MARY ANNETTE PEARSON
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Mary Annette Pearson, 65, will be Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 3:30 p.m. at Marble City Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Reaves officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery
in Sylacauga.
Mrs. Pearson died Oct. 3 in Sylacauga. She was a member of Marble City Baptist Church and retired from the Department of Human Resources, State of Alabama, with more than 30 years of service. She then taught at Marble City Baptist Church for six years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mamie Sasser; and her sister, Lil Davis.
She is survived by daughter, Kristy Harmon and husband Mike Harmon Jr. of Weogufka; sons, Kent Pearson of Sylacauga and Mike Pearson and wife Jeana of Sylacauga; granddaughters, April Clifton and husband Brian of Wetumpka, Rachael Johnson and husband Bubba of Sylacauga, Shelly Harmon of Weogufka, Kacy Harmon of Weogufka, Ally Harmon of Weogufka and Jessica Tyler of Sylacauga; grandsons, Chad Pearson of Sylacauga and Zach Pearson of Sylacauga; and great-grandchildren, Seth Clifton, C.J. Clifton and Anna Grace Fields.
Pallbearers will be Bubba Johnson, Brian Clifton, Chad Pearson, Terry Sasser, Dan Thompson and Harold Brooks.
Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga will direct the service.
LAVORA MAE REYNOLDS
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Lavora Mae Reynolds, 74, will be Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Mahlon Felkins officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery
in Sylacauga.
Mrs. Reynolds died Oct. 3 in Talladega Springs. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Eunice J. Reynolds and Clifford Dewight Green. She was a member of Kelly Ingram Veteran’s Women’s Auxiliary, the Eastern Star, AARP, NAMI and was a board member of NAMI.
She is survived by daughter, Linda G. Brewer and husband David of Birmingham; brother, Morris L. Shaw and wife Anne of Talladega Springs; sister, Edna S. Robinson and husband Byron Joe of Sylacauga; and granddaughter, Anna Kathleen Brewer of Birmingham.
Pallbearers will be Morris Shaw Jr., Mark Shaw, Scott Green, Arnold Shaw Jr., Brantley Shaw and Tyler Shaw.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Green and Billy Ray Robinson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

HOWARD L. ALLISON
SANFORD, Fla. — Funeral service for Howard Lawrence “Larry” Allison, 70, was Monday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m. at the Henry Chapel of the First Baptist Church of Orlando, Fla. There will also be a graveside service Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery
in Sylacauga.
Mr. Allison died Sept. 29 in Sanford, Fla. He was born in Sylacauga on Nov. 17, 1933. He was a pilot, a speaker and a Sunday school teacher of 7-year-olds at First Baptist Church of Orlando. After surviving polio at the age of 11, he was a graduate of Howard College in Birmingham and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. He worked in Nashville, Tenn., for the Baptist Sunday School Board and then made a move to Washington, D.C., and worked for the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board from which he retired in 1995. Larry loved the wonderful, warm weather of Central Florida. He built a universal user home in Lake Forest where he spent his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Orlando, of EEA unit 74 and the Omni Toastmasters.
He is survived by his mother, Frances Allison of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Gloria Allison of Orlando; brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Helen Allison of Fairhope; nephews, David and Neal Allison; and many other family members and a large host of friends.
Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga and Gramkow Funeral Home are in charge of the services.
DORIS C. BARNETT
LINCOLN — Graveside service for Doris C. Barnett, 75, will be Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery
in Sylacauga with the Rev. Harold Hazel officiating.
Mrs. Barnett died Oct. 3 at St. Clair Regional Hospital in Pell City. She was a native of Sylacauga, lived in Lincoln for the past two years and was a Baptist by faith. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Connie Brooks of Dothan, Anthony and Treasure Barnett of Lincoln and Terry and Vicky Barnett of Sylacauga; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home at 11 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Blakely, Kevin Barnett, Frank Turner and David Johns Jr.

RUBY ALMA WALLACE BAXLEY
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Ruby Alma Wallace Baxley, 92, will be Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 3 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North chapel with Donnie Blackmon officiating. Burial will be in Fayetteville Methodist Cemetery.
Mrs. Baxley died Oct. 3 at Coosa Valley Nursing Home in Sylacauga. She was a lifelong resident of Talladega County and was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was loved and respected by all of those she came in contact with. She was a homemaker and an avid quilter. She was a Holiness by faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Thomas Baxley; son, James Felix Baxley; her parents, L.P. Bud Wallace; and sisters, Georgia Mae Wallace and Onie Willis.
She is survived by son, Thomas Claude Baxley and wife Brenda of Childersburg; daughters, Shirley Cleckler and husband Bill of Birmingham and Helen Franklin of Sylacauga; daughter-in-law, Sue Baxley of Sylacauga; sisters, Margie Moon of Sylacauga and Evelyn Roberson of Talladega Springs; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Ragsdale, Tim Roberson, Carey Roberson, Gene Wallace, Charlie Gamble and Michael Ricks.

GWENDOLYN COLLINS
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Gwendolyn “Faye” Collins, 59, will be Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Paul Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery
in Coosa County.
Mrs. Collins died Oct. 3 at Wetumpka Nursing Facility. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Elsie Barrett; and her sister, Mable Colquitt. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She was in and out of hospitals and nursing homes for the last two years. She had many friends there who loved her. She was a wonderful mother and friend. She loved animals very much. Her grandkids worshipped her. She was the strongest person you ever saw. Even though she was sick for a long time, she never lost her sense of humor.
She is survived by son, Jeff Collins of Sylacauga; daughter, Donna Bowden of Sylacauga; and grandchildren, Ryan Collins, Trevor Morrison and Jacob Collins.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Waites, Jamie Steverson, Kenny Turner Jr., Jason Rayfield, Darren Hughes, Drew Barrett, Ray Waites and Jim Turner.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

ALPINE — Funeral service for Annie Mae Garrett Curry, 85, of 11379 Renfroe Road, will be Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. George Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Curry died Sept. 29 at Citizens BMC. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.V. Curry; a daughter, Maggie Monterra; a son, John Curry; her parents, Kemt Garrett and Rosie King Garrett; four sisters; and four brothers. She was a lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Fannie Mae Curry and Jessie Armbrester of Alpine; sons, Ernie Curry of Buffalo, N.Y., and Bennie Ray Curry and Lester Curry of Alpine; 34 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

WILLIAM FRANK DAVIS SR.
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for William Frank (Bill) Davis Sr., 86, will be Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel in Talladega with the Rev. Hugh Kelso officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Davis died Oct. 2 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega, was retired from Wehadkee Yarn Mills in Talladega and was a charter member of Southwood Presbyterian Church in Talladega where he served as an elder. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of the V.F.W.
He is survived by his wife, Hester G. Davis of Talladega; daughter, Betty D. Webster of Talladega; sister, Annice D. Gurley of Talladega; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Donations may be made to Southwood Presbyterian Church in Talladega.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy L. Lipham, Michael E. Gurley, Milton Thomas, Charles Ball Jr., Jack Bowden and Scotty Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Southwood Presbyterian Church, Jerry Huffstutler, Joseph Davis, Henry Sims, Carlton Highfield, Dr. David Roberts, Amos Hill, Bobby Buckner and Jim Scott.
