NORA LEE TUCK

TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Nora Lee Tuck, 69, of 3748 Plant Road, will be Friday, June 18, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Cleveland Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Jones officiating. Burial will be in Meadows Cemetery.

Mrs. Tuck died June 12 at Citizens BMC. She was preceded in death by her husband, William D.C. Tuck Sr.; her parents, Henry Ruck and Hannah Reynolds Meadows; and a sister, Catherine Meadows. She attended Barclay School and Nottingham Junior High School. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Cleveland Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the kitchen committee and was a member of the Mother Board.

She is survived by daughters, Louise Hawkins, Ida Tuck and Hannah Woods of Talladega; son, William D.C. Tuck Jr. of Talladega; adopted son, Samuel Woods of Tuskegee; sisters, Jimmie Meadows, Bessie Bickley, Willie A. Meadows, Mae Lois Meadows, Mae Lou Duncan and Alene Meadows of Talladega; brothers, William Meadows, George Meadows and Warren Turner of Talladega; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the service.

LOUIE I. WEEKS

SYCAMORE — Louie I. Weeks, 73, died June 15 in Sycamore.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lewis, and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Weeks of Sycamore; brothers, William M. Weeks of Clearwater, Fla., and John M. Weeks of Clearwater, Fla.; sister, Mildred Ceraolo of Infernese, Fla.; two stepsons; four stepdaughters; 12 stepgrandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Eastside Baptist Church in his honor.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga will direct the service.

SHARPE GASTON

ANNISTON — Sharpe Gaston, 92, died June 16.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Anniston Funeral Service.

SARAH MITCHELL McKAY

LINEVILLE — Funeral service for Sarah Mitchell McKay, 89, will be Friday, June 18, at 11 a.m. at Benefield Funeral Home chapel in Ashland with the Rev. Chris Bain officiating. Burial will be in Lineville City Cemetery.

Mrs. McKay died June 16 at Clay County Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, was a homemaker and a graduate of State Secondary Agricultural School. She was a retired dispatcher from the Lineville Police Department after 17 years of service and was a member of New Fellowship Baptist Church.

She is survived by son, Mitchell McKay of Jacksonville; sister, Carrie Mitchell Ashworth of Talladega; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John McKay, Allen McCreless, Dennis East, Britt Shropshire, Joe Hendrix, Don Hendrix, Steve Hendrix, Tommy Mitchell and Terry Hendrix.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday and until service time Friday.

Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland will direct the service.

MICHAEL PYZIA

PELL CITY — Memorial service for Michael "Nick" Pyzia, 48, will be Friday, June 18, at noon at 315 Marshall Lane in Pell City with Father Matthew Brennan officiating.

Mr. Pyzia died June 14. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Jane Pyzia.

He is survived by his wife, Cherel "Cookie" Pyzia; daughters, Natanya Pyzia, Melissa Pyzia, Soncearrae Landa and Yolanda Vargas; sons, Casey Pyzia and Tony Vargas; sisters, Marie (Louis) Hosek, Vickie Atkins, Tammy Redemski, Misty Saint, Roe Roe, Mary Jane Hardel, Pasty and Beradine; brothers, Jimmy Fisher and Chip Snyder; seven grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.

LESTER ROSEMAN

LINCOLN — Lester "Jack" Roseman, 88, died June 15 in Lincoln.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Sims Funeral Service.

WILLIAM WHETSTONE

KELLYTON — Funeral service for William Whetstone, 59, will be Thursday, June 17, at 3 p.m. at Central High School auditorium in Hanover with the Rev. Eddie J. Jennings officiating. Burial will be in New Elam Cemetery.

Mr. Whetstone died June 12 at his residence.

He is survived by sons, Franklin Newell of Van Nuys, Calif., and Terrance Whetstone of Kellyton, daughters, Eureka Moon and Claudette Sloan of Kellyton; his father, Artis Whetstone of Kellyton; sister, Mary L. Whetstone of Huntsville; brothers, Richard Whetstone of Alexandria, Va., Johnny Whetstone of Danville, Ill., Charles Whetstone of Alexander City, Tommy Whetstone of Birmingham and Donald Ray Whetstone of Kellyton; six grandchildren; two aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Wright's Funeral Home will direct the service.

WILLIE HENRY CHAPMAN

CHICAGO, Ill. — Funeral service for Willie Henry Chapman, 64, will be Saturday, June 19, at 10 a.m. at Africa Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor W.T. Threatt, the Rev. Hardy Reynolds Jr., the Rev. Joseph Rowser and the Rev. Bobby Welch officiating. Burial will be in the Chapman Cemetery.

Mr. Chapman died June 9 in Chicago. He was a native of Talladega, was a graduate of R.R. Moton High School and was a member of the Greater Open Door Baptist Church in Chicago. He was a retired welder from International Harvester. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lesley; brother, Jenkins Jr.; and his parents, Jenkins and Lillian Chapman.

He is survived by his wife, Cornelia S. Chapman of Chicago; sons, Derrick (Vivian) Chapman of Childersburg and Prince D. Chapman of Chicago; daughters, Lorraine Chapman of Chicago and Nickalaya Chapman of Hattiesburg, Miss.; sisters, Carrie (Joe) Hunley and Elizabeth C. Trask, all of Talladega; brothers, Charlie L. (Vera) Chapman of Oxford, Julius Chapman of Chicago and George E. Chapman and Jerome (Mary Ann) Chapman, all of Talladega; grandchildren, K'neisha A. Dean, Ashley N. Carswell, Kamari J. Herndon, Shanquala L. Curry, Denitra D. Curry, Ashley N. Cook and Octavius; great-grandchild, Ja'Marcus D. Curry; and mother-in-law, Rosie Swain of Alpine.

Pallbearers will be Julius Chapman, Derrick Chapman, Prince Chapman, Jerry Boone, Richard Trask Jr. and Charles Chapman.

Madden's Funeral Service will direct the service.

JACKIE FAYE IRVIN

CULLMAN — Funeral service for Jackie Faye Irvin, 67, will be Sunday, June 20, at 3 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel with Minister Larry Haywood officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Baptist Cemetery.

A native of Talladega, Mrs. Irvin was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Irvin; son, Billy Irvin; and grandson, Ricky Hudgel.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Crider of Cullman and Kandi Duke of Mississippi; sons, Robert and Frankie Irvin of Cullman and Ray Cobb of Denson; brother, Jim Mitchell of Atlanta; sisters, Lottie Hudson of Bessemer and Opal Bellman of Ohatchee; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and special friend, Dale Pierce.

Pallbearers will be Randy Smith, Derrick Ferrell, Walter Graham, Robert Taylor, Bobby Dale Pritchard, Jeff Pritchard and Lonnie Reeves.

Grandsons will be honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home.

Usrey Funeral Home will direct the service.

CALLIE MAE WINDHAM EDGEWORTH BAILEY

RANBURNE — Funeral service for Callie Mae Windham Edgeworth Bailey, 86, of Ranburne will be Sunday, June 20, at 3:30 at Hargrove United Methodist Church with the Rev. T. J. Morgan and Rev. Lindbergh Sudduth officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Bailey died Thursday, June 17, at the Cleburne County Nursing Home.

She was born in 1918 in the Moores Bridge Community in Tuscaloosa County to the late Sisro Samuel Lawrence Windham and Mattie Elizabeth Hardy Windham.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Childersburg, a member of Chinnabee-Ft. Strothers Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and the Sylacauga Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years.

Having made her home in Cleburne County for the past 10 years, she was a homemaker and former resident of Pickens County.

She was preceded in death by husbands Jesse Lee Edgeworth and Stephen Bailey; son, David Leon Edgeworth; sister Lucille Windham Burkhalter; brothers, Lauren and Lanthus Windham.

She is survived by her daughter Annette (Edwin) Edgeworth Smith of Ranburne; one sister, Virginia Windham Dyer Free of Reform; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Hendrix, Jerry Windham, Larry Windham, Lanny Windham, Bruce Hickman, Boyd Edgeworth, Frank Gilliam, Kevin Brooks and Bobby Cowart.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Skelton Funeral Home of Reform.

Skelton Funeral Home will direct the service.

LINEVILLE — James Bishop died June 17.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Childersburg Mortuary Service.
