SYLACAUGA — Melinda Brown, 43, died April 25 at her residence.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Emory S. Burke, 73, will be Tuesday, April 27, at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North chapel with the Rev. Ralph Green and the Rev. Harold Bannister officiating. Burial will be in Talladega Springs Cemetery
with full military service.
Mr. Burke died April 24 at Russell Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Thelma Burke; daughter, Beverly Burke Ingram; son, Royce (Lenny) Riley; sisters, Myra Taylor, Annette Allen; and brothers, Euly Burke, Julius Burke and Larry Burke. He served in the United States Army for 21 1/2 years, served in the
Korean War and received a Purple Heart. He was a constable for Talladega County for 20 years, was a native of Decatur, Ga., was a Shriner and worked as a processor for DHR for 11 years.
He is survived by his wife, Myra Earline Burke of Sylacauga; daughter, Debbie Barber of Vincent; grandchildren, Miranda Bolton of Florence, Carrie Ingram of Sylacauga, Chelsea Ingram of Sylacauga, Amanda Lindenthaler of Sylacauga, Maria Carter of Harpersville, Billy Riley of Dover, Fla., Benny Riley of Sylacauga, Chris Barber of Vincent and Terry Barber of Vincent; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Darby, Brianna, Courtney, Bailey, Madison, Jordyn, Kadence, Coley, Haley, Austin, Cortney and Nataley; brother, Ray Burke and wife Hazel of Tallassee, Fla.; and sisters, Lorene Lollie and husband Sam of Tallassee, Fla., and Mamie Herring of Donaldsonville, Ga.
Masons and Shriners will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Zamora Shrine Temple, 3521 Ratliff Road, Irondale, Ala., 35210.

MUNFORD — Graveside service for Alice Carroll, 82, will be Tuesday, April 27, at 10 a.m. in Mt. Olive Baptist Cemetery
in Talladega with the Rev. Russell Rodriguez officiating.
Mrs. Carroll died April 25 at Curry Station Inn in Munford. She was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega and attended Talladega Wesleyan Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Roland Carroll, and a son, Jerry Carroll.
She is survived by son, Don Carroll of Talladega; daughter, Judy Preston of Wetumpka; sister, Hazel Johnson of Talladega; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the service.

Mr. Forbes died April 26 at his residence.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Gladys Elizabeth Green, 84, was Monday, April 26, at 10 a.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bobby Green officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery
in Sylacauga.
Mrs. Green died April 24. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. "Willie" Green; and two sons, James Green and Claude Green. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.
She is survived by sons, Robert T. Green of Anniston, Gary L. Green of Lakeland, Fla., Roy V. Green of Stewartville and Bobby R. Green of Anniston; daughters, Peggy V. Green Morgan of Stewartville, Janice Faye Breedlove of Sylacauga, Cathy L. Myers of Moody and Pauline Ariza of Stewartville; sister, Kathleen Hosey of Highland City, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
The family will accept flowers or contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, 1113 Stewartville Road, Sylacauga, Ala., 35151.
Pallbearers were Scott Green, Jason Green, Jim Green, Ken Green, Chuck Myers, Brett Myers, Wayne Barnes, Hugh Barnes and Danny Kelly.

DRUCILLA WATSON HYDE
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Drucilla Watson "Mammy" Hyde, 93, was Monday, April 26, at 1 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Todd Reaves and Nathan Duncan officiating. Burial was in Marble City Cemetery.
Mrs. Hyde died April 23 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert P. Watson; her husband, U.S. Hyde; daughter, Mary Jo "Boots" Hyde; and brother, Roy D. Watson. She was a long-time member of Mignon Baptist Church. Mrs. Hyde was lovingly known by all close friends and family members as "Mammy". She was always there faithfully to anyone that needed an ear to listen or a shoulder to lean on.
She is survived by daughter, Elizabeth "Annette" Hyde of Sylacauga; brother, John Andrew Watson Sr. of Lafayette, Ga.; brother-in-law, Joe Hyde Jr. of Weogufka; sister-in-law, Bea Hyde of Weogufka; four very special nieces, Betty S. Lessley of Sylacauga, Connie P. Duke of Sylacauga, Charlotte H. Burkett of Birmingham and Judy Baker of Georgia; two very special nephews, Joe H. Hyde III of Ardmore, Tenn., and John A. Watson Jr. of Cumming, Ga.; and a host of great-nieces and nephews that she loved very much.
Pallbearers were Jeff Hyde, Joe Hyde III, Joe Hyde, John A. Watson Jr., Steve Sawyer, Tyler Frost and Mark Burkett.
Honorary pallbearers were Mickey Caldwell, Jim Pasley, Billy Tapley, Bob Williamson, Dr. Walter P. Pinson, deacons of Mignon Baptist Church and Les Garrett.

Mr. O'Barr died April 25. He was a member of Eden Westside Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dean O'Barr; son, Jim O'Barr; sister, Mary Armstrong; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Russell died April 26 at Brown's Nursing Home. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sylacauga.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
