ROANOKE - Services for James "Pee Wee" Hodges, age 85, will be released at a later date by Quattlebaum Funeral Home. Mr. Hodges died April 22, at Wedowee Hospital.
Homesley
JACKSONVILLE - Funeral services for Velma Sexton Homesley, 90, of Jacksonville will be Saturday at 3 p.m. from the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel, with the Rev. Leslee Bailey officiating. Burial will be at Thomas Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for 2 hours prior to services. Mrs. Homesley died Friday at Regional Medical Center, Anniston.
Survivors include her niece and primary caregiver, Sherry Fagan and her husband Ray, of Piedmont; step daughter, Amenda White, of Social Circle, Ga.; sister, Gladys Sexton, of Anniston; four step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her Nephews. Mrs. Homesley was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County and attended Tredegar Chapel Congregational Holiness Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Harry Homesley.
Hulsey
SAKS - Funeral services for April Clapper Hulsey, age 30, of Saks will be Sunday, April 24, at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Thrower and Bishop Leroy Austin officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel Cemetery. Mrs. Hulsey died Thursday in Oxford.
Survivors include her husband, Donnie Hulsey, Jr., of Panama City, Fla.; one son David Hulsey of Anniston; her mother, Vicki Clapper of Anniston; one sister, Amy Barker of Saks; grandparents, Dorothy Anderson of Alexandria; Joe and Mattie Mae Morris of Anniston and David Clapper, Sr. of New York; two nephews, Ryan and Jamie Hanson and one niece, Kinidi Hodge.
Pallbearers will be Eric Anderson, Jeffrey Russell, Dave Bentley, Kyle Wyatt, T.J. Russell, Chris Russell and Jackie Tant, Jr. Mrs. Hulsey was a native and lifelong resident of Anniston. She attended Wellborn High School and Saks Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, daughter and aunt. She was preceded in death by her father David Clapper, Jr., sister April Michelle Clapper, grandfather Charles Anderson and cousin Fayla Michelle Robinson.

JACKSONVILLE - Funeral services for Raymond Grady (R.G.) Parris, 69, of Jacksonville will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, with the Rev. Bert Breland, the Rev. Bob Ford and Chaplain Robert Washington officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, this evening from 6-8 p.m. Mr. Parris died Thursday, April 21, at his residence.

Parris of Jacksonville; four daughters: Cecelia Smith and her husband Homer, of Jacksonville; Carol Edwards of Bessemer, Ala.; Denise Williams and her husband Victor, of Centreville, Ohio; Anita Corbin and her husband Scott, of Springville, Ala.; six sisters: Jerrice Lusk and her husband Randy, of Anniston; Barbara Bishop and her husband Mike, of Trussville; Betty Mchaffey and her husband Nelson, of Jacksonville; Dorothy Norman and her husband Mark, of Jacksonville; Annette Black and her husband Kyle, of Anniston; and Teresa King and her husband Charles, of Tallapoosa, Ga.; two brothers Ray Parris and his wife Shelby, of Anniston; Adrian Parris and his wife Louise, of Cedar Bluff; Sister-in-law: Pat Parris, of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; eight nieces and twelve nephews.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Shaw, Bill Butterworth, Mark Norman, Calvin Warren, Bill Williams and Ken Perry. Honorary pallbearers are Gideons and Deacons of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. Mr. Parris, an Army/National Guard veteran, was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. He served as a member of J.O.Y. Singers, Oddfellows, Community Chest, Baptist Campus Ministry Advisory and Zoning Board, the Board of Directors of Jacksonville State Bank and the Hiram Lodge #42 F&AM. He was a Gideon, a volunteer emergency technician and was one of the original volunteer E.M.T.'s for the City of Jacksonville. He was a Liberty National agent for 12 years and owned and managed the local Western Auto Store. Mr Parris was preceded in death by his parents Frank Lester Parris and Clara Roberts Parris and a brother Milton Parris. Willingham
OXFORD - Funeral services for Robert Michael (Mike) Willingham, Sr., 50, of Valley Head and formerly of Oxford, will be today at 1 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kent Maddox officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Willingham died Thursday in Lincoln.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Willingham; four sons, Mike Willingham, Jr. and Kevin Carter, both of Anniston, Rusty Carter and Eric Willingham, both of Valley Head; one grandson, Blake Pearce Willingham; his parents, Sylvia Parker, of Valley Head and Robert Harold Willingham, of Anniston; two sisters, Phyllis Russell, of Gaylesville and Pam McCrelles, of Jacksonville; and two brothers, Kenny Willingham, of Smyrna, Tenn. and Dennis Hazel, of Heflin.

ROANOKE - Funeral services for Mr. Rickie Lewis Wright, 26, of Roanoke will be Tuesday, April 26, at 1 p.m. at Burkes Chapel United Methodist Church in Wedowee, with the Rev. James Wright officiating and Clark Memorial Funeral Service in charge. Burial will be in Burkes Chapel UMC Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, April 25 from 10 a.m until 6 p.m. The body will be at the church one hour before the services. Mr. Wright died Wednesday, April 20, at Randolph Medical Center in Roanoke.

OXFORD - Funeral services for Mabel Crabtree Young, age 91, of Oxford will be Sunday April 24, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in Forestlawn Mausoleum. Mrs. Young died Friday at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Angus Young of Oxford; three sons, Larry A. Young and his wife, Linda P. Young of Oxford; Terry G. Young and his wife Marie W. Young of Oxford and Billy N. Fitts and his wife Jesse M. Fitts of Spencer; seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

ANNISTON - Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie O'Netha Chatman, 56, of 2524 Paul Circle, Anniston, Ala., will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. W.S. Fields, Pastor, officiating, and Ervin Funeral Chapel in charge. Entombment will be at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home. Mrs. Chatman died Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include two sisters, Tonya Boyd, her husband Jerome, of Corona, Calif. and Cathy Scott, of Anniston; two brothers, Walter Young, his wife, Jovita, of Anniston, Willie James Young, of Lithonia, Ga.; three aunts, Earline Carmichael, Jeanette Story, both of Chicago, Ill., and Eunice Williams, her husband, Clarence, of Cerrotis, Calif.; one uncle, George Porter, his wife, Agnes, of Anniston; seven nieces and nephews; four great-nieces, three great-nephews, and a host of special relatives and friends.

in Heflin with Dryden Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Kerr died Tuesday at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Williams Kerr, of Heflin; a son, Henry Alan Kerr, his wife, Amanda, of Heflin; two daughters, Kathy K. Cassell, her husband, Jeffrey, of Athens, Ala., Sherry G. Kerr, of Heflin; two brothers, Lee R. Kerr, of Clarksville, Tenn., Winfred Kerr, of Heflin; five grandchildren, Chip Jones, Michael Easley, Emily Bishop, Alana Smith, Jada Kerr; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Kerr, a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County, was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, and a Deacon of Happy Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry A. and Atha Kerr; three sisters, Mildred Gaines, Kathleen Jones, and Adeline Blanton.

LAWTON, Okla. - Memorial service is pending for Myrtle Mae King, 61, of Lawton Oklahoma. Arrangements are with Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. Ms. King died on Monday, March 14, 2005, at a local hospital. She was born on April 19, 1943, in Birmingham, Ala., to Berry Bryant and Ida Mae Haorn Hopkins. She worked as a nurses aide in the home health care industry, a security guard with the Talladega Super Speedway, and a security guard for the Harley Davidson Test Facility, in Alabama. She was married to Donald L. King. They owned and operated Aaron Appliances until he died in December 9, 1978.
Survivors include her daughters, Lola Jean Neasbitt and her husband Louis of the home, and Linda Wainwright of Duncan, and numerous grandchildren, aunts, uncles and cousins in Oklahoma, Alabama and Virginia. She is preceded in death by sisters, Alice Grace Altizer and Lola Dallas Hopkins and a son, Willie Kenneth Coleman, Jr.

ANNISTON - Services for Helen Florine Locke, 90, of Anniston will be 2 p.m. Friday at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time on Friday. Mrs. Locke died Tuesday at her residence.
Survivors include three daughters, Helen Edwards Scott, her husband Terry Wayne Scott, of Anniston, Marion Ann Davis, her husband, Robert Benny Davis, of Saks, and Linda Lee Mann, of Jacksonville; two sons, William David Locke, of Anniston, and Thomas Michael Locke, his wife, Valeria Locke, of Omaha, Nebraska; a sister, Elizabeth Gunn, of Anniston; seven grandchildren, Wendy Edwards Blissett, Cynthia Ann Haynes, Debbie Webb, Bruce Franklin, Amy Elaine Edwards, Brittney Locke, Allison Locke; four great-grandchildren. ANNISTON - Services for Ms. Helen Randle, age 94, of Anniston, Ala. will be today at 2:00 p.m. at Forestlawn Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, with Gray Brown Service Mortuary and Crematory in charge and the Rev. David Swinney officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until service at the Mausoleum. Ms. Randle died Tuesday in Anniston.
Survivors include her brother, Ross Allen, of Anniston, and several nieces and nephews. Ms. Randle was a native and longtime resident of Calhoun County and a member of HillCrest Baptist Church. She was Owner/Operator of Randle Cash and Carry Groceries. Also, a member of the Pink Ladies with RMC. Preceded in death by her husband Thomas S. Randle.
Smith
TUSCALOOSA - William D. Smith, II died of pneumonia on March 14, 2005 at University Hospital in Birmingham. Bill David, as he was known to friends and colleagues, was born at the home of his maternal grandparents in Merigold, Miss. on February 15, 1933. His childhood years were spent in Gadsden.
Mr. Smith graduated from the University of Alabama with bachelor and master degrees in accounting. He was a founding partner of the accounting firm, Morrison & Smith, LLP. Bill David was a leader in the accounting profession, serving as President of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and Chairman of its State Legislation Committee. He was a member of the Council of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and served on numerous governmental affairs committees.
Mr. Smith was also a member of the Board of Directors for the Alabama Trust Fund and the Business Council of Alabama. Primary civic interests were serving on the Tuscaloosa County Juvenile Court Advisory Board and the Alabama Juvenile Justice Coordinating Coucil.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Bandy Smith; son, William David Smith, III of Birmingham, his wife Laura Holland Smith; granddaughter, Ella Hixon Smith; grandsons, Will Smith, and Foster Smith; son, Stuart Edwin Smith, of Huntsville, his wife Erica Valentino Smith, grandsons, Roman and Julian Smith; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Wrobel Smith; granddaughters, Catherine Bandy Smith and Stuart Elizabeth Smith; brother, Dr. Samuel Rushing Smith, of Anniston, his wife, Christa Griener Smith and sons, Hans Smith and Alex Smith; daughters, Rusha Smith Posser and Kim Smith Robinson. He was preceded in death by daughter, Milyn Bandy Smith; son, Bradley Rushing Smith; father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick William Smith, of Gadsden.
Visitation will be at Christ Episcopal Church in Tuscaloosa today from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Evergreen Cemetery
in Tuscaloosa with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home in charge. A Eucharist at noon at Christ Episcopal Church will follow the graveside service with the Rev. Hoyt Winslett and the Rev. David Landers officiating.
