LUIN H. HICKEY
GOODWATER — Funeral service for Luin H. Hickey, 82, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Andrew's Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johnny Clark officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Hickey died May 29 at Chapman Healthcare Center. He was born May 15, 1920, in Clay County to Marion Thaniel Hickey and Mandy Eula Barnett Hickey. He worked on the assembly line at Madix for many years. He was a member of Andrew's Chapel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a son, Robert H. Hickey of Hanover; brother, Jimmie Hickey of Goodwater; sister, Sylvia Cleland of Alexandria; one grandson, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
Radney's Funeral Home in Alexander City will direct the service.
FRANK HUGHES JR.
EASTABOGA — Graveside service for Frank Hughes Jr., 79, of 38 Cunningham Lane, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in Parker Memorial Gardens with the Rev. W.J. Posey officiating.
Mr. Hughes died May 29 at Talladega Health Care Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son and one daughter.
He is survived by two sons, Johnnie L. Hughes of Lilburn, Ga., and Jeffrey Hughes of Jasper; two daughters, Pam Harris of Jasper and Alberta Winston of Fresno, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
Sims Funeral Service will direct the service.
LULA MAE LATHEM
MUNFORD — Funeral service for Lula Mae Lathem, 93, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Munford Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Foreman officiating. Burial will be in Munford Cemetery.
Mrs. Lathem died May 29 at Citizens BMC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodora Lathem, and a son, Eugene Lathem. She was a native of Tennessee and had lived in Munford for the past 50 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Munford Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary (Lucy) Elders of Oxford and Lee Smith of Munford; eight sons, George H. (Dan) Lathem, Aubrey D. (Duck) Lathem, William (Morg) Lathem, Roy M. (Sug) Lathem, Hershel Ray Lathem, Teddy Nappier (Ted) Lathem and Jerry O. Lathem of Munford and Billy Joe (Bill) Lathem of Talladega; one sister, Dorothy Camp of Delta; two brothers, William Nappier of Hollis Cross Road and Bobby Nappier of Anniston; 33 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be George A. Lathem, Jeff Lathem, Donald Elder, Max Lathem, Chad Lathem, LaDon Lathem, Teddy M. Lathem and Corey Wyatt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Elder and Justin Lathem.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.
Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
DORIS TAYLOR McBURNETT
LINCOLN — Funeral service for Doris Taylor McBurnett, 83, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Finley Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in Dry Valley Cemetery.
Mrs. McBurnett died May 29 at University Hospital in Birmingham. She was a native of Lee County and lived most of her life in Lincoln. She was a member of Lincoln Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, John McBurnett.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Chris McBurnett, Cory McBurnett, Casey Clark, Brian Green, Tim Vordenbaum and Terry Vordenbaum.
The Thalathea Sunday School Class at Lincoln Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lincoln Baptist Church.
Usrey Funeral Home will direct the service.
TESSIE McCRORY
CLEVELAND, Texas — Graveside service for Tessie McCrory, 34, formerly of Pell City, will be Friday at 5 p.m. in New Hope Cemetery. Funeral service was held Thursday at Green Lawn Memorial Funeral Home in Woodlands, Texas.
Mrs. McCrory died May 26.
She is survived by one son, Anthony Blake McCrory of Texas; her grandmother, Tracy Bice of Michigan; three sisters, Tory Barksdale of Texas, Tracy Tinney of Pell City and Tabitha Gann of Bessemer; one niece; one nephew and one great-niece.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday after 9 a.m.
Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.

DADEVILLE — Celia B. Pope died May 30 at Russell Medical Center.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Wright's Funeral Home.
WALTER TURNER PORTER
WEOGUFKA — Funeral service for Walter Turner Porter, 90, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Weogufka United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johnny Mann, the Rev. Robert Lee and the Rev. Danny Bynum officiating. Burial will be in Weogufka United Methodist Cemetery.
Mr. Porter died May 29 at Coosa Valley BMC. He was a teacher for 36 years, graduated from Auburn University in 1941 and was married for 60 years to Vivian Bazemore Porter. He was a member of the Masonic lodge, a member of the Cattlemen's Association and taught school in Sylacauga for 61 years. He was Man of the Year for the Cattlemen's Association, was a member of the Auburn Alumni Association and a member of Alabama Agriculture Teacher Association.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Bazemore Porter of Weogufka; one son, Turner Porter of Weogufka; one brother, Marshall Porter of Lexington; three sisters, Emma Pickens of Danville, Dona Adams of Loretto, Tenn., and Nancy Dunnam of Knoxville, Tenn.; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5:30 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Stokley Bazemore, John Frank Thompson, Craig Miller, Judd Adams, Charles Bazemore, Sonny Braden, Melvin Palmer and Troy Dunnam.
Honorary pallbearers will be Louis Weaver, Ray Payton and all former agriculture students.
The body may be viewed at the church Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Weogufka United Methodist Church.

RUTH ANN TILLEY
SYLACAUGA — Memorial service for Ruth Ann Tilley, 61, will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Tilley died May 29 at Goodwater Healthcare. She was born Nov. 11, 1940, in Ontario, Canada, to Harold Fredrick Richardson and Kathleen Brazzetta Wallace.
She is survived by two sons, Cory Lee Bowen of Bethalto, Ill., and Gary Sheldon Bowen of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Gwendlyn Murphy of Stewartville; her mother, Kathleen B. Davis; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Southern Care Hospice, 137 Franklin St., Alexander City, Ala., 35010.
