SYLACAUGA - Funeral Service for Albert Ronald Forbus, 60, will be Wednesday, April 6, at 1:00 p.m. at Eastside Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Snyder officiating. Burial will be at New Pine Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Forbus died Sunday, April 3 at Coosa Valley Medical Center.
He is survived by Daughter Melissa Chappell, Sylacauga; Grandchildren Debra Forbus, Sylacauga; David Forbus, Sylacauga; Mason Chappell, Sylacauga; Brothers Wayne Forbus, Montgomery; Walter Forbus, Montgomery; James Forbus, Idaho; Raymond Forbus, Alexander City; Sister Ruby Dean, Alexander City. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 5 from 5-9 p.m. at Curtis and Son North Chapel, Sylacauga.
Pallbearers will be Billy Forbus, Junior Forbus, Bubba Pike, Johnny Forbus, Josh Jones, and Brian Adams. Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel, Sylacauga, will direct the service.

MATTHEW ROBINSON BOUCHARD
STARKVILLE - Matthew Robinson Bouchard, 37, born April 4, 1967, died in his home of natural causes on April 2, 2005. He is preceded in death by his father Dennis Ford Bouchard, of Minter City, MS and his grandfather Byron Elbert Bouchard of Greenwood, MS. He is survived his mother Merle Robinson Bouchard of Calhoun, Ga., grandmother Evelyn Bouchard of Greenwood, MS, three brothers, Dennis Ford Bouchard, Jr. of Greenwood, Alexandre Long Bouchard and David Schilling Bouchard of Starkville, MS, one sister Christine Jonte' Bouchard of Starkville and step-mother Wingfield Bouchard of Starkville.
A life long member of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Greenwood, he graduated from Greenwood High School and Mississippi State University. As a member of the Peace Corps he served in French Congo. He was formerly employed by the Japanese government's foreign language program in Japan (JET). He currently worked for the Mississippi State University Department of Toxicology.
A memorial service will be at the Episcopal Church of Resurrection in Starkville on Friday, April 8th at 2 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1 pm. The the Rev. Brian Ponder and The the Rev. Elizabeth Wheatley will officiate.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the MSU Entomology Camp. An annual scholarship has been established as the Matt Bouchard Scholarship, MSU Entomology Camp, Entomology Department, Box 9775, MS State, MS 39762.

SYLACAUGA - Funeral service for Billy Ray McDonald, 55, will be at Tuesday, 3 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Keith Dennis and the Rev. Donald Grice officiating. Burial will be in Talladega Springs Cemetery, Talladega. Mr. McDonald died April 4 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arletha Greer and J.T. McDonald and his brother, Wayne McDonald.
He is survived by his sister, Peggy J. Andrews of Sylacauga; brother, Tommy Greer of Childersburg; sons, B.J. McDonald of Pell City and Shane McDonald of Sylacauga; daughter, Jamie McDonald of Sylacauga; Sister-in-Law, Bonnie McDonald; Special Friend, C.D. Welch and three grandchildren.

in Talladega. Mrs. Roberson died April 2 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She was born in Talladega County on November 28, 1927. She was Baptist by faith and married for 58 years.
She is survived by husband, William Ruben Roberson of Sylacauga; son, William Terry Roberson of Sylacauga; daughters, Judy Barnett of Weedowee, Vivian Crowe and Bonnie Coleman both of Sylacauga; sisters, Liz Baker of Alex City and Edna Butler of Part St. Joe, Fl.; grandchildren, Chris Knight, Brandon Waites, Adam Brett Waites, Clay Coleman, Kyle Coleman, Shay Roberson and Trey Roberson; great-grandchildren, C.J. TALLADEGA - John Lynn Beck Sr., 49, of 1004 Old Lincoln Highway, died April 5 at Decatur General Hospital. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary.
JOHN BRYANT CHRISTIE
John Bryant Christie of Wilmington, N.C., died on April 3, 2005 after an extended illness. He was born Dec. 3, 1925 in Talladega County, Alabama. His parents, John Henderson Christie and Willie Mae Bryant Christie; two sisters, Virginia Christie Joyner and Lou Christie Wade; and two nephews, Chris Wade and John Wade, preceded him in death. Mr. Christie attended Talladega High School and graduated from the University of Alabama on a football scholarship. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy in both theaters of the war. He participated in the Normandy invasion where he was wounded in action and received the Purple Heart.
For most of his life, Mr. Christie made his home in North Carolina, first in Charlotte, and later, in Wadesboro. He was an active member of Providence Methodist Church in Charlotte and the First United Methodist Church in Wadesboro. He was president of Huntley-Ashcraft-Christie Insurance, Christie Real Estate and Development and Factory Insurance Consultants. John was active in many civic organizations. While serving as president of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Jaycees, he was influential in establishing the first home for abused and battered children in North Carolina. He ran for the N.C. House of Representatives and served in leadership positions for the Republican Party.
In the mid 80s, Mr. Christie retired to his beach home in Wilmington, N.C. Surviving are his sons, Kenneth C. Christie of Raleigh, N.C., and John Bryant Christie Jr. of Palm Springs, Calif.; granddaughter, Laura Blair Christie and grandson, Paul Ryan Christie of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Mary Christie Henley of Talladega; nieces, Carol Henley Dear and Emily Henley Fulmer of Birmingham and Paulette Wade of Knoxville, Tenn.; nephews, Harvey Joyner Buntin of Tuscaloosa and Richard Joyner of Birmingham. A graveside service was conducted on Tuesday, April 5, at 2 p.m. in Pinehill Cemetery
in Talladega, with Dr. Bill Davis officiating under the direction of Talladega Funeral Home.

CROPWELL - Funeral service for Kathryn Foreman Giddens, 54, will be Thursday, April 7, at 11 a.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City. Burial will be in Valley Hill Memorial. Mrs. Giddens died April 5. She is survived by her husband, Robert Cole Giddens; two sons, Robert Cole Giddens Jr. and Michael Parke Giddens; two daughters, Laura Kathryn Howard and Cynthia Diana Abston; her mother, Eleanor Foreman; and one grandchild, Michael Blake Howard. KENNER, La. - Graveside service for Clement Ray Alvarado Jr., 57, will be Saturday, April 9, at 11 a.m. in Pine Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. John Whetstone officiating. Mr. Alvarado died April 5 in Kenner, La. He was a native of Talladega and a resident of Kenner, La., for the past 37 years. He was a Baptist by faith, was employed by Trans-Oceanic Shipping Co. Inc., and served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Alvarado of Kenner, La.; two sisters, Mary Shurbutt and husband Joe of Talladega and Linda Bullard and husband Ronnie of Talladega; two brothers, Tim Williams of Talladega and Johnny Wade and wife Dianne of Lafayette; and several nieces and nephews. Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the service.
EUGENE S. BROWN
CROPWELL - Funeral service for Eugene S. Brown, 85, will be Saturday, April 9, at 2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Gordon Lee and the Rev. James Blair officiating. Burial will be in Valley Hill Memorial. Mr. Brown died April 7. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the South Pacific with the 73rd Service Group-586th Engineer Squadron. He was employed with Southern Electric Steel for 15 years and retired from Local 92 Iron & Steelworkers Union in Birmingham. During retirement, he enjoyed farming and was known by local citizens as "Farmer Brown."
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Hazel Nixon Brown; three sons, Gary Brown (Suellen), Rick Brown (Angie) and Sammy Brown (Pat); three daughters, Linda Brand (late Charles Wayne Brand), Lavonne Goldstein (Steve) and Wanda Martin (Travis); one sister, Louise Tomlin; 16 grandchildren, Kimberly King (Jimmy), Wesley Brown, Lisa Brodrecht, Chuck Brand, Debbie Brand, Bobby Bowman, Ryan Bowman, Kiley Martin (Mitzi), Christa Kozer (Mike), Lyndsey Blair Brown, Grant Brown, Lora Beth Brown, Gavin Brown, Cayce Holmes, Samuel Brown and Loren Brown; and 11 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Kiley Martin, Bobby Bowman, Wesley Brown, Samuel Brown, Ryan Bowman and Jacob Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be Sterling Brown and Bert Tomlin.

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Funeral service for Mr. "Buddy" Hubbard, 81, of Columbia, S.C., will be at Saturday, April 9, at 2 p.m., at Greenlawn Funeral Home. Allan Whitacre will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Mr. Hubbard's grandsons, Matthew Hubbard Risse, Newman Dixon Hubbard, III (Hub), Daniel Hubbard Morbitzer, Christopher Charles Hubbard, David Hawk Morbitzer, and long time family friend, Clifford Brown (Peppy). Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Stevie Wyatt, Hub Wyatt, Mark Wyatt, Ronnie Thrower, Charles Hawk, and Clarke Hubbard. Memorials may be made to Tri-County Hospice, American Cancer Society, or The Parkinson's Foundation.
Mr. Hubbard died Wednesday, April 6, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Born in Renfroe, Ala., he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Newman Milton Hubbard and Lucy Rogers Hubbard. He was married to the late Grace Louise Hawk Hubbard for almost 48 years. Upon high school graduation in 1944, Mr. Hubbard joined the US Marine Corps. He completed boot camp training in Parris Island, S.C., and combat training in Hawaii. He served in the Pacific Theater during World War II, in the campaigns of Guam and Iwo Jima. Mr. Hubbard continued service in the Pacific following the Japanese surrender, and then returned to Sylacauga. He then began a long career as a sales representative for several companies, most of his career being with the American Pet Food Company/Sunshine Mills. He was a member of the BAMA Chapter of the Midlands and a tremendous fan of the Crimson Tide all of his life. He was also a past member of the Columbia Rose Society. Long Creek Church of Christ was his home church.
Buddy is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Newman Dixon Hubbard, Jr. and Linda of Charleston, S.C., daughter, Jane Risse, of Matthews, N.C., daughter and son-in-law Harriet and Alan Zwart of Lexington, S.C., grandchildren, Matthew Hubbard Risse (and wife Gayle), Robin Hubbard Long, Newman Dixon Hubbard, III, Daniel Hubbard Morbitzer, Christopher Charles Hubbard, David Hawk Morbitzer, great-grandsons Jackson and Wyatt Long, sister Cissy Wyatt of Sylacauga, brother Tommy Hubbard of Tucker, Ga., as well as many nieces and nephews, and his long-time dear friend, Louise Owens. Memorials may be made to Hospice, Cancer Society, and Parkinson's Foundation in lieu of flowers.
