Manuel “Buddy” Bearden, 55, a resident of Tallassee, passed away August 27, 2010. He was born August 24, 1955.
Funeral service will be Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Liberty Baptist Church (Friendship) with Rev. David Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
He is survived by Beverly Bearden; daughters, Windy Russell (Melvin), Cindy Davidson (Joey) and Carrie Verhoff; mother, Louise Riddle; sisters, Pearl Dabbs (B. G.) and Linda Smith (Hershel); brother, Brad Bearden (Carla); grandsons, Cole Mann, Reece Mann, Austin Davidson, Carter Davidson; nieces, Lindsey Dabbs and Jamie Smith; and nephews, Jason Dabbs and Barry Smith. He is preceded in death by his father, Wendell Bearden; wife, Doris Bearden and grandson, Brooks Davidson.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 28 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Liberty Baptist Church.

Elaine Davis Finney, 86, passed away August 30, 2010. She was born October 22, 1923. Graveside funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Rose Hill Cemetery
with Rev. Byron Golden officiating. The family will meet friends at the cemetery. She is survived by son, James Larry Finney; grandson, Todd Finney and granddaughter, Laura Ann Lawford. Mr. James Larry Finney, age 62, a resident of Tallassee, passed away October 12, 2010. He was born October 28, 1947.
He is survived by son, James Todd Finney; daughter, Laura Ann Lawford (Kirby) and several grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, James Costello Finney and mother, Elaine Davis Finney.

Howard “Chris” O’Guynn, 57, passed away September 3, 2010. He was born March 17, 1953.

He is survived by sisters-in-law, Sherrl Wilson (J.W.), Teresa Smith (Ronnie), Teena McGhar and Lillie Reber (David); brother-in-law, Tim Sanders (Crystal); aunt, Maxine Whaley; uncle, Ray O’Guynn; special cousins, Cecil Whaley (Patti) and Mike Whaley (Tina); and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Alice O’Guynn and his father and mother, Lloyd and Lena O’Guynn.

Carl Jr. "Buddy" Self
Carl Jr. "Buddy" Self, 57, a resident of Tallassee, passed away after an extended illness with his family in attendance at his home on Friday, September 17, 2010. He was born October 20, 1952 in Wetumpka, Alabama.
He is survived by daughters, Becky Self (Jason Brown) and Kelly Pillard Self (Bruce Yarbrough); sons, Randy Self and Ricky Self (Jennifer); stepdaughter, Tracy Woodall; brothers, Ronnie Gene Self (Beverly), Johnny Lee Self, Bobby Wayne Self (Mary) and Terry Self; sister, Nancy Ann Sellers (Byron) and eight grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Gail Self; brother, Donnie Joe Self; sisters, Judy Self and Fannie Elizabeth Ledbetter; and a grandson, Devin Reid Giles.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 4 pm at the home of Gene and Beverly Self.
Joseph “Joe” Philip Raiford
Joseph “Joe” Philip Raiford, age 56, beloved and cherished husband of Robin Weldon Raiford, went to be with God on November 5, 2010. His life will be honored and celebrated on November 7, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Tallassee, Alabama.
Joe was born and grew up in Vidalia, Georgia and worked for his family’s business there for many years. He was owner of SignsPlus in Tallassee for the past decade. He was a Rotarian and a member of Frazer UMC.
He is survived by his mother, Augustina Raiford; brothers, Steve Raiford, George Raiford (Sherry) and Frank Raiford (Melanie); nieces, Madeleine Raiford, Mattie Raiford, Meredith Raiford; and nephews, Jacob Raiford and John Raiford.
Joe is survived by his Tallassee family; his mother and father, Wendell and Joy Weldon; brother, Brent Weldon (Beverly); nephew, Caleb Weldon; niece, Courtney Jackson; and special friends, Larry and Wylene Craft.
He is predeceased by his father, Philip Raiford; his grandparents, George and Mattie Raiford and Maria and Ishmael Infanzon.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Saturday, November 6 at Linville Memorial Funeral Home.

FOWLER, Samuel Wade, 54, formerly of Tallassee, passed away November 11, 2010 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He was born June 4, 1956.
He is survived by companion, Peggy Radice; daughters, Dawn (Philip) Adams, Bry-Ane Radice and Shannon Radice; sisters, Kem Bowman and Reba Ahnemiller; and grandchildren, Kayla, Joshua, Gianna, Johnny and Jovani.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

James “Jim” Russell Harsha
James “Jim” Russell Harsha, age 73, went to be with God on November 15, 2010, after a brave fight against heart disease and cancer. His life will be honored and celebrated on November 18, 2010 at 11:00 AM from Santuck Baptist Church in Wetumpka, Alabama, with Reverend Gary Miller and Reverend Larry Gore officiating. The body will lie in state from 10:00-11:00 AM. A family graveside service will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Brundidge, Alabama.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Ramona Ray Harsha; children, Lisa Thrash Fleming (Keith), Scott Thrash, Gina Thrash Westover (Rob), Melody Thrash Nelson (Jim), Jeff Harsha (Andrea) and Joe Harsha; grandchildren, Christian Thrash, Miranda Harsha, Hunter Russell, Cassidy Harsha, Colbi Thrash, Karah Fleming, Hadden Langley, Isabel Fleming, Skyler Graves, Heather Rae Harsha and Sawyer Nelson; one brother, Ralph Harsha and one sister, Pat Harsha.
He is predeceased by his parents, Harley and Ethel Harsha; three brothers and one sister. Active pallbearers will be his sons-in-law, grandsons and closest friend, Willie Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of his Sunday School Class.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00 PM on Wednesday, November 17 at Linville Memorial Funeral Home in Eclectic, Alabama.
Alton Martin Roland
ROLAND, Alton Martin, 75, a resident of Prattville, AL, died on Tuesday, October 17, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial with Reverend Steven Barber officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Roland proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. After his military career, he worked at Union Camp for over 27 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Joyce Fay Roland. Mr. Roland is survived by two daughters, Tonda (Terry) Gray, Marina (Aaron) Pettit; one son, Martin (Rachael) Roland; seven grandchildren, Elissa Gray, Lauren Roland, Katie Pettit, Kyle Pettit, Savannah Roland, Kole Pettit, and Britton Roland; one brother, Barnett Roland; a family friend, Pat Hill; and numerous other extended family members and many friends. Pallbearers will be Aaron Pettit, Terry Gray, Grady Nixon, Ronnie Roland, Spence Williamson, and J.C. Gray. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
