Mrs. Sarah Ann Bedford was born on February 10, 1952, to the late Mr. William Sr. and Estella Bedford. Mrs. Bedford was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Mrs. Georgia Collins and Mrs. Lizzie Green; and one brother Mr. Willie E. Bedford. She departed this life on Wednesday, December 1, 2004, in Austell Healthcare in Austell, Georgia.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted son Mr. Manuel E. (Temproll) Bedford of Thorton, Georgia, Companion Ernest W. Flueellen, two grandchildren Jennifer Glaze of Atlanta, Georgia and Steven Oden of Pell City, eight sisters Ernestine (Nate) Montgomery, Lula Johnson, Mary Gilbert, Clara Threatt, Dorothy Bedford, Jimmie Lou (Lesley) Sanders, Monica Wade and Barbara Bedford all of Pell City, five brothers, Rev. Billy Gene Bedford, Joseph Bedford, Jack Bedford, Stanley Bedford all of Pell City and Larry Kelly of Gary, Indiana. Aunts Velma Shepard, Lena (Lewis) Jackson, Sally McGraw. Uncles Paul Bedford, Granat Reynolds, James Reynolds and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 4, 2 p.m. Rocky Zion Baptist Church with burial in adjoining cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, December 3, 2004 - 6 to 9 p.m. Kilgroe Funeral Home.
Officiating: Rev. Willie Joe Posey.

ALBERT DONALD BURKS
FAYETTEVILLE - Funeral service for Albert Donald Burks, 78, will be Saturday, Dec. 4, at 10 a.m. at Fayetteville Methodist Church with the Rev. Chuck Kornegay and the Rev. John Limbaugh officiating. Burial will be in Fayetteville Cemetery.
Mr. Burks died Dec. 2 at Russell Medical Center. He was preceded in death by son, Mark Burks; great-grandson, Dylan Barnett; brothers, Harold and Charles Burks; and sister, Imogene Talton. He was a member of Russell Chapel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was retired from Kimberly Clark, was a native of Talladega County and served in the U.S. Army in World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie Catherine Burks of Fayetteville; daughter, Janice Blair of Fayetteville; son, Kent Burks of Fayetteville; sisters, Betty Sue Sherbert of Fayetteville and Florence Abernathy of Prattville; and brother, Kenton Burks of Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Don Blair, Josh Burks, Lon Edmondson, Edwin Talton, Tim Burks and Chris Elliott.
Honorary pallbearers will be former co-workers at Kimberly Clark.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.

PELL CITY - Funeral service for Fitzhugh Lee Hand Jr., 84, will be Saturday, Dec. 4, at noon at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Ken Jones officiating. Burial will be in Valley Hill Memorial.
Mr. Hand died Dec. 1. He was a member of New Life Assembly of God Church. He was a United States Army Veteran having served with honor in World War II. He was active in the St. Clair County Health Care Authority and the St. Clair County Republican Party. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fitzhugh Lee Hand Sr. and Bessie Buttram Hand; brothers, Kenneth M. Hand and Noel Wayne Hand; and sister, Gladys Bailey.
He is survived by his wife, Cecelia Hand; sons, Donnie Hand of Pell City, Lee (Jane) Hand Elkins of Brooklyn, N.Y.; daughters, Wynay Hand of Snellville, Ga., Charlotte (Bruce) Harris of Phenix City; stepdaughter, Patricia Bratton of Birmingham; eight grandchildren; sisters, Ruth (Charlie) Walker, Ruby Penland, Hazel Sago, Irene (Wes) Becker, Lynda (Ralph) Godfrey, Sherry (Roger) Pate; and brother, Joseph Hand.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon at the funeral home.

GADSDEN - Funeral service for Gunnie G. Jackson, 81, will be Saturday, Dec. 4, at noon at West Gadsden Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Johnny Greggs officiating. Burial will be in Lane Chapel Cemetery
in Talladega.
Mr. Jackson died Nov. 27 in Gadsden. He was born June 10, 1923 in Talladega in the Lane Chapel Community. He moved to Cocoa Beach, Fla., but returned to Talladega in 1991. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Ella Boyd Jackson; sisters, Bernice Jackson and Maggie Tucker; and brother, Steppney Lee Jackson.
He is survived by brother, Ledville Jackson; nieces, Zephrene Jackson and Louise Winborn; nephews, Wayne Johnson of Gadsden, Jerry Jackson of Talladega and the Rev. John Earl Tucker of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and a host of other relatives.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Pope died Nov. 30.

SYLACAUGA - Funeral service for Roger Dale Greer, 38, will be Saturday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North chapel with the Rev. Perry Sims, the Rev. Jimmy Sims and the Rev. Lisa Lataste officiating. Burial will be in Marble City Cemetery.
Mr. Greer died Dec. 2 at Coosa Valley BMC.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Greer of Sylacauga; son, Christopher Blackmon of Dadeville; daughters, Lacey Macoy of Stewartville and Bridgette Harrington of Sylacauga; stepsons, James Buckhannan and Jonathon Buckhannan of Sylacauga; stepdaughter, Crystal Buckhannan of Sylacauga; mother, Fannie Greer of Sylacauga; brothers, Christopher Greer and Tommy Greer of Sylacauga; and one grandchild.

MARY DOT BIRCHFIELD
TALLADEGA - Funeral service for Mary Dot Birchfield, 70, will be Saturday, Dec. 4, at 1 p.m. at Springhill Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Long and the Rev. David Lipscomb officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Birchfield died Dec. 2 at Clay County Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, was a homemaker and a member of Springhill Baptist Church, where she had been a song leader, secretary and treasurer for many years.
She is survived by her husband, John Ray Birchfield of Talladega; son, Hal Ray Birchfield of Jacksonville; brother, John Dalton Morgan of Talladega; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Terry Maples, Fred Craft, Charles Stewart, Bruce Horn, Larry Williams and Harvey Craft.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home until service time.

ALABASTER - Funeral service for Dorothy M. Champion Boyles, 79, will be Sunday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Leeds. Burial will be in Forest Crest Cemetery.
Mrs. Boyles died Dec. 2. She was a loving mother who will be truly missed. She was formerly of the Vandiver area. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Carl Boyles. She was a member of Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Patricia Boyles Beavers of Indian Springs Village, Carene Boyles Bonifay of Vestavia Hills; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
