TALLADEGA — Infant Karamia Beavers, 5 months, passed away Dec. 19, at St. Clair Regional Hospital. Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will announce arrangements.

OXFORD — Funeral services for Mae L. Carter, 95, will be Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel with the Rev. Tim Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Harpersville Cemetery. Mrs. Carter died Monday, Dec. 19, at Beverly Health Care in Oxford. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Bunk" Carter; and daughter, Wilma Ingram.

She is survived by daughters, Flora M. Higgins of Hollins, Jerry Holcomb and husband Bill of Anniston, and Ruby Smith of Fayetteville; son, Raymond Carter and wife Shelia of Harpersville; sister, Juliet Milam of Harpersville; brother, Douglas Looney of Mobile; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel will direct the services.

GOODWATER — Ressie Mae "Spookie" Dawson died Tuesday, Dec. 20. Armour's Memorial Funeral Home will announce arrangements.

CLIFFORD DEAN "MONK" HAYES

KELLYTON — Funeral services for Clifford Dean "Monk" Hayes, 82, will be Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 2:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Alexander City with the Rev. Steve Dyess and the Rev. Wayne Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Kellyton Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hayes passed away Monday, Dec. 19, at Russell Medical Center. He was born on Sept. 20, 1923, in Coosa County to Madison Foster Hayes and Mable Kyle Hayes. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII; a truck driver all his life and retired from Kimberly Clark. He enjoyed fixing vehicles up. He was known as the "rolling Western Auto".

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jean S. Hayes of Kellyton; daughters, Deborah Fuller and husband Greg of Alexander City, Ronda Porch and husband Mack of Jackson's Gap, and Donna W. Baker and husband Wade of Jackson's Gap; son, Wallace Hayes and wife Doris of Alexander City; brothers, M.M. Hayes and wife Johnnie of Kellyton and Charlie Hayes and wife Nelda of Kellyton; sisters-in-law, Audy Hayes of Kellyton and Gladys Hagan of Kellyton; brother-in-law, Bobby Sorrell and wife Pat of Tyrone, GA; grandchildren, Shane Patterson, Selina Patterson, Andy Patterson, Joey Fuller and wife Kathryn, Heather Forbus and husband Jeremy and Woody Trimble III; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be given to the Kellyton Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 55, Kellyton, AL 35089 or to the Kellyton Memory Gardens Cemetery Fund. WILSONVILLE — Mary Ann Ingram, 56, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, in Wilsonville. Radney-Smith Funeral Home will announce arrangements.

JANIE MAE FREEZE JACKSON

PELL CITY — Funeral services for Janie Mae Freeze Jackson, 96, will be Thursday, Dec. 22, at 1 p.m. at Bloominglight Baptist Church in Pell City with Pastor Michael Harpe officiating. Burial will be in Roberson Chapel Cemetery in Pell City. Mrs. Jackson died Thursday, Dec. 15, at her residence. She was a life long resident of Pell City.

She is survived by her children, Alice (Joseph) Griffin of Riverside, Kathryn Coleman of Riverside, Nathaniel (Yetta) Jackson of Haywood, CA, Annie (Rendon) Marbury of Birmingham, Christine Ellison of Atlanta, GA, Mary (William) Murray of Riverside, Walter (Rita) Jackson of Birmingham, and Ronald (Myrna) Jackson of San Lorenzo, CA; 20 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. The body will lie-in-state at the church for one hour prior to the service. Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Rest In Peace Funeral Home will direct the services.

WILLIAM THOMAS "BILL" KILGORE

Anniston — Funeral services for Mr. William Thomas "Bill" Kilgore, age 68, will be Thursday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m. at Golden Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Roland Brown and the Rev. C. C. McCain officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens. Mr. Kilgore died Tuesday at Regional Medical Center. Mr. Kilgore, a well-known and respected businessman throughout Calhoun County, was a 1955 graduate of Anniston High School and graduated from Auburn University in 1959. He was owner and president of W. T. Kilgore Construction Co. Inc. for forty years and was a charter member, past president, and lifetime board member of the Calhoun County Homebuilders Association. Mr. Kilgore also served on the Anniston Electrical Board and was a member and deacon of the Golden Springs Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Gordon Kilgore and his mother, Georgia Ellen Jones Kilgore.

He is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Annis Reynolds Kilgore; a daughter, Cindy Kilgore Graham and her husband Corky Graham of Lincoln; a son, Michael Thomas Kilgore and his wife Teresa Kilgore of Oxford; three grandchildren, William Hunter Graham, Taylor Alexandra Kilgore, and Anna Elyse Graham; a brother-in-law, John Reynolds and his wife Faye Reynolds of Saks; a nephew, Chris Reynolds of Gadsden; a niece, Jennifer Heston of Dearmanville, and three great nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be R. C. Bryant, Aaron Taylor, Shorty Griffin, Chris Reynolds, Phil Webb, and Scotty Duke. Honorary pallbearers will be members of The Fisherman Sunday School Class. Brown & Kughn Memory Chapel in charge of service.

ASHVILLE — Funeral services for Margaret Christine Mathews, 78, will be Dec. 22, at 1 p.m. at Usrey Chapel. Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the services.

CLAYTON — Carrie McGhee, 88, formerly of Talladega, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, at her residence. Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will announce arrangements.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral services for John L. Miller, 84, will be Thursday, Dec. 22, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Hunter officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Miller died Thursday, Dec. 15, at Coosa Valley Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife, Mamie Miller of Sylacauga; sons, Marvin Miller of Sylacauga and Cedric Miller of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Sallie Gilyard of Tacoma, WA; sister, Robbie Huntley of Alexander City; brothers, Robert C. Miller, John Edward Miller, and Charlie E. Miller, all of Lincoln; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 21, from 12-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Family hour will be from 6-7 p.m. Flowerbearers will be granddaughters, nieces and friends of the family.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends of the family. Community Funeral Home will direct the services.

MARVIN PRUITT

CHILDERSBURG — Funeral services for Marvin Pruitt, 79, will be Thursday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel with the Rev. Joe Coley officiating. Burial will be in Midway Memory Gardens. Mr. Pruitt died Monday, Dec. 19, at his residence.

He is survived by his wife, Eunice Pruitt of Childersburg; sons, Jimmy Pruitt of Stewartville, Steve Pruitt of Goodwater, Mark Jefferson and James Jefferson, both of Childersburg; daughters, Diane Pruitt of Jacksons Gap and Sandra Pruitt of Goodwater; five grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 21, from 5:30-9 p.m. at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel. Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel will direct the services.

FRANK RIDDLE

CHILDERSBURG — Memorial services for Frank Riddle, 67, will be Thursday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Childersburg with the Rev. Byron White officiating. Mr. Riddle died Tuesday, Dec. 20, at his residence. He was retired from Kimberly Clark Corporation after 37 years of service.

He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Riddle Knox and husband Richard of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, Mark Riddle and wife Susan of Ocean Springs, MS, Barry Riddle and wife Kay of Prattville, and Robert Riddle and wife Carolyn of El Dorado, AR; grandchild, Hollie Knox; and great grandchild, Camille M. Knox. Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel will direct the services.

PEARLEE SUTTLE

LINCOLN — Funeral services for Pearlee Suttle, 69, will be Thursday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Joseph Stafford Rowser Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Suttle died Friday, Dec. 16, at St. Clair Regional Hospital. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She was formerly employed at St. Clair Regional Hospital and retired from Stringfellow Hospital. She is survived by daughter, Ophelia Suttle Nash of Lincoln; and sister, Dorothy Dawson of Lincoln. The body will lie-in-state at the church for one hour prior to the service. Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the services.

LILLIE MAE ROBINSON SWAIN

RAGLAND — Funeral services for Lillie M. Swain, 84, will be Thursday, Dec. 22, at 12 p.m. at Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Wallace Pinson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Swain died Thursday, Dec. 15, at St. Clair Regional Hospital. She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church where she was a deaconess; member of the senior choir, senior mission and secretary of the cemetery board.

She is survived by daughters, Beverly J. Swain of Birmingham and Bessie Williams of Forestville, MD; son, Lee Curtis Swain of Chattanooga, TN; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. The body will lie-in-state at the church for one hour prior to the service. Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the services.

VICKY W. WHITE

BIRMINGHAM — Vicky W. White, 45, died Dec. 19. She is survived by husband, Phil White; daughter, Jessica Popham and husband Josh; sons, William Barry Meek Jr. and wife Alyssa and Stewart Meek.

PELL CITY — Funeral services for Denise Ann Castleberry, 48, will be Friday, Dec. 23, at 11 a.m. at Kilgroe Chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Mitch Underwood and the Rev. Nelson Kimberly officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens. Miss Castleberry died Tuesday, Dec. 20. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Posey; and brother, Robert W. Posey. She is survived by her mother, Edith Green; brothers, Edward Posey of Pell City, James (Sheila) Posey of Attalla, Jerry (Cindi) Posey of Tuscaloosa, Rickey (Beth) Posey of Ragland; sister, Vickey Ezekiel of Pell City; 20 nieces and nephews; and 15 great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 22, from 6-9 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home. Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the services.

SYLACAUGA — Graveside service for Tommie Daniel Gammon, 81, will be Thursday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Todd Henderson officiating. Mrs. Gammon died Tuesday, Dec. 20, at her residence. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Roderick Gammon. She is survived by son, William Roderick Gammon Jr. and wife Cynthia of Snellville, GA; daughters, Victoria Gammon Ballard of Sylacauga and Deborah Gammon Ford and husband Joe L. of Opelika; sisters, Dorothy Daniel McCullough of Athens, GA, and Carter Daniel Roberts of Brunswick, GA; grandchildren, Rick Gammon III and wife Ashley, Christopher Gammon, Matthew Gammon, and Brynn Gammon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church in Sylacauga or a favorite charity. Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.

CECIL HOLLINGSWORTH

LINCOLN — Cecil Hollingsworth, 88, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Florence Hollingsworth; his daughters, Janet (Bill) Griffin of Dora, and Joy Wade of Tuscaloosa; his grandchildren Rick Griffin of Lincoln, Ryan Griffin of Dora, Dusty Wade of Montgomery, Holly Wade of Tuscaloosa, and Julianne Wade of Tuscaloosa; and his nieces Pam (David) Fitzgerald and Paula (Robert) Angle.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mr. Hollingsworth's name to the Big Oak Ranch, P.O. Box 507, Springville, AL 35146. Crestview Memorial Funeral Home in Adamsville is handling the arrangements.
