MATTIE PEARL HOYETT
GOODWATER - Funeral service for Mattie Pearl "Muddear" Hoyett, 76, will be Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Goodwater with the Rev. Melvin Ervin officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hoyett died Nov. 26 at Coosa Valley BMC in Sylacauga. She was born Oct. 8, 1928, in Coosa County. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mrs. LueJettie Whetstone.
She is survived by daughters, Margaret Orr of Goodwater and Morris Ann Kelly of Goodwater; son, Steveson Hoyett of Goodwater; sisters, Estelle Strong of Goodwater and Mary Lou Whetstone-Louis of New Jersey; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives.
Armours Memorial Funeral Home will direct the service.
GLADYS MaLINDA JEFFERSON
SYLACAUGA - Funeral service for Gladys MaLinda Jefferson, 86, was Monday, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m. at Rocky Mount Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Cummings officiating. Burial was in Rocky Mount Cemetery.
Mrs. Jefferson died Nov. 26 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. She was born in Talladega County and lived in Clarksville, Tenn., for the past 45 years and was a Methodist by faith.
She is survived by sons, Robert Jefferson of Terra Haute, Ind., and wife Sharon, Rodney Jefferson of Marietta, Ga., and wife Gail, Ronald Jefferson of Loganville, Ga., and wife Rhue and Randall Jefferson of Clarksville, Tenn.; daughters, Martha Ranson of Woodlawn, Tenn., and Melisa Jefferson of Clarksville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Elbert Presley of Sylacauga; and sisters, Luney Belle Bryant and Alma Stone of Sylacauga.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home South Chapel directed the service.
AUDREY INEZ JOHNSON
PELL CITY - Funeral service for Audrey Inez Johnson, 81, was Monday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel with Brother Bill Golden officiating. Burial was in Asbury Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson died Nov. 27 at Beverly Ingram Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie James Johnson.
She is survived by sister, Winona Beam Golden of Pell City; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends of the family served as pallbearers.
Albertville Memorial Chapel directed the service.
ERNESTINE MACOY LOWE
VINCENT - Funeral service for Ernestine Macoy Lowe, 81, will be Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 2 p.m. at Macedonia North Baptist Church with the Rev. Arzell Hyche and the Rev. Ron Reed officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Lowe died Nov. 28.
She is survived by daughters, Carolyn M. DeLoach (John) and Barbara M. Walden (Earl); brother, James Patterson; sisters, Ruth Buchanan and Betty Jean Johnson; grandchildren, John DeLoach III (Kate) and Lisa DeLoach Barber (Adrian); and great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Michelle Barber and Robert James "Jess" DeLoach.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Macedonia North Baptist Church.

VINCENT Funeral service for Ruth L. Threatt, 87, will be Wednesday, Dec. 1, at noon at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Clarence Carter officiating. Burial will be in Harpersville Cemetery.
Mrs. Threatt died Nov. 26 at her residence. She was a native of Shelby County and was a member of the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, choir member and member of the Missionary Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Threatt; brothers, Cleveland, Jimmie and Welch; sisters, Catherine, Maggie and Maple; daughter, Nadine; stepdaughter, Marjorie; and stepmother, Lillie Fair.
She is survived by daughters, Roxie (Leo) Mallory and Sandra (Tony) Porch of Vincent, Frances (Martin) Dates of Harpersville and Nettie (Warner) Hightower of Birmingham; sons, William T. (Carlene) Threatt of Alabaster, Eddie (Doris) Threatt of Chicago, Ill., Rufus (Sarah) Threatt of Talladega, Terry (Mary) Threatt of Harpersville, Jimmy (Marquree) Threatt of Fayetteville, Ga., Arthur (Altharis) Threatt of Colbert, Ga., Mark (Wanda) Threatt and Larry (Margaret) Threatt of Vincent and Gary (Rena) Threatt of Bessemer; brothers, the Rev. Richard Fair of Harpersville, Willie Fair Jr. of Childersburg and Reuben Fair of Atlanta, Ga.; 51 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

WARNER ROBBINS, Ga. Graveside service for Kimberly Sewell Cotter, 35, formerly of Talladega, will be Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery
with the Rev. Hal Painter and the Rev. Charlie Bolt officiating.
Mrs. Cotter died Nov. 28 at the home of her parents. She was a native of Talladega and lived in Warner Robbins, Ga. She was a homemaker and a graduate of Talladega High School Class of 1987.
She is survived by her husband, Air Force Tech Sgt. Matthew Lee Cotter of Warner Robbins, Ga.; her parents, Charley T. (Jake) and Alice F. Sewell of Talladega and Randall L. and Judith Ann Cotter of Hillview, Ill.; her grandmother, Louise Sewell of Talladega; brother, Michael D. Sewell and his wife Angela C. Sewell of Talladega; and nephew, Michael Patrik Sewell of Talladega.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Barnett, Cory Barnett, George Delisce, Patrick Delisce, Clint Dunigan and William L. Nixon.

SYLACAUGA Funeral service for James Milton Dobbs, 89, will be Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 1 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North chapel with the Rev. Don Graves and Brother Jimmy Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Dobbs died Nov. 29 at Coosa Valley BMC. He was a member of Westview Baptist Church, was a deacon at Westview Baptist Church and retired from Avondale Mills with 51 years of service. He loved fishing and gardening and was a native of Elmore County.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Dobbs of Sylacauga; son, Donnie Guinn and wife Sara of Pell City; daughter-in-law, Glenda Dobbs of Sylacauga; grandchildren, Phillip Guinn of Pell City, Tommy Guinn of Pell City and Steven Dobbs of Sycamore; and sister, Mae Carringan of Dade City, Fla.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Guinn, Tommy Guinn, Steven Dobbs, Norman Dobbs, Donnie Vincent and Jackie Vincent.
Honorary pallbearers will be James M. Dobbs Sunday School Class and deacons of Westview Baptist Church.

SYCAMORE Funeral service for Jerry Lois Murphy Sr., 90, will be Thursday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North chapel with the Rev. Alton Johns officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Murphy died Nov. 30 at Coosa Valley BMC. He was retired from Avondale Mills and was a native of Shelby County.
He is survived by his wife, Mable Murphy of Sycamore; sons, Tommy Wayne Murphy and Jerry Lois Murphy Jr. of Sylacauga and Prentiss Jeffery Murphy of Sycamore; daughters, Jerrell Dean Murphy Bates of Sycamore; Mary Murphy Williams of Sylacauga, Clessie Murphy Fields of Sycamore and Brenda Murphy Rosetti of Conyers, Ga.; 23 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:30 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Wendell Bates, Tracy Bates, Matthew Fields, Jason Fields, Blake Williams and Colby Murphy.

W. CARL TAYLOR
ANNISTON Graveside service for W. Carl Taylor, 83, will be Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 2 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery
with the Rev. Rick Bryant officiating.
Mr. Taylor died Nov. 29 at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. He was born in Sycamore and was a member of Mignon United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and was retired from Avondale Mills with close to 50 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, LaVerne Taylor of Anniston; daughter, Joanna Taylor Jones and husband Hank of Anniston; sister, Agnes Jacobs of Sylacauga; granddaughters, Shannon Andrews, Jennifer Clegg and Susanna Taylor Jones; and great-grandchildren, Brooke Andrews, Davis Andrews and Matthew Clegg.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
