BREMEN, GEORGIA — Mrs. Eva Bernice Austin Bowman, 89, of Field Street, Bremen, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2006. She was born March 1, 1917, in Randolph County, Alabama the daughter of the late Mr. Gus Austin and the late Mrs. Della Horne Austin. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Chester Bowman; sister, Ora Mae Austin and brother, Herman Austin. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Nell and Edward Robinson of Villa Rica and Bonnell Spurling of Villa Rica; five sons and daughters-in-law, Morris and Earline Bowman of Talladega, Ala., Robert Bowman of Hiram, Mack and Minnie Bowman of Lineville, Ala. Michael and Shirley Bowman of South Dakota, Wallace and Debbie Bowman of Buchanan; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with the Rev. Happy Howard officiating. Interment will follow at Midway Memory Gardens in Talladega, Alabama. ROANOKE — Graveside services for Mrs. Margaret Ruth Brewer, age 84, formerly of Talladega, will be Saturday, Aug. 12, at 11 a.m. from the Winterboro Baptist Church Cemetery
with the Rev. Steve Dean officiating. Mrs. Brewer passed away Wednesday, Aug. 9, at Randolph County Hospital. Survivors are two daughters, Jean Parrott and her husband Don of Talladega and Teresa Jones and her husband Ray of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Angela Ash, Lisa Reed, and Julie Broome; and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Brewer is preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Brewer; and by a son, Johnny Brewer. Active pallbearers are Larry Vincent, John Vincent, Jamie Broome, Trey Reed, Mike Ash, and Lee Ferrell Jr. Mrs. Brewer was a native of Talladega County where she had lived most of her life. Former insurance agent for Booker T. Washington Life Insurance Company. Former owner/operator of "Eat A Plenty" Cafe' and Catering Service, Sylacauga. Wife of Mr. Henry L. Sanders Sr.; mother of Deborah and Phyllis L. Wesley; grandmother of Master Mark Wesley; sister of Dorothy Adair, Emily Johnson, and Harold Ballard; niece of Vader Turner (L.C.); and friend to all who knew and loved her. She will be cherished and greatly missed. Mrs. Sessums died Wednesday, Aug. 9, at Talladega Health Care Center. She was born in Munford and attended school there and also attended Jacksonville State University. After several years in Munford and the death of her first husband, Julius Hiett, she traveled, met and married Ellis D. Sessums and lived many years in Mississippi, and later returned to Talladega. She was Methodist by faith, and an avid reader and gardener. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis D. Sessums; mother, Claudia Thompson; father, Jim Robinson. She is survived by her brother, Paul Samuel Thompson Jr. and wife Elva of Toccoa, Ga; sister, Sue T. McCrimmon and husband Dan of Bessemer; nieces, Lee Ann McCrimmon Waits and Jessica Thompson Smith; nephew, Jon R. Thompson; and several great nieces and nephews. He dedicated his life to Christian ministry, serving numerous Southern Baptist churches and currently pastored Macedonia Baptist Church in Margaret, AL. He is survived by four sons; Larry Alexander of Huntsville, Fred Alexander of Oxford, Anthony Bo Mitchell (Brenda) of Southside, and Darrell Mitchell (Pat) of Pell City, two daughters; Diane Brooks (Roger) of Anniston and Karen Andrews of Pell City, one brother; Houston Alexander of Pell City, two sisters; Lois Tate of Dalton, Ga.and Ruth Bell of Gadsden, ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. GRANBURY, Texas - Dovie Sue Williams Schoolfield, 88, passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, at Glen Rose Medical Center in Glen Rose, Texas. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at Granbury Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wiley Funeral Home. Memorials: The family respectfully suggests that memorials be in the form of a contribution to a home for children or the charity of your choice. Mrs. Schoolfield was born June 27, 1918, to G.J. Williams and Birdie Harber Williams, in a log cabin in the Nubbin Ridge Community, in Hood County, Texas, and was raised in the Neri Community where she attended school. In 1935 she was married to John Boyd Schoolfield in Granbury where they lived until 1937, moving to Pampa, Texas. She was employed by Southwestern Public Service for several years. Mr. and Mrs. Schoolfield moved to Sylacauga, Ala. in 1967 where she owned a clothing store for children and her husband was comptroller for Southern Alloy Corporation. In 1992 they moved to Waxahachie, Texas where her husband preceded her in death in 1994. She moved to Granbury in 1996 and resided in The Estates and The Oaks and in Glen Rose at Cherokee Rose Manor. Mrs. Schoolfield was a life long member of the Baptist church with memberships in the First Baptist Churches of Pampa, Sylacauga and Waxahachie. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Edna Williams Lewis, and four brothers, Ernest, Edward, Hubert and Odell Williams. All were born and raised in Hood County. Survivors: Sons, John Boyd Schoolfield, Jr. and wife, Martha, of Hood County, James Robert Schoolfield and wife, Peggy (Casey), of Waxahachie, Texas and Ernest Lynn Schoolfield of Birmingham, Ala.; grandchildren, John Boyd III, Stacy, Clay, Sam, Anna, Mason and Nathaniel Schoolfield; nine great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Known both as Fran and Mamaw, she was a loving wife and caring mother. Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City will direct the service.
MARGARET HUGHSTON BAKER WILLIAMS
TALLADEGA - Graveside rites for Margaret Hughston Baker Williams, 83, will be Tuesday, October 10, at 11:00 a.m., at Hepzibah Baptist Cemetery, Talladega with the Rev. William Casady and the Rev. Joe Brown officiating. Mrs. Williams died Saturday, October 7 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega and a member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by sons, Alvin Donald Baker (Mary Kay) of Gulf Shores and Billy Clyde Williams (Pat) of Talladega; sisters, Mary Ann Edwards, Glenda Mowery both of Talladega and Linda Riddley of Sylacauga; brothers James Hughston, Kenneth Hughston and Frank Hughston all of Talladega; grandchildren, Meredith Hanson (Kyle), Matt Williams (Chris), and Amy June Williams; great grandchild, Sarah Kaityln Williams; brother-in-law, J. W. Baker, sisters-in-law, Bobbie Trammell and Gay Batchelor; niece, Melanie Moore (Grant); nephews, Patrick Trammell and Timothy Edwards; and many other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by husbands, John Alvin Baker and Bascom Clyde Williams; son, Tommy Ray Baker; parents, J.D. and Julia Hughston; brothers Billy Joe Hughston, Tommy Ray Hughston, and Clarence A. Hughston.
Pallbearers are Gary Trammell, Matt Williams, Tim Edwards, Kyle Hanson, Grant Moore, and Vance Mowery. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Hall of Heroes, Talladega Public Library. Usrey Funeral Home,Talladega, will direct the services.
