ANNISTON — Judie Sandlin, 92, died April 26.

BIRMINGHAM — Funeral service for Doris W. Saunders, 68, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Valley Chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Saunders died April 23. She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Bob" Saunders.
She is survived by son, Barry A. Wier of Pelham; daughter, Yvonne Tinney of Alabaster; grandchildren, April Y. Brower and husband Scott, and Hunter Tinney; and sisters, Jean Burk and Helen Hart.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Safe House or to the United Lung Association.
Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood will direct the service.

ANNISTON — Melvelene Smith, 62, died April 24.

SYLACAUGA — Graveside service for Rosa P. Wade, 82, will be Tuesday, April 27, at 4 p.m. in Sycamore Cemetery
with the Rev. Jimmy Dale Abrams officiating.
Mrs. Wade died April 25 at her residence. She was a native of Talladega County and was retired from Avondale Mills Sycamore Plant.
She is survived by daughters, Janice Willetts of Tarpen Springs, Fla., and Rosemary Ogle McGowan of Sylacauga; sister, Estelle P. Epperson of Sylacauga; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Duane Willetts, Mark Ogle, Mickey Patterson, James Mitchell, Donald Chappell and Terry Chappell.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.

MONTGOMERY — Graveside service for Deborah Amason Wise, 51, will be Wednesday, April 28, at 11 a.m. in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery
with the Rev. Zenus Windsor officiating.
Mrs. Wise died April 26 at University Hospital in Birmingham. She was a native of Clay County and had lived the past 30 years in Montgomery. She was a self-employed bookkeeper and was a Baptist by faith.
She is survived by sisters, Mary Prue Walker of Conyers, Ga., Carol Canady of Winston, Ga., and Shirley Buckhannan of Lineville; brothers, Maynard Amason of Lineville and R.H. Amason of Cragford; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday and until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — Funeral service for La'Shonda Twanda (Rock) Cook, 26, formerly of Talladega, will be Friday, April 30, at 1 p.m. at Africa Missionary Baptist Church in Talladega with the Rev. William T. Threatt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Ms. Cook died April 22 at Clarksville Medical Center. She was employed by White Castle Incorporated. She was a 1995 graduate of Winterboro High School as an honors student and attended Alabama State University in Montgomery studying Criminal Justice.
She is survived by her parents, Brother Jimmy W. Cook and Brenda Nix Cook of Talladega; brothers, Darnell T. Cook of Chicago, Ill., Cornelius L. Cook of Talladega and Maurice Smith of Sylacauga; her grandmother, Birdia Mae Taylor Nix of Talladega; and a host of other relatives.
Uncles and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The Class of 1995 at Winterboro High School will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The Class of 1995 at Winterboro High School and friends of the family will serve as flowerbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from noon until 9 p.m.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.

DETROIT, Mich. — Sammie Judkins, formerly of Coosa County, died April 28 at Harpers Hospital in Detroit.

Mrs. McCrary died April 27. She was a charter member of Roywood Acres Church of God of Prophecy.
She is survived by daughters, Ora Newton and Ann Glass; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Parodi died April 26.
She is survived by daughters, Tracey Lee Guttierres, Regina Marie Doyle, Nadia Elfa DeLong and Robin Darlene Cullum; sons, Harry Dilbert Covey IV and Richard Allen Covey; 23 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Ola Mae Sanford, 94, will be Friday, April 30, at 10 a.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Dennis Herron officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery
in Sylacauga.
Mrs. Sanford died April 27 in Sylacauga. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Sanford; son, Tommy Sanford; and eight brothers and sisters. She was a member of Mignon United Methodist Church.
She is survived by son, Charles K. Sanford of Childersburg; daughters, Billie Ogletree of Sylacauga and Betty Baker of Panama City, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 4:30 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

SYLACAUGA — Michael W. Schwartz, 82, died April 28 in Goodwater. He was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and was preceded in death by his parents, Vladimer and Lydia Schwartz.
He is survived by his wife, Helena Schwartz of Sylacauga; son, George Schwartz of Sylacauga; daughters, Tania Fuglewicz of Atlanta, Ga., and Olga Schwartz of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga is in charge of the arrangements.

Jeffrey Wayne Smith, age 38, of Walled Lake, Michigan, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, on the Manistee River doing what he loved most, Fishing.
Jeffrey W. Smith is survived by his mother, Vie Warshaw of Springville, Alabama; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Jane and Randy Triola of Milford, Michigan, Susie and Daniel Smith of Springville, Alabama, and Dianne Snedeen of Orlando, Florida. Jeffrey is also survived by his companion of 20 years Belinda Spurlock of Walled Lake, Michigan, also one niece, six nephews and one great-niece also survive.
A Memorial Service will be conducted on Friday, April 30, 2004, at 1 p.m. at the Herbert Funeral Home in Manistee with Rev. Russ Garrigus officiating. The family will be present at the funeral home from noon until the time of service to receive friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
