LIZZIE ANN BEDFORD GREEN
VINCENT — Funeral service for Lizzie Ann Bedford Green, 48, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Cropwell, with the Rev. W.J. Posey officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Zion Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Green died Jan. 31 at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother.
She is survived by her husband, Thurmond Green of Vincent; one daughter, Jimmie Lou Sanders of Pell City; eight sisters, Earnestine Montgomery, Lula Johnson, Monica Wade, Mary Gilbert, Clara Threatt, Dorothy Bedford and Barbara Bedford of Pell City and Sarah Bedford of Thornton, Ga.; five brothers, the Rev. Billy Gene Bedford, Joseph Bedford, Jack Bedford and Stanley Bedford of Pell City and Larry Kelley of Gary, Ind.; four aunts; four uncles; five grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Bedford, Eugene Bedford, Michael Bedford, Milton Fomby, Victor Bedford, Eddie Jackson, Willie Jackson and Willie Bedford.
Sims Funeral Service will direct the service.
TOWNES THOMAS
LINEVILLE — Funeral service for Townes (Tom) Thomas, 93, of 40 Big Oak Road, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Michael Strong and the Rev. Curtis Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Lineville Community Cemetery.
Mr. Thomas died Feb. 3 at his residence. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, where he served as a trustee, steward and member of the Men's Club of the church. He was retired from ABC Railroad with 48 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Boyd Thomas; his parents, Jeff Johnson and Dee Seymore Johnson; a son, Calvester Johnson; two sisters, Vinnie Hearn and Jessie Lindsey; and a brother, Frazier Johnson.
He is survived by two sons, Charlie Lewis Johnson of Ford Heights, Ill., and Beotis Johnson of Lineville; one brother, Jack Johnson of Pittsburgh, Pa.; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.
Stewards of the Men's Club will serve as pallbearers.
Friends of the family will serve as flowerbearers.
Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the service.

CHILDERSBURG — Wayne Baker, 51, died Feb. 7 at his residence.

ALMA McLAIN BREEDLOVE
MOBILE — Graveside service for Alma McLain Breedlove will be Saturday at 3 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery
with the Rev. Frank Thompson officiating.
Mrs. Breedlove died Feb. 1. She was a native of Tallapoosa County and had lived in Mobile for 50 years. She was a member of Dauphinway Baptist Church in Mobile, was a registered nurse, working as a county health nurse in Limestone County and Mobile Infirmary and private duty nurse in Mobile.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Catherine Barker of St. Louis, Mo., Ann Kennedy and John Breedlove of Mobile.
The family will receive friends Saturday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.
ELLIS REX BURDICK
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Ellis Rex Burdick, 79, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg chapel with the Rev. John Verciglio officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Burdick died Feb. 6 at his residence. He served in the U.S. Navy, was a veteran of World War II and was retired from Kimberly Clark.
He is survived by his wife, Jewel Burdick of Sylacauga; four sons, Robert Burdick and Ronald Burdick of Childersburg, Terry Burdick and David Burdick of Sylacauga; two daughters, Glenda Cox of Irondale and Pam Looney of Sylacauga; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert W. Burdick, Michael D. Cox, Joe Hopkins Jr., Fred Williams Jr., Kenneth Poe and Buck Conville.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel will direct the service.

Mr. Burns died Feb. 2 at Mary Scott Nursing Home in Dayton, Ohio.

LINCOLN — Funeral service for Dixie M. Dulaney, 89, will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Penny Drummonds and the Rev. Brent Page officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Dulaney died Feb. 6. She was a native of Calhoun County, was a member of Sulfur Springs Baptist Church and had lived in Lincoln most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. Dulaney; and a son, L.D. Dulaney Jr.
She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Phillips of Lincoln; one son, Charles E. Dulaney of Lincoln; one sister, Mary Childers of Anniston; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Harley Moore, Doyle (Butter) Moore, Marvin Williams, Horace Childers, Calvin Moore and Jimmy Fox.
Usrey Funeral Home will direct the service.
KATHERINE ROWLAND HATCHER
LYNCHBURG, Va. — Graveside service for Katherine Rowland Hatcher, 62, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Childersburg Cemetery.
Mrs. Hatcher died Feb. 6 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was a native of Childersburg and was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Graham Rowland and Ruby Jewel Smith Rowland. She attended the University of Alabama, Auburn University and the College of William and Mary and received a masters of education from the University of Virginia. She was a retired librarian with both Lynchburg Public and Bedford County schools. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, served as a librarian, Sunday school teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher and youth group advisor. She was a member of AAUW and the James River Chapter of D.A.R.
She is survived by her husband, R.L. (Pete) Hatcher Jr.; two sons, Raymond L. Hatcher III and wife Holly Bishop Hatcher of Midland and Graham Rowland Hatcher and wife Anne Coffee Hatcher of Lynchburg; one daughter, Julie Hatcher Brammer and husband James H. Brammer III of Lynchburg; two brothers, Francis Graham Rowland Jr. of Childersburg and Hugh Phillip Rowland of Birmingham; six grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth Hatcher, Matthew Robert Harcher, Katherine Graham Brammer, Charles Callaway Moss, James H. Brammer IV and Roland Lewis Hatcher; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

LA HABRA, Calif. — Funeral service for Carson L. Jones, 83, was Jan. 7 at Rose Hill Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Whittier, Calif.
Mr. Jones died Jan. 1. He was a native of Talladega and served in World War II. He married Estelle Arnold and moved to California in 1950.
He is survived by his wife, Estelle Arnold Jones of La Habra, Calif.; one daughter, Dianne McNerney of Alta Loma, Calif.; one sister, Vivian Mann of Talladega; three grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
