HOOVER GLENN
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Hoover Glenn, 75, will be Tuesday, April 20, at noon at Harper Spring Baptist Church with the Rev. Aaron Greenlea and the Rev. Freddie Flanigan officiating. Burial will be in Harper Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Glenn died April 16 at his residence. He was a native of Coosa County and retired from Floyd & Beasley. He was a member of Harper Spring Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mae Glenn.
He is survived by two daughters, Shirley Nix and Doris Hudson of Sylacauga; one son, Bernard Glenn of Alpine; two sisters, Bernice McKinney and Vernice Embrey, both of Sylacauga; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kendrick Cook, Antraun Glenn, Darrell Burns, Antonio Horton, Martin Harvey and Brian Cook.
Madden’s Funeral Service will direct the service.

DADEVILLE — Funeral service for Bettye Jean Bailey, 60, will be Wednesday, April 21, at 1 p.m. at New Popular Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Lindsey Torbert officiating. Burial will be in Lockhart Cemetery.
Mrs. Bailey died April 17.
She is survived by special friend, Leon Ferrell; sisters, Annie L. Leonard, Edith Russell, Janet Sands, Mavis Burns, Dorothy Canady and Annie S. Davis of Dadeville; brother, Charles Russell of Dadeville; 15 nieces; 16 nephews; and a host of great-nieces and nephews and other relatives.

ALVIN RALPH CLARK JR.
LEEDS — Funeral service for Alvin Ralph Clark Jr., 80, will be Tuesday, April 20, at 2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Leeds. Burial will be in Forest Crest Cemetery.
Mr. Clark died April 17. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was retired from the Anniston Army Depot.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Clark; daughter, Christy Clark; his mother, Edith Clark; brother, Bobby Clark; sisters, Beverly Slovensky and Jean Stone; and three grandchildren.

MUNFORD — Funeral service for Della R. Strickland Daugherty, 73, will be Tuesday, April 20, at 1 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home chapel in Oxford with the Rev. Curtis Collett and the Rev. Roger Young officiating. Burial will be in Salt Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Daugherty died April 18 at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Daugherty; her parents, A.E. Strickland Sr. and Nellie Ray Strickland; sister, Arlis Faye Strickland; brother, Billy M. Strickland (Bunk); sisters-in-law, Margie Strickland and Johnnie Strickland; and brother, Harlin Hughes. She was a member of Jenifer Baptist Church in Munford.
She is survived by her children, Rita Daugherty of Munford, Bill Daugherty of Munford and Hope and husband Brian Cook of Weaver; sisters, Elizabeth Hughes of Munford, Joyce Horne and husband George of Oxford and Gail Hill and husband Mike of Tuscaloosa; brothers, A.E. Strickland Jr. (June), Mark Strickland, Don Strickland and wife Susan, all of Oxford, Dave Strickland of Munford, Bob Strickland and wife Sue, Glen Strickland and wife Cynthia and Paul Strickland and wife Joyce, all of Munford; grandchildren, Katie and Ethan Cook; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Harold Strickland, Patrick Horne, Tony Strickland, Roger Hughes, Jeff Hughes and Tim Horne.

Mrs. Gilbert died April 18 at DCH in Tuscaloosa.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Gilbert; daughters, Jeraldine Thompson (Dave) of Tempe, Ariz., and Deborah Marrero (Kevin) of Huntsville; stepdaughter, Sharon Yates of Montgomery; stepsons, Don Gilbert of Montgomery and Douglas Gilbert of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters, Bonnie Harkey (Doyle) of Northport, Floy Smith of Lexington, Sidna Smalley (Wayne) of Samantha and Sharon Stringfellow (Billy) of Tuscaloosa; brothers, Ray Strickland (Linda) of Pheonix, Ariz., and Justin Strickland (Geraldine) of Samantha; three grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The infant died April 17 at Citizens BMC.
He is survived by his parents, Jeremy Taurezz Hill Sr. and Sharonda Moore of Alpine; grandmothers, Drucilla Moore of Alpine and Juliette Hill of Talladega; and grandfathers, Kirk Kelley of Alpine and Leroy Hill of Talladega.

Mr. Long died April 19 in Gadsden.
He is survived by his wife, Agathe Long of Ashville; sons, Jonathan Michael Long of Ashville and James Marty Long Jr. of Texas; brothers, Charlie Long and Walter Long of Odenville and Hilton Long of Tennessee; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Mizzell died April 18. She was originally from Sylacauga, was a graduate of B.B. Comer High School and was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. (Buck) Mizzell; and brother, Donald McCain.
She is survived by sons, Terry L. Mizzell, Mark T. Mizzell and Chris Mizzell; brother, Doyle McCain; sister, Helen Stewart; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

PORT ARTHUR, Texas — Graveside service for Helen Miller Nelson, 75, will be Thursday, April 22, at 2 p.m. in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery
in Talladega.
Mrs. Nelson died April 17 in Port Arthur, Texas. She was a native of Talladega and lived in Port Arthur, Texas, for the past 50 years. She was a retired clerk from Beall's Department Store at Central Mall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tandy M. Nelson Sr.; son, Tandy M. Nelson Jr.; brother, Horace Miller; and sisters, Geneva Arnold and Katherine Alverson.
She is survived by daughters, Helen LeRitz of Bastrop, Texas, Alice Nelson of Beaumont, Texas, Mary Nelson of Grove, Texas and Valerie Judice of Arlington, Texas; son, Stanley Nelson of Port Acres, Texas; sisters, Margaret Edwards of Sylacauga, Marie Barber of Talladega and Doris Hamlin of Talladega; and six grandchildren.

THOMAS EDWIN NORTHCUTT
BILOXI, Miss. — Funeral service for Thomas Edwin (Tommy) Northcutt will be Tuesday, April 20, at 2 p.m. at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel in Newnan, Ga., with the Rev. Rhodes Skinner officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Northcutt died April 18 in Biloxi. He was born April 14, 1941, in Shelby County, the son of A.C. and Catherine (White) Northcutt. He was a self-employed dry wall contractor and loved fishing, car racing and he loved to visit casinos.
He is survived by his wife, Janette Northcutt; daughters and sons-in-law, Dinah Northcutt of Montgomery, Wanda and Jeff Murdock of Newnan, Ga., and Amanda and Bill Eiland of Newnan, Ga.; his mother, Catherine Northcutt of Childersburg; brothers, Speddy, Terry and Bud; sisters, Leona, Loretta, Tiny, Janice and Judy; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

TALLADEGA — Graveside service for Catherine W. Redmon, 88, will be Tuesday, April 20, at 1 p.m. in Pine Hill Memorial Park with Paul Powers officiating.
Mrs. Redmon died April 18. She was a native of Clay County and lived in Talladega County most of her life. She retired from Palm Beach in Talladega and was a member of Talladega Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by a son, Steve F. Redmon; and a great-grandson, Andrew Horn.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Mary Virginia Horn of Munford; sister, Myrtice Mock of Talladega; daughter-in-law, Joy Redmon of Talladega; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kelly Horn, Jeremy Horn, Steve Oliver, Larry Robinson, Butch Cooper and Ricky Wilson.
