CLYDE GORDON
MILLERVILLE — Funeral service for Clyde Gordon, 83, will be Thursday, June 3, at 2 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home chapel in Ashland with the Rev. Jim Arnall and the Rev. Steve Dyess officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Gordon died May 31 at Clay County Hospital. He was a native of Talladega County and had lived most of his life in Clay County. He was a World War II veteran, serving three years in the United States Army. He received the Purple Heart and was a member of Bethel Christian Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Marie Gordon; a son, Tommy Gordon; a sister, Lorene Sprayberry; and a brother, Thomas Gordon.
He is survived by his wife, Polly Gordon of Millerville; sons, Steve Gordon of Goodwater, Tim Gordon of Sylacauga and Mark Gordon of Ashland; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Bailey, Stephen Ross, Tommy Booth, Wayne Sprayberry, Lowell Sprayberry, William Sprayberry, Terry Hallman and Scott Tucker.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home until service time Thursday.
Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland will direct the service.

SYLACAUGA — Burk Graham, 81, died June 2 at Coosa Valley BMC.

LILLIE MAE GRAVETTE
KELLYTON — Funeral service for Lillie Mae Gravette, 85, will be Thursday, June 3, at 11 a.m. at Kellyton Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Millerville Cemetery.
Mrs. Gravette died June 1 at Brown Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 16, 1919 in Tallapoosa County to Albert Sidney Alexander and Mary Lizzie McClellan Alexander. She worked as a smash hand for Russell Corporation. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lenward Evans Gravette; son, Lindon Evans Gravette; her parents; brother, Jasper "Buddy" Alexander; and sisters, Betty Joyce Hallmark, Avanell Eason and Nagel Truett.
She is survived by sons, John Wayne Gravette of Toney and Ricky Gravette of Kellyton; daughters, Gail Stewart and Shelia Mims of Kellyton; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Alexander and S.J. Alexander of Alexander City; and sisters, Eleanor Stewart, Rosemary Moore and Dorothy Tharpe of Alexander City.
Radney Funeral Home in Alexander City will direct the service.
PATRICIA ELAINE ACKEY
MUNFORD — Funeral service for Patricia Elaine Lackey, 60, will be Friday, June 4, at 2 p.m. at Talladega Church of Christ with Richard O'Conner officiating. Burial will be in Munford Cemetery.
Mrs. Lackey died June 2 at University Hospital in Birmingham. She was a native of Birmingham, lived six years in Texas and the past 19 years in Talladega County. She was a member of Talladega Church of Christ and was coordinator of Tuesday School at Talladega Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Lamar Lackey of Munford; sons, Richard Lackey and Brian Lackey of Munford and Steven Lackey and wife Lauria of Talladega; brother, Michael Powell of North Carolina; two grandchildren; and two nieces.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

VIOLA MARTIN
ALEXANDER CITY — Funeral service for Viola Martin, 82, will be Friday, June 4, at 1 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church in Kellyton with the Rev. Eddie L. Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Martin died May 29 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. She was born June 25, 1921, in Coosa County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie B. Jackson and Maggie Marbury Jackson.
She is survived by daughters, Maggie Martin Jackson and Camilla Buckner of Alexander City and Barbara Sears and Ethel Jones of Cleveland, Ohio; sons, the Rev. James Powell Jr., R.H. Martin and Palmon Martin of Alexander City, Tarriant Martin of Gulfport, Miss., L. Douglas Powell of St. Louis, Mo., and Leon Martin of Cleveland, Ohio; sister, Essie Maxwell of Kellyton; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

ASHLAND — Funeral service for William D. "Bill" Pruett Jr., 75, will be Friday, June 4, at 11 a.m. at Benefield Funeral Home chapel in Ashland with the Rev. Richard East officiating. Burial will be in Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mr. Pruett died May 31 at his residence. He was a native of Chilton County, a former resident of Atlanta, Ga., and had lived the past 36 years in Clay County. He was a veteran of World War II and the
Korean War, having served in the United States Air Force. He was a retired carpenter and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
He is survived by three daughters; two sons; one brother; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday and until service time on Friday.

TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Nina M. Thomas, 73, will be Friday, June 4, at 3:30 p.m. at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomas died May 31. She was a member of the Southpark Church of God and retired office manager with Dr. Dan Coyle Jr.
She is survived by her husband, W.P. Thomas; daughter, Donna T. Hollander (E.T.) of Hayden; son, Michael Thomas (Kay) of Pleasant Grove; grandchildren, Tony, Shane and Kacy Thomas and Amy and Natalie Hollander; great-grandchildren; Ryan, Michael and Emily; sisters, Doris York, Alta Mae Smith and Barbara Johnson; and brothers, Eugene, Marvin, Melvin and Dale Johnson.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

REV. DAVID JASPER JENKINS
JACKSONVILLE — Funeral service for the Rev. David Jasper Jenkins, 81, will be Saturday, June 5, at 7 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be Sunday, June 6, in Anniston Memorial Gardens.
The Rev. Jenkins died June 4 at his residence. He was a member and a retired minister of the Church of the Nazarene. He had held pastorates in Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, Mississippi and Tennessee. He was also retired from the Chambers County Board of Education.
He is survived by his wife, Sara B. Jenkins of Jacksonville; daughter, Miriam J. Thornton of Jacksonville; one grandson; sisters, Christine Jenkins and Annice Morrow of Richland, Miss.; and brothers, Alton Jenkins of Springfield, Tenn., and Halbert Jenkins of Austell, Ga.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 5 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Rev. Jenkin's fellow ministers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Anniston Church of the Nazarene or New Beacon Hospice.

PELL CITY — Funeral service for the Rev. Leonard J. Turner, 79, will be Saturday, June 5, at 11 a.m. at Coosa Valley Church of God with the Rev. Charlie Bolt, the Rev. Rick Luman and the Rev. Danny Turner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The Rev. Turner died June 3. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtice Mae Willingham Turner; and a son, Kenneth L. Turner.
He is survived by son, Clifford C. Turner; adopted daughter, Jodie Smith; brothers, Wayne Turner, Billy C. Turner, Danny Turner and Glenn Turner; and five grandchildren.
