Travis Bobo, 72, of Horton, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2006.

Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Albertville Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Pankey officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Anthony Ray Bobo, of Albertville; brothers, Cois Bobo and Jimmy Bobo, both of Albertville; sisters, Demile Tidwell and Vivian Martin, both of Albertville, Betty Brooks, of Arab, and Margaret Kirth and Bobbie Chaffin, of Georgia; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Tiffany Richa Kesgin

Tiffany Richa Kesgin, 33, of Albertville, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2006, at her home.

Services are today, Thursday, Oct. 5, at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Kadri Kesgin, of Albertville; parents, Bill and Maggie Marks, of Guntersville; sons, Devon Kesgin and Austin Kesgin, both of Albertville; sisters, Bethanie (David) Prather and Willette (Michael) Lynch, all of Guntersville; sister-in-law, Aydin (Nalan) Yildiz, of Istanbul, Turkey; brother-in-law, Oktay (Canan) Kesgin, of Istanbul, Turkey; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Agnes Christian Riner Nichols

Agnes Christian Riner Nichols, 86, of Guntersville, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Carr Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Watkins officiating. Burial will follow on Friday at Lulu Cemetery, in Senath, Mo.

Survivors include a daughter, Deanna Johnson, of Gadsden; sister, Norma Brannum; and one granddaughter.

Lindsey Glen Oliver

Lindsey Glen “Shorty” Oliver, 67, of Altoona, died Sept. 10, 2006, in a Gadsden hospital.

Services were at 1 p.m. Sept. 13 at Pineview First Congregational Methodist Church in Altoona with the Revs. Butch Suddath, Eric Snead and Billy Tucker officiating. Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery. McRae Funeral Home was in charge.

Survivors include his wife, Becky Franklin Oliver, of Altoona; stepdaughters, Kellie (Jason) Jenkins and Amanda (Robert) Collins, all of Altoona; sisters, Monteen Alverson, of Florida, Gretchen Weather, of Haleyville, and Imogene Hulsey, of Georgia; brother, Jack Oliver, of Gadsden; and six grandchildren.

Jenny Hilley Kahn

Jenny Hilley Kahn died Sept. 21, 2006, in Atlanta.

A private service was held.

Survivors include her husband, Allen Kahn of Atlanta; son, Ashley (Harriet) Sharer of Mobile; mother, Jean Hilley of Boaz; brother, Gerald (Jennie) Hilley of Boaz; sister, Jonita (Tony) Baugh of Section; and several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her father, J.Q. “Red” Hilley and a brother Harold Hilley.

Fred Funderburg

Fred Funderburg, 88, of Laurel, Miss., died Sept. 24, 2006, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, Miss.

Services were at 10 a.m. Sept. 27 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, Miss., with the Revs. Grant Duncan and Greg Read officiating. Burial followed at Sharon Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, of 66 years, Inez Funderburg of Laurel, Miss.; daughters, Susie (James) Dearman of Sharon, Miss., and Joysie (Charles) Jackson of Pendorff, Miss.; sister, Gladys Leeth of Boaz; four grandsons, five great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Eva Marie Rains

Eva Marie Rains, 77, of Albertville, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2006, at Marshall Medical Center South.

Services are at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, Oct. 3, at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Revs. Gene Lambert, Jim Masters and David Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation is today at 1 p.m. at the church. Adams Funeral Home is in charge.

Mary Jo Simmons

Mary Jo Simmons, 76, of Albertville, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital.

Services are at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, Oct. 3, at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Tony Simmons and Ronny Simmons officiating.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby W. Simmons of Albertville; daughters, Patricia (Dewayne) Thompson of Fort Payne, Marlene (Michael) Koykar of Saymore, Tenn., and Kathlene (Bryan) Gellman of Crystal Lake, Ill.; sons, Michael (Taresa) Simmons of Jacksonville, Fla., and Joseph Simmons of Live Oak, Fla.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Laura Ann Teague

Laura Ann Teague, 65, of Guntersville, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006.

Services were at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, at Albertville Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Lambert officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

She was a homemaker who loved feeding birds and baking.

Survivors include daughters, Kelly Michelle Gunter and Melody Brock, both of Albertville; son, Josh Teague of Albertville; brothers, James Bolding and Billy Charles Bolding, both of Guntersville, and David Bolding of Albertville; sister, Bonnie Fricks of Albertville; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Bobby Gunter, Whitt Bolding, Dusty Brock, Joe Smith, Chris Gunter and Michael Bolding.

Betty Jane Thomason

Betty Jane Thomason, 75, of Guntersville, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, at Marshall Medical Center South.

Services are at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, Oct. 3, at Carr Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steven Swords officiating. Burial will follow at Marshall Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her husband, Frank W. Thomason of Guntersville; daughters, Patricia Schutts of Guntersville and Suzanna (Steve) Martin of Puyallup, Wash.; sons, David (Marlene) Thomason of Huntsville and Larry (Diane) Thomason of Yorktown, Va.; brother, Larry (Hope) Holloway, of California; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Thomason, Andy Thomason and Jamie McMeans.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Emma Holloway; and a son, Dennis Thomason.
