SYLACAUGA - Funeral service for Sybil J. Pridgen, 75, will be Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Jimmy Dale Abrams officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery
in Sylacauga.
Mrs. Pridgen died Oct. 10 in Sylacauga. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lewey Greer and Billy Greer; and her nephew, Tommy Greer. "My wife, my friend, my mentor, my love and my life. Pridge."
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Collis Pridgen of Sylacauga; dear friends, Alice Thomas of Sylacauga, Pete Abrams of Sylacauga and Gene Abrams of Sylacauga; nieces, Jane Hawthorne of Hartford, Becky Zorn of Hartford, Margie Edmondson of Wicksburg, Mary Willford of Slocomb, Patsy Edmondson of Wicksburg and Peggy Ellenburg of Wicksburg; nephews, Dale Pridgen of Birmingham, Tony Williams of Geneva and Tracy Williams of Geneva.
Pallbearers will be Neil Thompson, Randall Thompson, Cooper Thomas, Tommy Abrams, Timmy Abrams and Tony Abrams.
Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga will direct the service.
BRAXTON RICH
LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Graveside service for Braxton "Papa" Rich, 62, will be Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City.
Mr. Rich died Oct. 4. He was born Feb. 19, 1942, in Childersburg and lived in Las Vegas for 27 years. He was a retired electrician and served in the U.S. Air Force in his early years. He was preceded in death by his father, William "Bud" Rich; his mother, Almetta Owens Rich; in-laws, Frank and Josephine Loyd; brother, William "Buddy" Rich; and sister, Mary Winslett.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Maureen Rich of Las Vegas, Nev.; sons, Braxton "Ray" Rich and Mike Rich of Las Vegas, Nev.; four grandchildren; sisters, Betty and Phyllis; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nathan Adelson Foundation, 4141 Swenson St., Las Vegas, Nev., 89119.
Sunrise Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of the arrangements.

CHULA VISTA - Funeral service for H. Wayne Spencer, 78, will be Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. at Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City with the Rev. Paul Williams officiating.
Mr. Spencer died Oct. 9 at South Health Rehab in Birmingham.
He is survived by his wife, Marian Spencer; sons, Noel (Janet) Spencer of Ohatchee, Ronald (Pam) Spencer of Ohatchee and Thomas (Sandy) Spencer of Chula Vista; brothers, Scott Spencer of Weirton, W.V., and Bob Spencer of Weirton, W.V.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

SYLACAUGA - Graveside service for infant Kennedi Sage Threatt will be Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery
with the Rev. William T. Threatt officiating.
The infant died Oct. 8 at St. Vincents Hospital in Birmingham.
She is survived by her mother, Katrice Threatt of Sylacauga; grandparents, Billy and Arletha Threatt of Sylacauga; and two aunts.

RUFUS WIDEMAN
McALLEN, Texas - Rufus Wideman, 79, formerly of Sylacauga, died Oct. 11 in McAllen.

OPHELIA MANN DATES
CHILDERSBURG - Funeral service for Ophelia Mann Dates, 91, will be Thursday, Oct. 14, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Harpersville with the Rev. Clarence Carter officiating. Burial will be in Harpersville Cemetery.
Mrs. Dates died Oct. 8 at her residence. She was a retired housekeeper and for many years she volunteered to prepare and serve lunch for seniors, along with visiting and sitting with the sick and shut-ins until her health failed. At an early age she joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board and was a member of the senior choir. She was a member of the Cheerful Givers Society of Childersburg.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Dates; daughters, Emm Carr of New Castle, Ind., Alice Mae Burton of Cleveland, Ohio, Jessie Lee Moore of Birmingham and Carolyn Dates of Childersburg; sister, Emma M. Malone of Alabaster; 12 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Friends of the family will serve as flowerbearers.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 until 6 p.m. and at the church one hour before the service.
Childersburg Mortuary Service will direct the service.
CAROLYN JANE CAMPBELL
WATTSVILLE - Funeral service for Carolyn Jane Campbell, 63, will be Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 4 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Wayne G. Brewer officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Campbell died Oct. 11 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Campbell.
She is survived by daughter, Sue Campbell Phillips of Wattsville; son, Marvin Campbell (Rena) of Wattsville; sister, Vicky L. Tollison of Wattsville; brother, Denny Endfinger of Pell City; grandchildren, Eric Milton Phillips Jr., Angela Marie Phillips, Randy Thomas Campbell, Jason Ray Campbell and John Wesley Campbell.
Pallbearers will be the Rev. Wayne G. Brewer, Jeff Chapman, Larry Tollison, Larry Burnham, Paul Holmes and Derrick Campbell.

ASHLAND - Funeral service for Willie Francis “Sis” Hart, 81, will be Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Ashland with the Rev. David Holmes officiating. Burial will be in Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Hart died Oct. 11 at Clay County Nursing Home. She was born in Clay County, was a former resident of New Mexico and Colorado and moved back to Clay County in 1968. She was a graduate of Clay County High School. She was a former owner of the Piggly Wiggly in Lineville, the Clay Court Motel in Ashland and was retired from the Clay County Nursing Home as their activities director. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ashland and was known for her musical and singing abilities. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Hart.
She is survived by son, Stephen Hart of Yulee, Fla.; brother, Paul Levie of Ashland; one grandson; several nieces; one nephew; and great-nieces and nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home until service time.

TALLADEGA - Funeral service for Richard Reindl, 69, will be Thursday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. at the Church of God of Prophecy in Sterrett. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Reindl died Oct. 12.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Stokes Reindl; sister, Helen Isell; stepchildren, Todd Hollis, Patrick Hollis and Leah Hollis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The body may be viewed at the church from 10 a.m. until service time.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

VINCENT - Funeral service for Hassie Southern Sims, 91, will be Thursday, Oct. 14, at 2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with Brother Ron Reed officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia North Cemetery.
Mrs. Sims died Oct. 12.
She is survived by son, John H. Sims; daughter, Sonja Taylor; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward Southern and Gordon Southern; sisters, Eva Smith, Dorothy Whitten, Edna Fleming and Thelma Gilliland; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

ETHEL HUMPHRIES SNOW
LINEVILLE - Funeral service for Ethel Humphries Snow, 90, will be Thursday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. at Benefield Funeral Home chapel in Lineville with the Rev. Jerry Colquett officiating. Burial will be in Lineville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Snow died Oct. 11 at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was a native of Randolph County but moved to Lineville in 1920. She had been a dental assistant for a number of years and was a homemaker. She was a 1932 graduate of Lineville High School and was a member of the Friendly Sunday School Class and Lineville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Snow; and one daughter, Sandra Little.
She is survived by son, Mickey Snow of Auburn; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Challenge to Build Fund at Lineville Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Don Hogan, Alan Flowers, Jerry Alexander, Ronald Robertson, Mark Griffin and Kenny Cleveland.
Honorary pallbearers will be Perry Welch and the Friendly Sunday School Class of Lineville Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday and until service time Thursday.

RUFUS J. WIDEMAN
McALLEN, Texas - Graveside service for Rufus J. Wideman, 79, will be Friday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery
with the Rev. Mike Flanagan officiating,
Mr. Wideman died Oct. 11 at McAllen Heart Hospital. He was born in Sylacauga and moved to Pharr, Texas 48 years ago. He was the owner of D&M Cleaners in Pharr for many years then he went to work at the Texas Deparment of Agriculture from which he took his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pharr, during the time he lived in the Rio Grande Valley.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Wideman of McAllen; daughters, Rebecca Jane Clark and husband Eddie of Dallas, Texas, Lee Ann Rosenberry and husband Keith of McAllen and Brenda Kay Pugh and husband Ray of Jakarta, Indonesia; grandchildren, William Shane Turner, Thomas Austin Clark, Christopher Cody Clark, Ashley Tara Pugh, Adam Tyler Pugh and April Marie Rosenberry; great-grandchild, Tyler Austin Clark of Atlanta, Ga.; and sister, Vera Wideman Thomas of Goodwater.
