RUBY GRAY DOROUGH
PELL CITY - Funeral service for Ruby Gray Dorough, 86, will be Saturday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Gordon Lee, the Rev. Bill Gray and the Rev. J.D. Wales officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Mrs. Dorough died Nov. 3. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Dorough and daughter, Bobbie Wells.
She is survived by sons, Wade, Charles, Kenneth, Johnny and Randy Dorough; daughters, Jo Ann Wilson, Patsy Ayres, Betty Hollis and Peggy Graham; brother, Turner Gray; sisters, Aurell Haynes, Lois McElroy and Dimple Selby; 25 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.
LEONARD LEE DUNCAN
SYLACAUGA - Graveside service for Leonard Lee Duncan, 73, will be Friday, Nov. 5, at 1 p.m. in Tallasahatchie Cemetery
in Alpine with the Rev. Billy Duncan officiating.
Mr. Duncan died Nov. 3 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair in Birmingham.
He is survived by his mother, Polly Duncan of Sylacauga; daughter, Deborah Mitchell; sisters, Margaret White of Sylacaga and Hannah Stanfield of Fort Myers, Fla.; brother, Franklin Duncan of Opelika two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga will direct the service.
REV. JESSIE LEE GABLE
CHILDERSBURG - Funeral service for the Rev. Jessie Lee Gable, 56, will be Saturday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Bob Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in Tallasahatchie Cemetery
in Alpine.
The Rev. Gable died Nov. 3. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Gable; and his parents, James and Inez Gable.
He is survived by sons, Johnathan Gable and Jerry Wayne Gable of Sylacauga and Jacob Gable of Sylacauga; granddaughter, Kristian Gable of Sylacauga; grandson, Justin Gable of Sylacauga; sisters, Pearl Collins of Sylacauga, Linda Davison of Sylacauga, Louise Riggs of Sycamore, Judy Goniotakis of Sylacauga, Doris Peoples of Childersburg, Sarah Hughes of Hoover and Joyce Griffith of Childersburg; brothers, Frankie Gable of Sylacauga and Tommy Gable of Pell City; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be made in his memory to Faith Hospice, 1263 Talladega Highway, Sylacauga, Ala., 35150.
Pallbearers will be Randy Bennett, Patrick Davison, Jason Gable, Robert Gable, Adam Griffith, Brian Gable, Blois Peoples and Stephen Peoples.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

WILLIAM THOMAS HOLMES
TALLADEGA - Funeral service for William Thomas "Tommy" Holmes, 40, will be Friday, Nov. 5, at 10 a.m. at St. Peters Episcopal Church with Father Bob Blackwell officiating. Burial will be in Laniers Cemetery.
Mr. Holmes died Nov. 3 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, Warren Holmes. He was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County and was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church. He was a former member of the Jaycees of Talladega and served on the board of directors. He was a former director or the Red Door Kitchen of Talladega.
Gen Kent, director of the United Way of North Talladega County, worked with Holmes for some time in his capacity as director of the Red Door Kitchen. "He was a well-rounded man who was willing to do anything to help feed the hungry. That was the love of his life, and he was dedicated to it, even when his health problems meant he didn't really feel like working. He was a real fighter, and he was always able to rise above."
He is survived by his wife, Doris Holmes of Talladega; son, William Lee Holmes of Talladega; his mother, Stella Holmes of Talladega; and sister, Victoria Knobloch of Gulfport, Miss.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Peters Episcopal Church.
Pallbearers will be John Conner, Doug Hill, Jason Wood, Geary Coogler, Geary Coogler Jr., David Yates, Buddy Wesley, Roger Sirrell and Rex Killough.

ALONIA STOCKDALE JOHNSON
TALLADEGA - Funeral service for Alonia Stockdale Johnson, 85, will be Saturday, Nov. 6, at 1 p.m. at Sims Funeral Service chapel with Pastor Samuel Turner officiating. Burial will be in Union Spring Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson died Nov. 1 at Fair Haven Nursing Home in Birmingham. She was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega and a member of Tinney Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Johnson; and daughters, Lois Wilson, Naomi Garrett and Joyce Johnson.
She is survived by sons, Ray Johnson, Andrew Johnson and Anthony Johnson of Chicago, Ill., Johnny Johnson of Birmingham and Thomas Johnson of Talladega; daughters, Annie Mae Howell and Cynthia Miller of Talladega; grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home throughout the service.
Pallbearers will be Marshall White, William White, Christopher White and James Johnson.
Sims Funeral Service will direct the service.
LEWIS R. JUSTICE
COLUMBIANA - Graveside service for Lewis R. Justice, 81, will be Saturday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery
in Sylacauga with the Rev. Weaver Vansant officiating.
Mr. Justice died Nov. 4 at his residence. He was born on Feb. 24, 1923 in Fayetteville. He was retired from Alabama Power-E.C. Gaston.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Eunice F. Justice; daughter, Deborah J. Brasher; brother, Michael S. Justice; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

ALEXANDER CITY - Funeral service for Aley J. Meadows, 93, will be Saturday, Nov. 6, at 1 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. F.A. Lee officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Meadows died Nov. 2.
She is survived by daughters, Susie L. Young and Rachel Jones of Alexander City; sons, James Meadows of Alexander City and Randolph Meadows of Eclectic; and a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and other relatives.

ANNISTON - Funeral service for Geneva Reaves, 85, will be Saturday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Anniston with the Rev. Marlon Greenwood, the Rev. Norris Brooks and the Rev. Jerry Owens officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Reaves died Nov. 4 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a member and lifelong Sunday school teacher at Oak Ridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Reaves.
She is survived by daughters, Donna Johnston and Raffa Blackmon of Anniston; sons, the Rev. Thomas Reaves of Anniston and the Rev. Todd Reaves of Sylacauga; brothers, the Rev. Buck Greenwood of Anniston and the Rev. Bill Greenwood of Jacksonville; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
