OPHELIA STONE NIX
TALLADEGA - Funeral service for Ophelia Stone Nix, 77, of 910 Washington Avenue, will be Friday, Nov. 12, at 1 p.m. at Holy Faith Temple in Childersburg with Pastor Billie J. Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery.
Mrs. Nix died Nov. 7 at Citizens BMC. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary LeBron Nix; her parents, Robert "Bud" Stone and Leola Chambliss Stone-Hagan; brother, Joe "Babe" Stone; and sister, Lillie Mae Garrett. She attended Westside School and was a former member of Lilly Hill Baptist Church in Talladega, Jesus Saves Ministry in Brooklyn, N.Y., and presently was a member of Holy Faith Temple.
She is survived by her husband, Oscar Nix Jr. of Talladega; son, Joel B. Nix of Talladega; sister, Doris Stone of Talladega; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.
Pallbearers will be Joseph W. Stone, Wiley Lucas Jr., Ricky Robinson, Willie Biggers and John W. Davis.
Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the service.

PELL CITY - Funeral service for Henry J. Busby, 84, will be Friday, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with Brother Don Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery
in Anniston
Mr. Busby died Nov. 10. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Raye Busby; parents, Gaston Busby and Maude Jeanette Biddle; and sister, June Taylor. He attended the First Baptist Church in Pell City, was a World War II veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars.
He is survived by son, Edward J. Busby; daughters, Annette Kilmartin (Bobby) and Virginia "Jenny" Hayes (Steve); grandsons, Paul Kilmartin and Sean and Scott Hayes; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Tanner Hayes and Colman and Carsyn Hayes; sister, Betty Joyce Allen (Robert "Doc") sisters-in-law, Anna Faye Hawkins (Jerry) and Alta Stubert (Wes); brother-in-law, James Kerr (Sue); and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Sean Hayes, Scott Hayes, Taylor Hayes, Paul Kilmartin, Roger Bannister and Michael Bannister.
Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.
EVELYN PROCTOR BUTLER
SYLACAUGA - Funeral service for Evelyn Proctor Butler, 69, will be Friday, Nov. 12, at 1 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Pete Liner officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery
in Ashland.
Mrs. Butler died Nov. 10 in Talladega. She was a native of Sylacauga and loved to sew. Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by a son, Roy Clifton Proctor, and a brother, Samuel Fred Proctor.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty Jean Dieffenbach of Sylacauga; a son, Raymond Proctor Sr. of Sylacauga; a sister, Gloria Jean Brown of Pell City; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 12, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Radney-Smith funeral Home in Sylacauga will direct the service.
JOHN R. CRIM
SYLACAUGA - Funeral service for John R. Crim, 67, will be Friday, Nov. 12, at 11 a.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home chapel in Sylacauga with Brother Clarence Denney officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Crim died Wednesday, Nov. 10, in Sylacauga. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymon and Dorenia Crim. A native of Jefferson County, he attended school in Mulga and then transferred to Ohio and graduated from high school before attending Howard University, which is now Stanford University. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 29 years of service and was a member of the Childersburg Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Crim of Sylacauga; brother, Neil Crim of Westover; and two aunts, Irene Kilpatrick and Virginia Atkinson, both of Birmingham.
The family will receive friends today from 5 to 8 p.m.
Radney-Smith Funeral Home will direct the service.

GOODWATER - David Tyrone Edwards died Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Russell Medical Center in Alexander City.

CHILDERSBURG - Funeral service for Virgil Lewis Fields Sr., 65, will be Friday, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel with the Rev. Donald Grice officiating. Burial will be in Tallassahatchie Cemetery.
Mr. Fields died Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Coosa Valley Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Zora Fields; father, Felton Fields; and daughter, Sheila Butler.
He is survived by his wife, Lena Fields of Childersburg; two sons, Virgil Fields Jr. of Childersburg and Robert Fields and wife Samantha of Talladega; a daughter, Rita Manning and husband Mike of Hollins; one brother, Ralph Fields of Childersburg; eight grandchildren, Alesia Sanders, Tabitha Fields, Farrah Fields, Rachael Butler, Angel Ford, Ashley Thornton, Blake Fields and Brandon Spurgin; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Roger Fields, Roger Lewis, J.W. Sneed, Billy Joe Fields, Robert Fields, Brandon Spurgin and Roy Fields.
Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 11, from 5 until 8 p.m.
