ALEXANDER CITY — Cheryl G. Goggans died Dec. 23 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair.

PELL CITY — Funeral service for Jessica Renee Morrow, 19, will be Monday, Dec. 27, at 1 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Larry Morgan officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens.
Miss Morrow died Dec. 22. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, William Morrow; and her sister, Crystal Morrow.
She is survived by her parents, Thomas and Anita Morrow; grandparents, Billy Ray and Marie Thomason and Sally Jo Morrow; great-grandparents, Mavis and Lee Edward Bice; brother, Christopher Morrow; sisters, Sharon Parker and Stephanie Morrow; and nieces, Deanna Morrow and Jocelyn Parker.
Pallbearers will be Chris Simmons, Tony Glanze, Bubba Morrow, Richard Morrow, Brandon Voils and Robert Morrow.
Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.

WEST POINT, Miss. — Graveside service for Albert M. Patterson, 70, will be Monday, Dec. 27, at 1 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery
in West Point with E. Scott Allen officiating.
Mr. Patterson died Dec. 22 at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. He was a Methodist by faith and was employed in maintenance at Amory Hospital for many years. He was a native of Talladega and was a veteran of the National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Synda Collier and Francis V. Patterson.
He is survived by daughters, Deborah Patterson and Carol Patterson of Ashtabula, Ohio; sons, Teddy Lee Patterson, Julius Patterson and Jerry Patterson of Ashtabula, Ohio; sisters, Myrtle Machen of Sylacauga, Margie Wynn of Sycamore, Betty Lanhrip of Ashland, Ann Epperson of Childersburg and Rita Martin of Sycamore; and brother, Horace Patterson of Sycamore.
Calvert Funeral Home in West Point will direct the service.
ROBERT ELMER STORTENBECKER SR.
RAGLAND — Funeral service for Robert Elmer Stortenbecker Sr., 64, will be Friday, Dec. 24, at 10 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor David Wood officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens in Pell City.
Mr. Stortenbecker died Dec. 22 at his residence. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Stortenbecker; daughter, Denise Haines; sons, Robert E. Stortenbecker Jr. and Jacob Matthew Stortenbecker; sister, Nancy Heller; brothers, James Stortenbecker, Thomas Stortenbecker and David Stortenbecker; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 9 until 10 a.m. at the church.

SCOTT ROBERT BLUMENSCHEIN
TALLADEGA - Funeral service for Scott Robert Blumenschein, 43, will be Friday, Dec. 31, at 2 p.m. at Hepzibah Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Hagan officiating. Burial will be in Hepzibah Baptist Cemetery.
Mr. Blumenschein died Dec. 28 at his residence. He was a native of Michigan, had lived in Talladega since 1990 and was an active member of Hepzibah Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert N. Blumenschein.
He is survived by his wife, Valeska Blumenschein of Talladega; daughters, Stefanie and Melanie Blumenschein of Talladega; his mother, Norma J. Blumenschein of Talladega; sister, Teresa Claypool of Michigan; brother, Douglas Blumenschein of Talladega; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Hepzibah Baptist Church Building Fund.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Cence, Adam Pennington, Bryan Wood, Doug Blumenschein, Mike Bradford and Beaver Tinsley.

ROCKFORD - Memorial service for Shadrick J. Jones Jr., 65, will be Saturday, Jan. 1, at 1 p.m. at Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Alexander City with Minister J.D. Belyeu officiating.
Mr. Jones died Dec. 27 at Russell Medical Center in Alexander City. He was born Feb. 14, 1939, in Coosa County. He was preceded in death by his father, Shadrick J. Jones Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Claudine K. Jones of Rockford; daughters, Sabrina Patterson of Snellville, Ga., Edwina Lee of Andalusia and Monica Mitchell of Grapevine, Texas; son, Cyrus Jones of Alexander City; five grandchildren; his mother, Cora Mae Brown Jones of Alexander City; brother, Donald Jones of Youngstown, Ohio; and a host of other relatives.

PELL CITY - Funeral service for Lucille McGowan, 93, will be Friday, Jan. 31, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Cropwell with the Rev. W.L. Martin officiating. Burial will be in Coleman Field Cemetery
in Riverside.
Mrs. McGowan died Dec. 22 at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of St. Clair County and was a member of First Baptist Church of Cropwell. She was a member of Chapter 718 A.B. Geter Order of Eastern Stars.
She is survived by sons, J.P. McGowan and Frank McGowan of Pell City; daughter, Christine Smith of Pell City; 15 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

HAZEL JUANITA CARMICHAEL
RIVERSIDE - Funeral service for Hazel Juanita Carmichael, 70, of 90 Honeysuckle Way, will be Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Riverside with the Rev. Nathaniel McRath officiating. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery.
Mrs. Carmichael died Dec. 16 at Medical Center East in Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her parents, Issac and Agnes Carter; her husband, Fred Carmichael; daughter, Gwendolyn Verges; sisters, Gertrude Brewster, Lottie Embry and Claudia Warford; brothers, Charles Carter and Arthur Carter; four grandchildren; and her one and only son-in-law, George Wade.
She is survived by daughters, Chichita Carmichael, Renee Wade, Rozita Carmichael and GiGi Carmichael of Riverside and Patrice Carmichael of Lincoln; sons, Willie Carter of Detroit, Mich., James Carmichael of Jacksonville, Johnny Carmichael of Oneonta, Sidney Carmichael of Heflin, Kevin Carmichael, Duncan Eric Carmichael and Carlos Carmichael of Riverside; sister, Mattie Finley of Riverside; stepson, Bernard Fomby of Lincoln; 37 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

CLARA S. DEMING
PELL CITY - Funeral service for Clara S. Deming, 75, will be Wednesday, Dec. 22, at noon at First Baptist Church in Pell City with the Rev. Ronnie C. Beavers officiating. Burial will be in Robinson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Deming died Dec. 17 at God’s Care House in Lincoln. After returning to Pell City in 1987, she became a member of First Baptist Church. She retired from Wayne County General Hospital in Detroit, Mich., where she served as an R.N. in pediatrics and obstetrics.
She is survived by son, Barry Austin Sr. of Birmingham; stepchildren, Frederick Demings III of Raleigh, N.C., Melvin Demings of River Rouge, Mich., Gerald Demings of Detroit, Mich., and Geraldine D. Fullwood of Columbus, S.C.; sisters, Johnnie M. Jackson of Talladega, Alice White and Marion Frazier of Pell City; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday at the church from 3 until 7 p.m.
Family hour will be held from 5 until 7 p.m.
