LESTER FRANKLIN ROBINSON
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Lester Franklin Robinson, 72, will be Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North chapel with the Rev. Andy Decker, Chaplin Mark Peoples and Mary Russell officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Robinson died April 1 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his mother, Addie Robinson; and brother, James Lowell Robinson. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, served four years in the Air Force and was an active member of International Union of Operating Engineers. He loved to travel and fish.
He is survived by his wife, Kay F. Robinson of Sylacauga; brothers, Billy O. Robinson and Annette of Montgomery, Eddie Dale Robinson and Alfa of Sylacauga and Donnie Hugh Robinson of Sylacauga; sisters, Mary Ellen Dennis and Sherrell Pody of Millbrook, Edna Parnell and Robert of Sylacauga and Sue Ragsdale and William of Montgomery; his father, Jeffie Franklin Robinson of Sylacauga; nine nieces; eight nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Robinson of Sylacauga.
The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice for their care and devotion and concern, also the caregivers — Dot Stone, Vera Brown and Mary Russell for their love and care.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Dodson, Rowe Grimes, Steve Embry, Joe Bob Sanders and Harold Riggins.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Grimes Chapel Baptist Church.

SOLON LEONARD SOUTHERN
VINCENT — Funeral service for Solon Leonard Southern, 87, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Kurt Russell and the Rev. LeRoy Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Vincent City Cemetery.
Mr. Southern died April 2. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Deris and Mary Southern; two brothers, O.D. and Hulen Southern; and two sisters, Ruby Rich and Velma Simons.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Nadine; daughters, Cynthia (Gary) Abercrombie and Sherry (George) Henderson; son, Solon Leonard (Vicki) Southern Jr.; sisters, Hassie Sims, Edna Fleming, Eva Smith, Dorothy Whitten and Thelma Gilliland; brothers, Gordon Southern and Edward Southern; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Rob Abercrombie, Scott Abercrombie, Lloyd Donahoo, Aaron Southern, Brian Southern and Eddie Raley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Colvin, Reece Donahoo, Justin Floyd, Matthew Floyd and Trent Floyd.
Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.
ANNIE JACKS VARNER
WEOGUFKA — Funeral service for Annie Jacks Varner, 91, will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Thornton and the Rev. Jim Bolton officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Mrs. Varner died April 1 at Russell Medical Center. She was preceded in death by two sons, Lee Varner and Wayne Varner. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Church and was a charter member of West Coosa Senior Center.
She is survived by son, Huston and Dorothy Varner of Odena; daughters, Wyona Crockett of Jemison, Rilla Beeson of Ft. Worth, Texas, Linda and Ralph Goswick of Weogufka and Judy Brown of Watauga, Texas; daughter-in-laws, Evelyn Varner of Weogufka and Edna Varner of Stewartville; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The body may be viewed at the church Saturday from 2:30 until 3 p.m.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home South Chapel will direct the service.

PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Roger White died April 2 in Panama City, Fla.

JERRYL SCOTT RIGGINS
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Jerryl Scott "P.J." Riggins, 26, will be Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Porter F. Wheeler Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Sylacauga Cemetery.
Mr. Riggins died March 29 at Atmore Medical Center.
He is survived by his father, Darryl Riggins of Chicago; five sisters, Shovette Seales of Talladega, Donna Riggins, Tywanda Riggins, Krista Riggins and Sonya Riggins, all of Sylacauga; four brothers, Roderick McGowan, Demetrius McGowan, Darryll Riggins and Edgar Riggins, all of Sylacauga; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from noon to 9 p.m. at Community Funeral Home.

TRACY ABNER
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Tracy Abner, 87, will be Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Bob Blackwell officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Abner died April 3 at his residence. He was a native of Winston County and resident of Talladega for the past 30 years. He was a retired U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II and the
Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Ophelia Abner, and one brother, Dewell Abner.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Abner of Talladega; two sisters, Bonnie M. Crowell of Talladega and Nadine Wilson and her husband, Aaron, of Gardendale; three brothers, Dewey Abner of Jasper, William "Bill" Abner and his wife, Adele, of Warrior, and the Rev. G.K. Abner and his wife, Jean, of Heflin; and one sister-in-law, Edna Abner of Elkhart, Ind.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home.

CHILDERSBURG — Funeral service for Ressie Mae Graham, 74, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel with the Rev. Don Grice officiating. Burial will be in County Line Cemetery.
Mrs. Graham died April 2 at Baptist Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga.
She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Dean and her husband, Malcolm, of Perry, Ga., and Mary Rains and her husband, Gus Nikitoplus of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; one brother, Vernon Gooden of Sylacauga; two sisters, Katherine "Chinkie" Gooden and her husband, Clarence, of Douglasville, Ga., and Joyce Livingston and her husband, Jimmie, of Childersburg; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

DARRELL McLESTER
ANNISTON — Funeral service for Darrell "Winkle" McLester, 45, will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Anniston Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Ken Babbs officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery.
Mr. McLester died March 28 at Stringfellow Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Anniston and member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew McLester Sr. and Ruth McLester.
He is survived by one son, Darrell McLester Jr. of Anniston; one daughter, Natasha Brown of Anniston; one sister, Alenda White of Anniston; and two brothers, Andrew McLester and Tyrone McLester, both of Anniston.
The body will lie in state at the chapel for one hour prior to the service.
Anniston Funeral Services will direct the service.
EFFIE CRAWFORD MULKEY
LINEVILLE — Funeral service for Effie Crawford Mulkey, 85, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Travis Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Lineville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Mulkey died April 3 at Baptist Montclair Medical Center in Birmingham. She was a Talladega County native but lived most of her life in Clay County. She was a homemaker, a former employee of Higgins Manufacturing and member of Good Hope Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Grady J. Mulkey of Lineville; two daughters, Betty Abbott of Childersburg and Becky Ballard of Lineville; one sister, Lillie Jenkins of Ashland; two brothers, Roy Crawford of Cullman and Dixon Crawford of Nashville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, William Ballard and Debra Kuhn; and two great-grandchildren, Jamie Kuhn and Will Ballard.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Monday before service time.
