WETUMPKA - Mrs. Gracie Marie Terry, age 87, a resident of Wetumpka, Ala. and formerly of Chicago, Ill., died Monday, February 9, 2004. Graveside services were held Friday, February 13th at 10 a.m. at Lebanon Cemetery. Rev. Gerald Wood officiated. Ellison Funeral Home of Wetumpka directed.
Mrs. Terry is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Chuck Motes of Wetumpka; one son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Judy Terry of Port Charlotte, Fla.; one sister, Freda Phibbs of Crystal River, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Helen Foster Spiers
ELMORE - Mrs. Helen Foster Spiers, age 86, a resident of Elmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, February 15, 2004 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 18th at 2 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Jim Whorton and Bro. Steve Sanders will officiate. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Cemetery. Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka will direct.
Mrs. Spiers is survived by three sons, Tom (Pattie) Spiers, Bill (Brenda) Spiers and Terry (Alice) Spiers; one daughter, Linda (J. R. "Sonny") Hood; one sister, Elizabeth "Wibba" Ledyard; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Doug McGlamry, Wayne Teal, James Dozier, John Carothers, Danny Weldon and George Hall.
Noah L. Roberson
TALLASSEE- Mr. Noah L. Roberson, age 68, a resident of Tallassee, Ala., passed away Saturday, February 14th, 2004 at his residence. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 17th at 11 a.m. at Lebanon Baptist Church. Richard Roberson officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Corbitt's Funeral Home of Tuskegee, Ala. directed.
Mr. Roberson is survived by two sons, Richard (Teresa) Roberson of Wetumpka, and Brad (Martha) Roberson of Tallassee; two daughters, Terry (Jimmy) May and Melva (Rudy) Thomas, all of Dadeville, Ala.; five brothers, Rutherford (Virginia) Roberson of Dadeville, David (Sue) Roberson of Tallassee, Clyde Roberson of Tallassee, Herschel (Evelyn) Roberson of Tallassee, and Paul Roberson of Notasulga, Ala.; one sister, Nadine (Jerry) Leonard of Tallassee; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

WETUMPKA - Mrs. Ruth Moon Cousins, age 89, a resident of Wetumpka, Ala. died Tuesday, February 10, 2004. Graveside services were held Wednesday, February 11th at 11 a.m. at Wetumpka City Cemetery. Dr. James Troglen officiated. Ellison Funeral Home directed.
Harvey T. Blankenship
TITUSVILLE, FLA.- Mr. Harvey T. Blankenship, age 84, passed away Monday, February 9, 2004 at his residence in Titusville, Fla. Mr. Blankenship was born in Eclectic, Ala. He came to Brevard County in 1991 from Atlanta, Ga. He was a retired veteran of the U. S. Army, having served during in World War II and the
Korean War. He also retired from Kennedy Space Center. Mr. Blankenship was a member of American Legion Post #1, and the VFW, both in Titusville.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Nardone of Titusville; two grandsons D'Arcy and Joshua Nardone, both of Titusville; one great-grandson, Joseph Nardone of Titusville; two sisters, Mary Gilliland of Decatur, Ala., and Lucinda Edwards of Montgomery, Ala.; and three half brothers, Hamilton Haynie, Ed Haynie and Joe Haynie.
Mr. Blankenship was preceded in death by his loving wife Margaret.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 15th at 3 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in Pleasant Grove Cemetery
in Eclectic. Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directed the services.

Nora Elizabeth Johns
WETUMPKA - Nora Elizabeth Johns, age 88, a resident of Wetumpka, Ala. passed away Sunday, January 11, 2004 in Country Club Manor. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 14th at 10 a.m. at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Steve MacInnis and Rev. Jim Reeves will officiate. Interment will be at Pine View Memorial Gardens with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing.
Ms. Johns is survived by one daughter, Trish & (husband) Bill Harbin of Montgomery, Ala.; one brother, Harry S. Prim of Dothan, Ala.; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Prim Formby. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning, January 14th from 9 - 10 a.m.
Linda Gail Young Stough
Verbena - Mrs. Linda Gail Young Stough, age 46, died unexpectedly at her home in Verbena, Ala., on Wednesday, December 3, 2003. Funeral services were held on Monday, December 8, at 10:00 a.m. at Pine Level United Methodist Church. Reverend Ray Bass and Reverend Paul Turner officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Prattville Memorial Chapel directed.
Ms. Stough was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Brooks Holley.
She is survived by her father and mom, Donald "Don" and Doris Young; one son, Cody Stough, all of Prattville, Ala.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Teresa and Tom Hammer of Lake Martin, Ala., and Lynn and Charlie Petty of Prattville; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Eddie and RaAnne Young of Prattville, and Jerry Sheffield of Port Richey, Fla.; several aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and close friends.
Active pallbearers were Charlie Petty, Jack Berry, Edward Young, Dusty Sheffield, Jeremy Sheffield and Shawn Sheffield. Mark Cecil served as an honorary pallbearer.
George Houston Smith
ALEXANDER CITY — Graveside services for Mr. George Houston Smith, age 82, of Alexander City, Ala. were held Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery
in Eclectic. The Rev. Jack Womack officiated.
Mr. Smith died on Sunday, August 8th at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika after a long illness. He was born on May 3, 1922 in Elmore County to William Thomas (W.T.) Smith and Rosa Ola Langley Smith. He graduated from Auburn University and was an avid football fan. He was employed by the Federal Government as a Civil Engineer with water ways until his retirement. Mr. Smith was a resident of Bill Nichols Veterans Home for the past six years. He was a U. S. Army Veteran, having served in WWII.
He is survived by his sisters, Ruby Thrower of Sylacauga and Doris R. Black of Daviston; three nieces; and eight nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Howard Smith, Henry Herman Smith, John Amos Smith, Wilson Truman Smith, and William Lester Smith; and three sisters, Mattieliene York, Edna Church, and Mildred Inez Martin.

Donna Michelle Jenkins
Donna Michelle Jenkins, a resident of Titus, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at the age of 48.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 5 at Gassett Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 6 at Titus Baptist Church with Pastor Don Laird and the Rev. Donny Barber officiating. Interment will follow at Titus Baptist Church Cemetery
with Gassett Funeral Home directing.
Donna is survived by her husband of 16 years, Kenneth L. Jenkins; parents, Albert Irvin and Nancy Riddle; daughters, Kaylee Grace Jenkins and Amber Faith Jenkins; brother, Danny (Starla) Riddle; and sister, Beverly Riddle (Richard L.) Reckart.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kaylin Hannah Jenkins.
Pallbearers will be Pete Bridgman, Michael Bridgman, Jerome Jenkins, Terry Jenkins, Trapper Jenkins and Tanner Loman.
Travis Wayne Johnson
NEW HAVEN, Mo. — Travis Wayne Johnson, passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, in New Haven, Mo., at the age of 52.
Mr. Johnson was born Nov. 21, 1959 in Montgomery. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joan and Jimmy Johnson.
He is survived by his sisters, Sheila (Richard) Rikerd, Rita (Steve) Spurlock, nephews, Aaron Spurlock, Joshua Spurlock, and his niece, Alex Rikerd.
Mr. Johnson enjoyed watching wrestling and football.
After is father’s death he moved to Missouri to live with his sister Rita.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 18, 2012, at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Wiggins officiating. Burial will follow at Brookside Memorial Gardens with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time Jan. 18 at Gassett Funeral Home.
