EASTERINE G. WILSON
CHILDERSBURG — Funeral service for Easterine G. Wilson, 77, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at A.D. Prayer House in Childersburg with Bishop David L. Norwood officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery
in Sylacauga.
Mrs. Wilson died Sept. 28 at Coosa Valley BMC.
She is survived by two daughters, Julia Faye Chaney and Felicia Morrisette of Sylacauga; two sons, Bobby G. Wilson of Huntsville and Henry Garrett of North Carolina; one sister, Thelma Hawkins of Waukegan, Ill.; one brother, Joe Lewis Garrett of Detroit, Mich.; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers and flowerbearers.
Community Funeral Home will direct the service.
A.L. BROWN
LINEVILLE — Funeral service for A.L. Brown, 82, will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home chapel in Lineville with the Rev. Steve Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mr. Brown died Oct. 2 at his residence. He was a native of Elmore County and had lived in Clay County since 1949. He was a World War II veteran having served as a military policeman in the United States Army. He was a carpenter and a member of Hackneyville Primitive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Mitchell Brown; two children, Leroy and Elsie Brown; and one grandson, Keith Rogers.
He is survived by one daughter, Catherine Gunter of Eastaboga; two sons, Raymond Brown and Frank Brown of Lineville; one sister, Lena Mae Crawford of Portsmouth, Va.; one brother, William O. (Bill) Brown of Lineville; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Brown, Leon Rogers, Steven Rogers, Jon Dean, Frank Brown Jr. and Roger Turley.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home until service time.
Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville will direct the service.
MAE NETTA CALDWELL
CHILDERSBURG — Funeral service for Mae Netta Caldwell, 96, will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg chapel. Burial will be in Childersburg Cemetery.
Mrs. Caldwell died Oct. 4 at Spring Terrace Assisted Living in Sylacauga. She was the oldest member of First Baptist Church in Childersburg. She worked for Talladega County School System for 33 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Billie Jean Rognelson of Childersburg; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Tate, Chuck Tate, Jake Castleberry, Bobby Payne, Phillip Payne and Tom Strickland.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Curtis and and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel will direct the service.
MINNIE F. EMFINGER
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Minnie F. Emfinger, 82, will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Talladega Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Glis Cribb officiating. Burial will be in Midway Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Emfinger died Oct. 3 at Talladega Health Care Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County, was a member of Talladega Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Talladega Surgery Associates.
She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Butterworth of Gadsden; two sisters, LaLa C. Pirano of Montgomery and Mavis Smith of Opelika; two brothers, Joe H. Thornell of Tennessee and Howard K. Thornell of Columbus, Ga.; two grandchildren, Lisa Bonner of Talladega and Randall Barnett Jr. of Texas and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Barry Gauldin, Charles Bonner, Randy Barnett, Tim Hallmark, Roy Barnes and Jeff Stephens.
Deacons of Talladega Creek Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6 until 9 p.m.

BURL BRAXTON SHADDIX
OXFORD — Graveside service for Burl Braxton Shaddix, 59, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery
in Munford with the Rev. Curtis Colett officiating.
Mr. Shaddix died Oct. 3 at Regional Medical Center in Anniston. He was a native of Talladega County, lived in Oxford for the past 20 years and was employed by Trail Blazer Inc. of Birmingham.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa B. Shaddix of Oxford; two sons, Scott Chitwood of Weaver and Braxton Shaddix of Oxford; one daughter, Stacy Shaddix of Oxford; two brothers, Earl Shaddix of Oxford and Benny Shaddix of Talladega; two sisters, Frances Smith of Munford and Mary Harris of Anniston and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Shaddix, Tracy Shaddix, Trent Arnold, Trey Arnold, Michael McKencie and Blake Green.
Usrey Funeral Home will direct the service.
VESTER LEE WILSON
DETROIT, Mich. — Funeral service for Vester Lee Wilson will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church.
Mr. Wilson died Oct. 1 in Detroit, Mich. He was formerly of Talladega. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mellon Wilson and his parents, Bennie Wilson and Annie Bell Wilson.
He is survived by two daughters, Claudia Mae Ware and Christine Knight of Detroit, Mich.; two sons, Samuel Wilson and Ernest Lee Wilson of Detroit, Mich.; sisters, Ester B. Higgins, Annie B. McGhee, Pauline McGhee and Bessie Lee Garrett of Talladega; and one brother, David Wilson of Talladega.
United Memorial Funeral Home in Detroit, Mich., will direct the service.

ELIGAH BENSON SR.
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Eligah Benson Sr., 95, will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Community Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Anthony Kirkland officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Benson died Oct. 3 at Talladega Healthcare Center. He was a longtime employee of Parker Fertilizer Company in Sylacauga.
He is survived by two sons, Bobby Benson and Eligah Benson Jr. of Sylacauga; one sister, Beatrice Anderson of Gadsden; special friend, Ethel Player of Sylacauga; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends will serve as pallbearers and flowerbearers.
Visitation will be Sunday from noon until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

EUGENE YOUNG
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Eugene Young, 68, will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Community Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. W.C. McGowan officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Young died Oct. 2 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Young of Sylacauga; two sons, Billy Joe Dark and Donald Wayne Dark of Sylacauga; one daughter, Patricia Averette of Sylacauga; one brother, Willie Sanders Young of Milton, Fla.; 18 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Dewayne Young, John Michael Young and Donald Wayne Young.
Flowerbearers will be nieces.
Visitation will be Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

DONALD O. BAIN
PELL CITY — A memorial service for Donald O. Bain, 79, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First United Baptist Church of Pell City.
Mr. Bain died Oct. 5 at St. Clair Regional Hospital.
