LEE NORMAN ATKINSON
SYLACAUGA - Funeral service for Lee Norman Atkinson, 77, will be Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North chapel with Walter Morris officiating. Burial will be in Weogufka Methodist Cemetery.
Mr. Atkinson died Oct. 11 at Coosa Valley BMC. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather of 57 years. He was a veteran of the
Korean War, was a native of Weogufka and was retired from Flav-O-Rich with 43 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, Jeff Atkinson; his mother, Nellie Atkinson; and two sisters, Mildred Atkinson Brewer and Evelyn Atkinson Phillips.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Atkinson of Sylacauga; son, Steve Lee Atkinson and wife Debbie of Sylacauga; daughter, Linda K. Brooks of Sylacauga; grandchildren, Chad Matheson and wife Cherry, Will Atkinson and Matt Atkinson and wife Dawn; and great-grandchildren, Paige Matheson, Savannah Atkinson, Olivia Atkinson, Will Atkinson, Lily Atkinson and Mallory Atkinson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be William Atkinson, Brownie Morris, Bill Morgan and Lonzo Armstrong.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.

SYLACAUGA - Funeral service for Hubert Harold Deputy, 92, will be Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Nathan Duncan officiating.
Mr. Deputy died Oct. 9 in Sylacauga. He lived in Washington State until 1995 when he moved to Sylacauga with his daughter, Kay Wood. He was a Methodist by faith and was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Altha Deputy; and a daughter, Alberta Marie Reese.
He is survived by daughter, Kay Wood of Sylacauga; son, Ralph Emory Deputy of Lakeland, Colo.; sister, Louee Lightfoot of Lafayette, La.; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 6th Floor, New York, N.Y., 10001 or to a favorite charity.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

JEWEL LEE EDWARDS
ALPINE - Funeral service for Jewel Lee Edwards, 91, was Monday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North chapel with the Rev. David Lawrence officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Edwards died Oct. 9 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Marion Edwards; daughter, Barbara Ann Morrow; brothers, Lacy McGrady and Jack D. McGrady; and sisters, Mabel McGrady and Mollie Kissic. She was a native of Jemison and was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.
She is survived by granddaughters, Meredith Ashley Morrow and Natalie M’Elise Morrow of Fairhope; and sisters, Ressie Edwards of Alpine and Faye Finn of Sylacauga.
Pallbearers were Robert Edwards, James Leroy Edwards, Jerry Knox, Matthew Chappell, Ray Stinson, Billy Wayne Carter and William Morrow.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel directed the service.

VANDIVER - Funeral service for Jason Eric Henderson, 28, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with Mary Herring officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Henderson died Oct. 9. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugene and Garnet Miller and Perry and Velma Henderson.
He is survived by his parents, Judith and Toney Coulter and Raymond and Bridget Henderson; sons, Ethan Tyler and Brennan Chase Henderson; sister, Christine (Wayne) Gillen; stepsister, Rita Welp; brothers, Raymond Jr. and Jeremy Henderson; nieces, Missie Gillen, Crystal Henderson and Hallee Welp; and nephew, Cody Gillen.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

RAGLAND - Funeral service for Jeannie M. Lee, 50, will be Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 2 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with Brother Ray Speakman officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Mrs. Lee died Oct. 10 in Pell City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vickie Robin Lee; and her mother, Agnes Alverson.
She is survived by sons, Jonathan Gowers of Pell City and Casey Lee of Pell City; her father, J.T. Alverson of Pell City; sisters, Joyce Vest of Childersburg, Marie Peoples of Ragland and Neva Alverson of Pell City; brothers, Bubba Alverson of Pell City and Johnny Rowe of Pell City; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

O.J. MACOY
LINEVILLE - Funeral service for O.J. Macoy, 91, will be Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home chapel in Lineville with the Rev. Raymond Long officiating. Burial will be in Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mr. Macoy died Oct. 9 at Clay County Nursing Home in Ashland. He was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army, was a farmer and a Baptist by faith.
He is survived by sister, Vernice Roberson of Talladega; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jack Macoy, Donnie Walker, Fred Reddish, Mickey Flowers, David Macoy and Marvin McVey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Clay County Rescue Squad.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home until service time.

TALLADEGA - Funeral service for Lavinia W. Morris, 87, will be Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 3 p.m. at Cherry Street Church of God with the Rev. Charlie Bolt, the Rev. W.H. Ford and Lynne Eldridge officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Morris died Oct. 9 in South Port, Fla. She was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County, was retired from Wehadkee Yarn Mills and was a member of Cherry Street Church of God.
She is survived by daughter, Wanda Tumlin of Panama City, Fla.; son, Clarence Edwin Morris of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; sisters, Florence Heath, Ethel Heath and Mary Scott of Talladega; brother, Wren Waites of Talladega; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Needham, Craig Canada, Rick Morris, Ronald Morris, Brandon Todd and Zack Todd.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.
