GASTER CARTER
SYLACAUGA - Funeral service for Gaster "Belle" Carter, 69, will be Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Sylacauga with the Rev. Bobby L. Harris officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Carter died Thursday, Oct. 7, at her residence.
She retired from Coosa Valley Baptist Medical Center in Sylacauga. At an early age, she confessed Christ and united with the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Childersburg. In later years, she moved her membership to New Hope Baptist Church in Sylacauga. She was a life-long resident of Talladega County.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Carter; mother, Jessie Swain Carter; and sister, Estelle Carter.
She is survived by one son, Edward E. Carter; two sisters, Betty C. Middleton of Harpersville and Evelyn Carter of New York; two brothers, James F. Carter and John H. Carter Jr. of Sylacauga; two grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be nephews and Cedar Creek Community Male Choir. Flower bearers will be friends of the family.
Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Childersburg Mortuary Funeral Home.
Childersburg Mortuary Service will direct the service.

ALPINE - Funeral service for Jewel Edwards, 92, of Alpine will be Monday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m. at Curtis and Son North Chapel in Sylacauga. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery
in Sylacauga.
Mrs. Edwards died Saturday, Oct. 9, at her residence.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Curtis and Son North Chapel.

THOMAS MICHAEL FRICHTER
COVINGTON, LA. - Funeral service for Thomas Michael "Mike" Frichter, 44, will be Tuesday, October 12, at 2 p.m. at Midway Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Willie Gressette officiating. Burial will be in Midway Memory Gardens cemetery.
Mr. Frichter died Wednesday, Oct. 6 at Louisiana Heart Hospital.
He was a native of Covington, La. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Gladys Frichter.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Frichter of Covington, La.; sons, Christopher Harvell and Tony Harvell of Alexander City, and David Frichter of Covington, La.; brother, Billy Hurst; two grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris Harvell, Tony Harvell, Terry Simpson, David Frichter, Timothy Cooper, John Cooper and Pat Cooper.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Reeves and Wesley Simpson.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

BILLIE JEAN HEATH
CHILDERSBURG - Funeral service for Billie Jean Heath, 39, of Childersburg will be Sunday, Oct. 10 at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son North Chapel with Rev. Timothy McNeily officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery.
Mrs. Heath died Thursday, Oct. 7, in Childersburg.
She is survived by two sons, Shane Heath and Daniel Crowder, both of Lincoln; her father, Billy O. Heath of Sylacauga; one brother, John E. Heath of Sylacauga; one sister, Diane Rutherford of Childersburg; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Goings, Wesley Hamilton, Paul Horton, Kevin Pope, Carl Heath and Keith Miller.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.

TALLADEGA - Lavinia Morris, 87, formerly of Talladega, died Saturday, Oct. 9, at her residence in Southport, Fla.

AARON LORENZA DRAPER
TALLADEGA - Funeral service for Aaron Lorenza Draper, 44, of 855 Davis St., will be Saturday, Nov. 6, at 1 p.m. at Community Funeral Home chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Jeffrey D. Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery
in Talladega.
Mr. Draper died Oct. 31 at Beckwood Manor in Anniston. He was a member of Howard Chapel Church, attended Talladega County Training School and was preceded in death by his sister, Roslyn Draper.
He is survived by his parents, Madlyn Draper of Talladega and Norman Draper of Talladega; daughter, Lucretia Benjamin of Talladega; sisters, Shernevelyne Hill of Lincoln, Jaukia Coleman of Columbus, Ohio, Mary Coty of Talladega and Lillie McNeil of Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany; brothers, Marvin Draper, William Draper and Harold Draper of Talladega; and a host of other relatives.
Friends of the family will serve as flowerbearers.
Community Funeral Home will direct the service.
CATHERINE H. COLEMAN
CHILDERSBURG - Funeral service for Catherine H. Coleman, 81, formerly of Birmingham, will be Sunday, Nov. 7, at 3 p.m. at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Coleman died Nov. 5. She was a member of Central Park United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star Chapter 564 in Hoover. She was preceded in death by her son, Murray D. Coleman Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Murray D. Coleman Sr.; daughters, Cathy Sanders and husband Tripp of Birmingham, Debbie Palmer and husband David of Childersburg; four grandchildren, Amy Landers and husband Jim, Russ McKinnon, Kyle Palmer and Clay Palmer; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Jada Sumners.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

PELL CITY - Graveside service for Charlotte Ann Hawkins, 55, will be Monday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. in Oak Ridge Cemetery

Mrs. Hawkins died Nov. 4. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Patterson.
She is survived by son, Kenneth Nock Jr.; daughters, Julie Sarnoff and Gloria Lynn Hawkins; her mother, Elizabeth Patterson; brothers, Harold Patterson and Coy Patterson; sisters, Jan Patterson and Sharon Lacy; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Meadows died Nov. 2.

Mrs. Shoop died Nov. 5.
She is survived by sons, Charles Shoop and Jimmy Shoop; brother, Gene Champion; sisters, Helen Hartsfield and Verna May Guy; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

TALLADEGA - Funeral service for Inez Hardy Smiley, 93, of 514 Adams Ave., will be Saturday, Nov. 6, at 1 p.m. at Peace Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert L. Duncan and the Rev. Gilbert Hardy officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery.
Mrs. Smiley died Oct. 31 at Citizens BMC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hosea Smiley; two sons, James W. Smiley and Charles Smiley; her parents, Jim Hardy and Tiller Smoot Smiley Hardy; and two stepdaughters, Nellie Hortense Smiley Braxton and Annie Mae Smiley Castleberry. She was a member of Peace Baptist Church where she was a member of the Pastor's Aid Club and the Mother's Ministry. She was a member of the Ethel Chapter No. 75 of the Order of Eastern Stars.
She is survived by daughters-in-law, Pauline F. Smiley and Mary Ann P. Smiley of Talladega; stepson, Bennie Terry of Chicago, Ill.; sisters, Lessie Talley of Detroit, Mich., and Mary Chelsey of Atlanta, Ga.; 32 grandchildren; 87 great-grandchildren; 62 great-great-grandchildren; three great-great-great-grandchildren; and primary caregiver, Henrietta S. Lawler of Talladega.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.
Pallbearers will be Terrance Lawler, Rodney Lawler, Paul E. Smiley, Donald A. Smiley, James W. Smiley II and Tyrell Smiley.

SHIRLEY ANN TANKERSLEY WRIGHT
GOODWATER - Funeral service for Shirley Ann Tankersley Wright, 60, will be Saturday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. at New Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Young and the Rev. Bill Brown officiating.
Mrs. Wright died Nov. 5 at her residence. She was born on Sept. 1, 1944 to Jay Nolen Tankersley and Mable Lee Jones Tankersley. She was a homemaker and sold Avon to many people. She was a member of Kellyton Revival Center. She loved to sing, play the piano and enjoyed going and walking on the beach. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Joey Wright; and brother, Charles Tankersley.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Bobby Lee Wright of Goodwater; son, Bobby O'Neal Wright of Goodwater; daughter, Sherry Ann Bagley of Goodwater; two grandsons; two granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; sisters, Velma Guy of Alexander City, Sara Mask of Alexander City and Brenda Chandler of Kellyton; and brother, Billy Wayne Tankersley of Alexander City.
The body may be viewed at the church for one our before the service.
Flowers will be accepted or the family requests that contributions be made toward the funeral expense.
