DADEVILLE Graveside funeral service for Lester C. Pete Hill, 56, will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Talladega Springs Cemetery
with the Rev. Milton Morris officiating.
Mr. Hill died March 30 at Lake Martin Community Hospital.
He is survived by five brothers, George D. Hill of Childersburg and Martin W. Hill, Rufus K. Hill, Henry M. Hill and Jimmy T. Hill of Sylacauga; and five sisters, Marie Riederer of Iron River, Wis., Mildred Rush of Birmingham, Gladys Hughes of Childersburg, Irene Turner of Alexander City and Lorene Hill Headrick of Sylacauga.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.

TALLADEGA Funeral service for Joseph D. Jackson, 76, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church with Dr. B. E. McKinney officiating. Burial will be in Talladega Memorial Garden.
Mr. Jackson died March 28 at Talladega Health Care Center.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy H. Jackson of Talladega; and two sisters, Mary Brawley of Leighton and Ruthie Taylor of Silver Springs, Md.
Deacons of Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church will be pallbearers.
Deaconess of the church and members of its choir will be flowerbearers.

SYLACAUGA Funeral service for Aurelia Mamasid King, 94, will be Monday at 3 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby L. Harris officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. King died March 25 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and a retired cook at B. B. Comer High School.
She is survived by 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons and nephews will be pallbearers.

PENSACOLA, Fla. Funeral service for Elizabeth Ann Kelley Salaun, 31, will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel. Burial will be in Greenhill Memorial Cemetery
in Childersburg.
Mrs. Salaun died March 27 at her residence.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Emory Putman of Childersburg; her stepfather, Nolen Putman; her father, William Clinton Kelley of Pensacola Fla.; three sons, Gavin Michael Salaun of Chalmet, La., William Tichenor and Tylor Tichenor of New Orleans; one grandmother, Mary Ida Dillon of Mountain Brook; and one brother, William Michael Allen of Birmingham.

HUNTSVILLE Memorial service for Julia S. Whitsett, 89, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Montgomery with Dr. Karl Stegall officiating.
Mrs. Whitsett died March 29. She was born in 1912 to Thomas Jake and Eunice Shell of Georgiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Daniel C. Whitsett. Together, they served in three different conferences of the United Methodist Church for more than 40 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Abrames of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; two sons, Daniel C. Whitsett Jr. of Huntsville and Dr. Stan F. Whitsett of Seattle; one brother, Thomas J. Shell of Mobile; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at First United Methodist Church Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m.
Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to First United Methodist Church in Montgomery, a local United Methodist Church or Huntingdon College in Montgomery.

HARPERSVILLE Funeral service for Thelma Garrett, 79, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Harpersville Baptist Church with the Rev. William Rayfield and the Rev. Zane Smith officiating. Burial will be in Harpersville Cemetery.
Mrs. Garrett died April 2 at her residence. A member of Klein Baptist Church, she was a native of Talladega County.
She is survived by four sons, Tommy Garrett of Sterrett, Gary Garrett of Frostproof, Fla., Danny Garrett and Harold Garrett of Harpersville; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
