ERNEST CUNNINGHAM JR.
VINCENT — Funeral service for Ernest Cunningham Jr. will be Saturday, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m. at Coosa Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. W.J. Posey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Cunningham died Jan. 23 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Cunningham Sr. and Clara Bell Cunningham; two children, Erna Jean Kelley and Stephen Cunningham; and an aunt.
He is survived by his wife, Mattie Louise Cunningham; daughters, Kim Marcia Cunningham and Donna Kae Cunningham of Cleveland, Ohio; sisters, Bernest Hargrove of Columbus, Ohio, Denise Deramus of Hobson City, Cora Stamps of Chesapeake, Va., Cassandra Cunningham of Hobson City, Anita Cunningham of Hobson City and Opal Thomason of Hobson City; brothers, Clayton Cunningham of Cleveland, Ohio, Joe Louis Cunningham of Hobson City, Kenneth Cunningham of San Antonio, Texas, Jerome Cunningham of Hobson City and Rickey Cunningham of Anniston; six grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.

VIOLA HERRING DATES
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Viola Herring Dates, 85, of 197 Wolf Pond Road, will be Saturday, Jan. 29, at 1 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Alpine with Pastor George Armstrong and the Rev. Vincent Dortch officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Dates died Jan. 22 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Herring and Lola Jones Herring; her husband, Fred Dates Sr.; sons, Nelson Dates, Clyde Dates, Matthew Dates and Fred Dates Jr.; brothers, William Herring, Rayfield Herring, Otis Herring and John Herring. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, served as a deaconess, member of the Missionary Society and the Golden Girl Saving Club. She was a member of the Senior Choir.
She is survived by daughters, Lola Abercrombie of Cleveland, Ohio, Roberta Swain of Talladega, Elizabeth Lavalias of Chicago, Ill., Delores Williams of Talladega and Vanessa Dortch of Villa Rica, Ga.; son, Jackie Dates; sisters, Mary Abercrombie and Tisha Swain of Talladega and Emma Reynolds and Annie Pearl Swain of Alpine; brothers, Arthur Herring of Talladega, Alphonza Herring of Solon, Ohio and Walter Herring of Sylacauga; 36 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; stepbrothers, Earlie Morris and Paul Morris of Alpine; and stepsister, Ruby Mary Garrett.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

PRINCE ROGERS PATTERSON
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Prince Rogers Patterson, 22, of 241 Long St., will be Saturday, Jan. 29, at 1 p.m. at DeForest Chapel at Talladega College with the Rev. Timothy Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in Midway Memory Gardens.
Mr. Patterson died Jan. 22. He attended Talladega High School and Talladega County Central High School, where he played football. He was a member of Belview Baptist Church, where he was a member of the youth ministry, youth choir and Belview Church Steppers. He was co-partner of Big G’s Bar Be Que. He was preceded in death by his father, Prince Rogers Jr.; and his grandparents, Willie E. Patterson Sr., Pauline Rogers and Prince Rogers Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Breda P. Morris of Talladega; his stepfather, Gary L. Morris of Talladega; sisters, Sarina Patterson of Birmingham and Dinah Spanks and Candice Spanks of Talladega; brother, Jabari Rogers of Talladega; his grandparents, Hattie Mae Patterson of Avon Park, Fla., and Robert L. (Willie) Morris of Talladega; 11 aunts; and eight uncles.
The body may be viewed at DeForest Chapel for one hour before the service.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Stanton, Kennith Turner, Bartarous Chatman, Kevin Miller, Bobby Jenkins Jr. and Anthony Jackson.

LILLIE MAE GARRETT WESLEY
CHILDERSBURG — Funeral service for Lillie Mae Garrett Wesley, 85, will be Saturday, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m. at Tallasahatchie Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Jemison officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Wesley died Jan. 22 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She was a member of Tallasahatchie Missionary Baptist Church, was a former Sunday school teacher and superintendent of Sunday school. She was a member of the Missionary Society, Matrons and was children’s trip coordinator. She was a member of the Community Action Agency, P.T.A. and past treasurer of the Shelby Springs District Association. She was a member of Cheerful Givers Society No. 1. She was preceded in death by her husband, Booker T. Wesley Sr.; and sons, Booker T. Wesley Jr., Wilbert Forrest Wesley and Otis Wade Wesley.
She is survived by daughters, Lillie Wesley Jackson of Talladega, Ann Wesley of Talladega, Willie Belle Wesley of Columbus, Ohio, Geraldine Wesley Barnett of Childersburg and Ina Wesley of Tuscaloosa; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Friends of the family will serve as flowerbearers.
The body may be viewed at the church from 9 a.m. until service time.
The family will receive friends Friday from 3 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

PELL CITY — Graveside service for Levi Williamson, 99, of 1114 Kings Circle, will be Friday, Jan. 28, at 2 p.m. in Coleman Cemetery
in Riverside with Pastor W.J. Posey officiating.
Mr. Williamson died Jan. 25 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Adell Williamson of Pell City; daughters, Linda Joyce Williamson of Riverside and Cassandra Gail Bowie of Pell City; sons, Lee Arthur Williamson of Pell City, Ronald Eugene Williamson of LaGrange, Ga., and Richard Williamson of Pell City; brother, Donnie Williamson of Alabaster; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.

TIPTON, Ga. — Tommy Bell, 59, died Jan. 26 at his residence.

FAYETTEVILLE — Funeral service for John A. Carter, 71, will be Saturday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m. at Fayetteville United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Limbaugh officiating. Burial will be in Fayetteville Methodist Cemetery
in Fayetteville.
Mr. Carter died Jan. 27 at his residence. He was an active member of Fayetteville United Methodist Church. He loved to play golf and attend his grandsons’ baseball and football games.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Virginia Carter of Sylacauga; sons, Greg Carter and wife Robin of Childersburg and Glenn Carter of Sylacauga; brother, Steve Carter of Royal Oak, Mich.; sisters, Ann Heim and husband Robert of Crofton, Md., and Mary Chance and husband Woody of Montgomery; and grandsons, Justin Carter and Jake Carter of Childersburg.
The family will accept flowers or contributions may be made to Fayetteville United Methodist Church, 5441 Old Fayetteville Road, Sylacauga, Ala., 35151.

Infant Gray died Jan. 26 at University Hospital. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tommy J. and Mary Tuck.
He is survived by his parents, Joseph Gray and Tamara Tuck of Alexander City; his grandparents, Christine and Bobby Gray of Alexander City; sister, Kazri Gray of Alexander City; and a host of other relatives.

MASSACHUSETTS — Funeral service for Howard "ReRun" Groce, 46, formerly of Lincoln, will be Saturday, Jan. 29, at noon at St. Mary Baptist Church in Lincoln with Bishop James Truss officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
Mr. Groce died Jan. 24 at Caritas Carney Hospital in Dorchester, Mass. He lived most of his life in Lincoln and was a graduate of Lincoln High School. He worked at Pitt Stop Barbecue.
He is survived by sons, Quindalen Groce and Quartess Groce of Anniston; daughters, JuBeshia Loveberry and Elyser Groce of Anniston; sisters, Carolyn Smith of Talladega and Luran Fomby of Lincoln; brothers, Robert Groce of Lincoln and Carl Groce of Birmingham; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Omega Pearson, Kenneth George, Tony George, Rosco McNeil, Willie Orr and Gene McCluney.

CHILDERSBURG — Funeral service for Bobby Ray Munkus, 70, will be Friday, Jan. 28, at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg chapel with the Rev. Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Fayetteville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Munkus died Jan. 26 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair. He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Ray Munkus; a daughter, Vicki Duarte; his mother, Lena Munkus; and father, Seth W. Munkus.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy F. Munkus of Childersburg; daughter, Lesa Hamel and husband Jack of Hoover; son, John Gore and wife Teresa of Arab; sisters, Betty Cain of Birmingham and Linda Little and husband James of Chatham, Va.; nine grandchildren; 10 nieces and nephews; daughter-in-law, Landis Munkus; and son-in-law, John Duarte.
Pallbearers will be Ed Cain, Richard Cain, David Caine, Joshua Cain, Jeremy Caine and Mark Withrow.

Miss Taylor died Jan. 25 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Evelyn Salters.
