CHILDERSBURG — Robert E. Davis Sr., 74, died Feb. 3 at Coosa Valley BMC.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel.
ELNA J. FINCH
PELL CITY — Graveside service for Elna J. Finch, 86, was Monday in Valley Hill Memorial Cemetery
with the Rev. Vincent Arnold officiating.
Mrs. Finch died Feb. 2. She was a lifelong resident of Pell City and a member of Guiding Light Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Thomas F. Finch and wife Miriam L. Finch; one granddaughter, Trista L. Barrentine and husband Nick of Pell City; one great-grandson, Bryant N. Barrentine; and several nieces and nephews.
Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City directed the service.
TOWNES JOHNSON
LINEVILLE — Townes Johnson, 93, of 40 Big Oak Road, died Feb. 3 at his residence.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary.
BIRDIE LEE REAVES JONES
ASHLAND — Funeral service for Birdie Lee Reaves Jones, 83, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Lineville with the Rev. Zenus Windsor and the Rev. Noel Vickers officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Jones died Feb. 3 at Russell Medical Center in Alexander City. She was a native of Randolph County, but had lived most of her life in Clay County. She was a 1938 graduate of Woodland High School, a homemaker and a member of County Line Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Caldwell, and her husband, Jennings Jones.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathy East of Ashland; two sons, Lonnie Jones of Salem and Paul Jones of Alexander City; three sisters, Eunice Poteet of California, Annie (Dot) Jones of Mellow Valley and Irene Ingram of Ashland; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shane Caldwell, Jeff Caldwell, Chris East, Kevin East, Mike Johnston, Ken Pomeroy, Jimmy Jones and Brett Newman.
Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Jones.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home until one hour before the service.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour.
Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville will direct the service.
LAVERNE PODY RAYFIELD
WEOGUFKA — Funeral service for Laverne Pody Rayfield, 81, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Bill Gresham, the Rev. Danny Bynum and the Rev. David Mann officiating. Burial will be in Old Weogufka Cemetery
in Weogufka.
Mrs. Rayfield died Feb. 3 at Sylacauga Health Care Center. She was a member of Old Weogufka Baptist Church and was married for 64 years.
She is survived by her husband, O.W. (Duke) Rayfield of Weogufka; two sons, Dwight L. Rayfield and wife Ouida Rayfield of Sylacauga and Sonny Rayfield and wife Linda Rayfield of Sylacauga; two daughters, Juanita Shell of Sylacauga and Kathy Nelson and husband David Nelson of Renfroe; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga will direct the service.
AVA LUKER RICHEY
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Ava Luker Richey, 76, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Talladega Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Harvey Bowlin Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Richey died Feb. 3 at her residence. She was a member of Trinity Lighthouse Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Richey of Talladega; two daughters, Janis Walker of Jacksonville, Fla., and Joni Davis of Smith; one son, James D. (Jimmy) Luker of Morris; sisters, Shirley Goble of Albertville, Jean McDonald of Rome, Ga., Freda Johnson, Cheryl Ogle and Polly Robson of Fyffe; seven granchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 until 7 p.m.
Pallbearers will be J.C. Bowlin, J.T. Cosby, Nolan Hethcox, Tim Renda, Charles Hurst and Thomas Wilcox.
Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.

SYLACAUGA — Charles W. Watkins, 78, died Feb. 3 at his residence.

JESSIE MAE WILLIAMS
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Jessie Mae (Tit Lit) Williams, 58, of 407 Burr Ave., will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Belview Baptist Church with the Rev. Timothy Caldwell and the Rev. Billy Springer officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams died Jan. 29 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Williams, and a sister, Sarah Williams. She was a member of Africa Baptist Church and was a former private duty nurse.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda and Jerome Curry of Talladega; one stepson, Jacob and Donna Twymon of Talladega; sisters, Mary L. Scott and Elizabeth and husband Tommy Wright of Talladega, Betty and husband William Boyd of Springfields Garden, N.Y., and Betty Coggins of Jamaica, N.Y.; two brothers, Tommy Lee Williams and Edward Charles Williams of Talladega; two grandchildren, Shanquana Curry and Quanatavis Curry of Talladega; and one great-grandchild, Alyssa Curry of Talladega.
Pallbearers will be Marshall Lee Shelton, Hace Embry, Arthur Lee Kelly, Elijah Small and Gene Scott.
Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Scott, Billy Ray Scott, Anthony Tyrone Scott, Lamont Scott and Kenneth Scott.
Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the service.
