Jack T. Lee, 59, of Wilsonville, died Aug. 13, 2000.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Athel Lee.

He is survived by his wife, Shelia D. Callahan Lee; daughter, Shelly Lee of Wilsonville; son, Jackie T. Lee Jr. and wife, Deanna Lee of Chelsea; grandchildren, Breanna Champion, Caleb Lee, J.T. Lee III and soon-to-be Joseph Lee; stepgranddaughter, Stevie Kelley; mother, Inez Lee of Chelsea; two sisters, Diane Link of Talhart, Texas, and Brenda Wilson of Sterrett; and brother, James W. Lee of Columbiana.

Graveside services were held Aug. 15 at Hubbard Cemetery, Rev. Tommy Shelton officiating.
Bolton Brown Service directed.

DORMAN D. LYNN

Former Vandiver Fire Chief

Dorman D. Lynn, 64, of Vandiver, died Aug. 12, 2000.
He was co-founder of the Vandiver Fire Department and served as its chief for more than 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Stella Lynn; daughters, Lisa McCoy, Karen Crockett and Amy Lynn; sons, Tim Lynn and Nick Lynn; sisters, Lexie Parker and Gloria Brasher; a brother, Curtis Lynn; and grandchildren, Cody and Felicia.

Services were held Aug. 12 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Kilgroe Funeral Home directing.

FRANCES L. POWELL

Shelby resident

Frances L. Powell, 61, of Shelby died Aug. 11, 2000.
A native of Sylvania, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Willie Lovett.
A longtime resident of Watkinsville, Ga., she was the widow of Dr. Thomas W. Powell.
She was a former nurse's assistant and a member of Briarwood Baptist Church in Watkinsville.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Kellis of Birmingham and Mandy of Roswell, Ga.; a son, Bill Brant of Birmingham; her mother, Rose Bazemore Lovett of Sylvania, Ga.; two stepchildren, Glenda Knighton of Blakely, Ga., and Thomas W. Powell Jr. of Bainbridge, Ga.; one sister, Athelon Herrington of Sylvania, Ga.; a brother, Billy Lovett of Savannah, Ga.; six grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
Services were held Aug. 13 at Briarwood Baptist Church, Rev. Dan Fuller officiating.
Burial was in Oconee Memorial Park, Arthur Bowick's Oconee Chapel directing.

ELIZABETH ANN SEALE

Thorsby resident

Elizabeth Ann Seale, 61, of Thorsby, died Aug. 5, 2000.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Seale; children, Jimmy Taylor, Ricky Taylor, Mary Ray and Tommy Taylor, all of Thorsby, Terry Taylor of Chelsea, Sue Smith of Wilsonville and Shelia Gleason of Foley; sisters, Evalyn Lucas, Avlee Childress, Sue Dawson, Elizabeth Hunter, Marie Brasher and Shirley Thomas; and brothers, John Woods, Roy Woods, Horace Woods and Jimmy Woods.
Services were held Aug. 8 at Bolton Brown Chapel, Rev. Jerry Elmore presiding.
Burial was at Columbiana City Cemetery, Bolton Brown Service directing.

JOHN J. SMITH

Alabaster resident

John J. Smith, 82, of Alabaster, died Aug. 11, 2000.
He was a member of Siluria Baptist Church and was married to Ola Mae Brown Smith for 59 years.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Betty Snyder and Don of Pelham and Linda Harmon and Richard of Alabaster; a son, Kenneth R. Smith of Graysonvalle; five sisters, Ruth, Ruby and Ethel Smith of Alabaster, Nell Wells of Pelham and Minnie Vernon of Alabaster; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held Aug. 14 at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel, Matt Haines presiding.
Burial was in Elliottsville Cemetery in Alabaster, Rockco Funeral Home directing.

THOMAS ROSS "PEE WEE" STAMPS

Member of Maylene Pentecostal Lighthouse Church

Thomas Ross "Pee Wee" Stamps, 41, of Calera, died Aug. 12, 2000, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.
Affectionately known by everyone as "Pee Wee," Stamps was born March 5, 1959, as the youngest child of the late Tom and Bee Stamps, all lifetime residents of Calera.
He was a member of Maylene Pentecostal Lighthouse Church.
He had a special love for southern gospel and sang at every opportunity.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; two step-children, Donna and Chris Burdette; his brother, Kenny Stamps and sister-in-law, Gail; his sister, Mary Rose Rafferty and brother-in-law, Teddy; five nieces and nephews; and six great nieces and nephews; a dear friend, Doyle Butler; and countless other family and friends.
Services were held Aug. 15 at Charter Funeral Home, Bro. Jimmy D. Abrams, Bro. Darrell Allen and Bro. Waymond Stricklin officiating.
Burial was in Nabors Cemetery, Charter Funeral Home directing.

ISAAC ISAIAH ASH

Texas resident

Isaac Isaiah Ash, 10 months old, of Old River, Texas, died July 26, 2000.

He is survived by his parents, Walter and Lamanda Cobb Ash; a brother, Zacharaia Ash; grandparents, Randy and Melinda Cobb Kent, all of Old River, Texas, Wilbur Ash of Augusta, Ga., Don and Barbara Butler Shipley, Bruce and B.J. Becker, all of Liberty, Texas, and Wilbur and Patsy Dewey of Dayton, Texas; great-grandfather, Tommy Cobb of Dallas, Texas; and great-great-grandmother, Mildred Gould Clark of Birmingham.
Graveside services were held Aug. 1 at Summer Hill Cemetery in Columbiana, Rev. Joe Stone officiating.
Bolton Brown Service of Columbiana directed the services.

THOMAS D. "BUCK" BIVIN Sr.

Member of Mignon Baptist Church

Thomas D. (Buck) Bivin Sr., 87, of Sylacauga, died July 31, 2000, at Coosa Valley B.M.C.

He was retired from Avondale Mills with 43 years of service and was a member of Mignon Baptist Church.

Bivin is survived by his wife, Lillie Bivin of Sylacauga; two sons, Thomas D. Bivin Jr. of Sylacauga, and Richard Bivin of Chalkville; one daughter, Joanna Kulenek of Pelham; two sisters, Martha Stubbs of Birmingham, and Lois Olakosky of Prattville; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Aug. 2 at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, North Chapel, Rev. Wayne Burns officiating.

Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Curtis and Son Funeral Home, North Chapel directing.

J.W. BLACKERBY

World War II veteran

J.W. Blackerby, 76, of Wilsonville, died Aug. 4, 2000. He was a veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan McDaniel.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Blackerby of Wilsonville; a son, Jerry Blackerby of Wilsonville; a daughter, Judy Crow of Centerpoint; four brothers; and one sister; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held Aug. 7 at Old Chapel Methodist Church, Rev. Jerry Baker officiating.

Burial was in Pinelawn Gardens, Bolton-Brown Service directing.
