EARLYNE RHODES
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Earlyne Rhodes, 76, will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel with the Rev. Carey Brown and the Rev. Chuck Kornegay officiating.
Mrs. Rhodes died April 2 at Baptist Montclair Medical Center in Birmingham. She was a native of Talladega County and former owner of Earlyne's Flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Rhodes of Sylacauga; one daughter, Debbie R. Nelson of Sylacauga; and four grandchildren, Jason Phillip Nelson, Bethany Lynne Nelson, Lauren Emma Nelson and Kristen Emily Nelson.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.
CHALICE LOUISE BOWLING SHERRILL
CHILDERSBURG — Funeral service for Chalice Louise Bowling Sherrill, 89, will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel with the Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Burial will be in Childersburg Cemetery.
Mrs. Sherrill died April 2 at Talladega Health Care. She was a member of Bon Air Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Wanda Ridley of Childersburg; one son, Herman Sherrill of Childersburg; three brothers, Bruce Bowling, Henry Bowling and John Bowling, all of Childersburg; three sisters, Marie Bowling of Childersburg, Adelia Kaestner of Sylacauga and Kate Taylor of Decatur; two grandchildren, Mark Ridley of Piedmont and Mike Ridley of Alabaster.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

HORACE ROGER WHITE SR.
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. — Funeral service for Horace Roger White Sr., 81, formerly of Sylacauga, will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. J.L. Morris, his brother-in-law, of Madison, Miss., officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery
in Sylacauga.
Mr. White died April 2 at St. Andrew's Rehabilitation Center. He moved to Panama City Beach with his wife, Hattie, after he retired as senior vice president and comptroller of Avondale Mills in Sylacauga. He attended Sylacauga High School, where he was the quarterback of the football team. He then attended Yale University, graduated from Auburn University and received his juris doctorate degree from Birmingham School of Law. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sylacauga, a Rotarian, Jaycee and board member of First National Bank of Sylacauga. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lela and Odell White, and his brothers, Crawford "Buck" White and Lester "Snook" White.
He is survived by his wife, Hattie White of Panama City Beach, Fla.; two sons, Horace R. White Jr. of Marietta, Ga., and Don O. White of Mobile; one brother, Ray White of Sylacauga; one sister, Faye Williams of Gadsden; five grandchildren, Horace R. White III, Rosalind Conrad, Christopher White, Corey White and Cameron White; and several great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

IRENE I. ALVERSON
PELL CITY — Funeral service for Irene I. Alverson, 80, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. A.L. Courtney and the Rev. John Thweatt officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Alverson died April 4. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius William (Bill) Alverson, and a son, Phillip William Alverson Sr.
She is survived by son, Mitchell W. (Suzanne) Alverson; daughter, Nancy Jacqueline (Mark J.) Davenport; daughter-in-law, Cheryl H. Alverson; brother, Charles Isbell; grandchildren, Mitchell Wade Alverson Jr. M.D., Phillip W. Alverson Jr., Kenneth E. Dorough Jr., R. Craig Alverson, W. Jud Alverson, W. Keith Dorough and Jill M. Bowden; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.
ROBERT JACK CULBERSON JR.
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Robert Jack Culberson Jr., 36, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Neal Culberson and the Rev. Pete West officiating. Burial will be in Andrews Chapel Cemetery
in Hanover.
Mr. Culberson died April 4. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harvey "Hob" Culberson and Earlene Culberson Walker and Eyrlene Prater Grady and Hudson Prater. He was a graduate of UAB with a bachelor's degree in philosophy and English. He was employed by Imaging Business Machines in Birmingham. He loved the outdoors and his dog "Pete".
He is survived by his father, Robert J. Culberson Sr. of Rockford; his mother, Gerry Culberson of Rockford; sister, Regina Bice of Sylacauga; brother-in-law, Brad Bice of Sylacauga; niece, Kimberly Bice of Sylacauga; nephew, Brandon Bice of Sylacauga; grandmother, Zelda Prater of Pensacola, Fla.; special friend, James (J.T.) Taylor of Birmingham; best friend and companion, "Pete"; and a host of other relatives and many loving friends.
The family will accept flowers or contributions to Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church, Route 2, Rockford, Ala., 35136.
Pallbearers will be Chase Gray, Brandon Bice, Allen Zipprich, Wendell Merrell, Chuck Baker, Jeff McGrady and John Distasio.

TALLADEGA — Louise M. Dargin, 96, died April 4 in Lincoln.

NORCROSS, Ga. — Funeral service for Lillie Belle Green, 97, formerly of Ashland, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Clay County Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Zenus Windsor officiating. Burial will be in Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Green died April 4 at her residence. She was a native of Clay County and had been a resident of the Atlanta area for 25 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Ruth Baca of Chamblee, Ga., and Louise Strickland of Norcross, Ga.; sister, Luzie Bailey of Valley; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon until service time at the funeral home.

LINEVILLE — Funeral service for Horace Kellum, 83, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Charlie Bolt officiating. Burial will be in Lineville City Cemetery.
Mr. Kellum died April 4 at Clay County Hospital.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. and until service time Wednesday.

CHARLES J. MARCRUM
ASHVILLE — Funeral service for Charles J. Marcrum, 84, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Leeds. Burial will be in Forest Crest Cemetery.
Mr. Marcrum died April 4. He was post commander of American Legion Post 170 and served two terms as District 1 County Commissioner. He was a member of the St. Clair County Gideons, Pine Forest Baptist Church, Alabama Farm Bureau Association and Cattlemen's Association. He was active in senior citizens activities in the county. He was a supporter of Hospice and was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by sons, Joseph Dewitt Marcrum, Gary L. Marcrum, Bert R. Marcrum and Charles L. Marcrum; 12 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
