goodwater will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. The Elder Jimmy Bass will officiate. Burial will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003, at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Futral died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, at Russell Medical Center. He was born in Clay County on Nov. 28, 1921, to Thomas Leonard and Dixie Gertrude Carroll Futral. He worked as a molder for Russell Pipe and Foundry for 35 years, was a member of Smyrna Primitive Baptist Church where he served as deacon and clerk and was an Army Air Corp. veteran, having served in WWII.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Opal W. Futral of Goodwater; two daughters, Barbara Crozier and husband Donald of Montgomery, and Elizabeth Ann Nunnally and husband Glyn of Cumming, Ga.; two sons, Tommy Futral and wife Susan and Terry Futral and wife Gaytha, all of Goodwater; one brother, William A. Futral of Goodwater; 26 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Gaynell Jones

Funeral services for Gaynell Jones, 75, of Alexander City will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Clay County. The Revs. Jerry Patterson and Steve Johnsey, and Randy Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at Radney Funeral Home in Alexander City and for one hour prior to services.
Ms. Jones died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at her residence. She was born March 26, 1928, in Clay County to Monroe and Nonnie Alford Jones. She worked as a telephone operator for Southern Bell until 1980 when she retired and moved to Alexander City. She was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where she played the piano. She was well-loved by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
She is survived by three sisters, Adell Brown, Mary Alma Waldrop and Maxine Gamble, all of Alexander City and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ivan Jones and Melvin Jones and one sister, Alvarene Waldrop.

Graveside services for Mary Louise Dean Lawhorn, 89, of Alexander City will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, at Hillview Memorial Park. The Rev. Robert Lancaster will officiate. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003.
Mrs. Lawhorn died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at Lake Martin Community Hospital in Dadeville. She was born July 23, 1914, in Tallapoosa County to William Gladys and Bennie B. Osborn Dean. She worked as a sales clerk at Diana Shop in Alexander City and was a founding member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Donald Lawhorn and wife JoAnne of Watkinsville, Ga., and Wayne Lawhorn and wife Susan of Alexander City; four grandchildren, Donna Lawhorn of Macon, Ga., Wade Lawhorn and wife Jessica of Athens, Ga., Kevin Lawhorn of Commerce, Ga., and Ronald Wayne Pray and wife Liza of Kingsville, Texas and three great-grandchildren, Taylor Lawhorn and Joseph Lawhorn, both of Athens, Ga., and Ethan Pray of Kingsville, Texas.

Graveside services for Wayne Thomas Benson, 64, of Goodwater, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, at Socapatoy Cemetery. Rev. Clifford DeLee will officiate.
Mr. Benson died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003. He was born March 12, 1939.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Benson; two daughters, Lorri Conville and Terri Phillips; one son, Rodney Benson; two sisters, Fay Groom and Joan Hughes and 10 grandchildren. Flowers will be received at the Benson home at Rt. 3, Box 142B, in Goodwater.
