RONALD M. BULLARD

FAYETTEVILLE — Ronald M. Bullard, 51, of Fayetteville, died March 6. Service will be at Fayetteville Methodist Church Tuesday, March 8, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Radney-Smith Funeral Home will direct the service.

GLENN FORD DUNCAN

MONMOUTH JUNCTION, N.J. — Funeral service for Glenn Ford Duncan, 51, of 32 Norton Road, will be Wednesday, March 9, at 11 a.m. at Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary chapel with the Rev. William Foster and the Rev. B.E. McKinney officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park.

Mr. Duncan died Feb. 28 at his residence.

He graduated from Westside High School. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ford Duncan, and was a member of Star of Zion African Methodist Episcopal of Zion Church. He was a graduate of Talladega College with a bachelor of art degree in chemistry. He earned a master of science degree in chemistry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He was employed at Bristol Myers Squibb as a research chemist. He is survived by his mother, Mildred Thomas Duncan of Talladega; and brother, Roderick Duncan of San Antonio, Texas.

Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.

Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the service.

MELVIN GADDIS

GOODWATER — Funeral service for Melvin Gaddis will be Tuesday, March 8, at 2 p.m. at Marietta Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Wright's Funeral Home will direct the service.

SARAH GARRETT

NORFOLK, Va. — Sarah Garrett, 58, formerly of Talladega, died March 5 in Virginia. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Sims Funeral Service.

FLORA MAE HUBBARD

ASHLAND — Funeral service for Flora Mae "Flo" Hubbard, 71, will be Wednesday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel in Talladega with the Rev. John Luckie officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Methodist Cemetery in Munford.

Mrs. Hubbard died March 6 at Clay County Nursing Home.

She was a native of Talladega County but lived in Ashland since 1972. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was retired from Palm Beach in Talladega.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Hubbard; parents Bill & Becky Brewer; and brothers Howard and Buddy Brewer. She is survived by sons, Herbert Ray "Bigun" Hubbard and Terry Lynn Hubbard of Ashland and John Allen Hubbard of Sylacauga; and grandchildren, Shavon "Buttons" Compton, Tony Lynn Hubbard and Terry Wayne Hubbard.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Wendall Wolfe, Leon Stephens, Don Stephens, Mickey Parks, Buddy Murner and Earl Stephens. Honorary pallbearers will be Perry Browning, Jeffery Compton, Harold Morris and Danny Paul Browning. Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the service.

EDNA LUCILLE MILLER

TALLADEGA — Funeral Service for Edna Lucille (Lucy) Miller, 85, will be Tuesday, March 8 at 1 p.m. at Hepzibah Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Hagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Miller died March 5 at Citizens BMC.

She was a native of Union Chapel and lived in Talladega for the past 25 years. She was a member of Hepzibah Baptist Church where she attended the Deborah Sunday School Class and was a member of the Joy Club. She was retired from Loveman's Department Store in Birmingham.

She is survived by her husband D.B. Miller, of Talladega; daughter Marilyn Heard of Atlanta, Ga.; sons Dudley Brandon Miller, III of Pensacola, Fla., and Charles Edward Miller of Dothan; 7 grandchildren; sister Opal Garner of Double Springs; Brother Charles Tucker of Double Springs; and special cousin Lois Hoffman of Pell City.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Miller, Matthew Miller, Gary Puckett, Jonathan Cole, David Damiani. Honorary pallbearers will be The Berean Men's Sunday School Class of Hepzibah Baptist Church. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct the service.

ROBERT POINTER

TALLADEGA — Robert Pointer, 72, of 3640 Whiting Road, died March 6 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary.

INEZ LAVELLE RAPE

SYLACAUGA — Graveside service for Inez Lavelle Rape, 92, will be Tuesday, March 8, at 2 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Miss Rape died March 7 at Mountain Lake Assisted Living.

She is survived by nephew, Jack R. Cleveland Jr. of Sylacauga.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Cleveland, Mike Cleveland, Jay Cleveland and David Cleveland.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mignon Methodist Church. Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.

BERNICE MACHEN WILLIAMS

SYLACAUGA — Graveside service for Bernice Machen Williams, 81, will be Wednesday, March 9, at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Russell officiating.

Mrs. Williams died March 7 at Coosa Valley Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight H. Williams Sr. She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by son, Dwight Hughett Williams Jr. and wife Mardre of Montgomery; brother, Clyde Machen of Sylacauga; grandchildren, Carrie W. Cole and Curt Williams; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 800 West Park St., Sylacauga, Ala., 35150, Coosa Valley Medical Center, 315 West Hickory St., Sylacauga, Ala., 35150 or a favorite charity.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:30 until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga will direct the service.

GERTRUDE WHATLEY

ALEXANDER CITY — Funeral service for Gertrude Whatley will be Wednesday, March 9, at 2 p.m. at Early Rose Baptist Church. Burial will be in Great Bethel Cemetery. Wright's Funeral Home will direct the service.

WILLIE H. WOODALL

VINCENT — Willie H. Woodall, 38, died March 6 at his residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Sims Funeral Service.

CLAXTON RILEY GILBERT

TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Claxton Riley Gilbert, 79, will be Wednesday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at Talladega Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bill Huffaker officiating. Burial will be in Hepzibah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Gilbert died March 12 at Bill Nichols Veterans Home in Alexander City.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County, was a member of the Hepzibah Baptist Church, was retired from Suburban Gas and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He is survived by wife, Helen P. Gilbert of Talladega; daughters, Rita F. Ferguson of Childersburg, Marjorie Gilbert of Lincoln, and Shelia Griffin of Pell City; sister, Bertha Tinsley of Alpine; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Griffin, James Ray Patterson, Terry Gilbert, Billy Hurst, Gary Moreland and Frankie Tinsley. Honorary pallbearers will be J.C. Proctor, Roy Burgess, Dayton Cook, Donald Robinson, Jerry James, Doug James and Ed Tinsley.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.

GLADYS Jones HARRIS

RAGLAND — Funeral Service for Gladys Jones Harris, 92, will be Wednesday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Riverside with the Rev. Tillmon Harris, the Rev. Ives Harris, and the Rev. Doug Ford officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Riverside.

Mrs. Jones died March 13.

She was a lifetime member of Oak Grove Baptist Church No.2.

She was preceded in death by her husband J.C. Harris, son-in-law Bob Daffron and grandson Steve Harris.

The family would like to thank Alacare Hospice and nurses Ruth Pope, Lisa Hambright, Christie and Dana for their special care during this time.

She is survived by sons, the Rev. Tillmon Harris and his wife Fae, and the Rev. Ives Harris and his wife Pat; daughter, Syble H. Daffron; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 16, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home. Kilgroe Funeral Home of Pell City will direct.
