ODENVILLE — Graveside service for George W. Johnson, 64, will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Broken Arrow Cemetery
in Pell City with the Rev. Ives Harris Sr. officiating.
Mr. Johnson died March 30 in Birmingham.
He is survived by his wife, Nona Fay Johnson of Odenville; sons, Gerald Johnson (Linda) of Lubbock, Texas and Jeffrey S. Johnson (Malinda) of Cumming, Ga.; sisters, Julia Mae Russell of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Mattie Jane Smith of Dexter, Mo., Pansy Louise Spencer of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Kathy Sue Johnson of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; brothers, James Lee Johnson of Shreveport, La., Jack Johnson of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Jerry Johnson of Grandin, Mo.; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.

COLUMBIANA — Mable Kidd, 78, died March 31 at her residence.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Emma C. McKinney will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at St. Thomas United Methodist Church in Sylacauga with the Rev. Styker officiating. Burial will be in Armour's Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. McKinney died March 23 at Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton, Okla. She was born April 14, 1938, in Coosa County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Boy McCore and Vangia Kelly Conway.
She is survived by sons, Danny McKinney and Michael McKinney of Sylacauga; daughters, Vivian Brown of Lawton, Okla., and Tenesa Gilder of Sylacauga; sisters, Barbara Price of Detroit, Mich., and Velma Davison of Silver Springs, Md.; three stepsisters; five stepbrothers; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
Armour's Memorial Funeral Home in Alexander City will direct the service.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Sarah Elizabeth Nelson, 105, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Todd Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery
in Sylacauga.
Mrs. Nelson died March 29. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sylacauga. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hudson Nelson; and her son, George William Nelson.
She is survived by daughter, Marise N. Dockins and son-in-law, George J. Dockins of Fort Myers, Fla.; son, W. Harold Nelson and daughter-in-law, Ava F. Nelson of Birmingham; sisters, Inza Walker of Cropwell and Bernice Sellers of Ramer; granddaughters, Kay Ingle of Lovettsville, Va., Sandra Peters of Fort Myers, Fla., Deborah Delorey of Paxton, Mass., and Sharon Prince of Franklin, Tenn.; grandson, Stephen Nelson of Montgomery; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to First United Methodist Church, 105 East Spring St., Sylacauga, Ala., 35150.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

DELORES LYNN POPHAM
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Delores Lynn (Dottie) Popham, 43, will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Talladega Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jeff Rutledge officiating. Burial will be in Midway Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Popham died March 30 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her father, Harles T. Goodwin. She was a native of Wooster, Ohio, and had lived many years in Talladega. She was a homemaker and attended First Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Popham of Talladega; daughter, Sherry Davey and husband Shan of Talladega; sons, David Popham and wife Cassie of Talladega and Jeff Popham and wife Krisha of Talladega; sister, Debbie Berry of Talladega; brothers, Kenneth Wayne Goodwin, Phillip Goodwin, Thomas Goodwin and Eddie Goodwin of Talladega; her mother, Lou B. Parker of Talladega; grandchildren, Dalton Lee Popham and Trenton Davey, as well as one future grandchild.
Pallbearers will be P.J. Goodwin, Thomas Goodwin, Eddie Goodwin, Phillip Goodwin, Mike Gardner, Michael Fisher, Tony Hickman and Terry Isbell.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 until 9 p.m.

COLUMBIANA — Funeral service for Mable Kidd, 78, will be Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Harpersville with the Rev. Clarence Carter officiating. Burial will be in Baker's Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Kidd died March 31 at her residence. She was a native of Shelby County and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kidd.
She is survived by daughter, Dorothy Cason of Atlanta, Ga.; sister, Ruth L. Threatt of Vincent; brothers, the Rev. Richard C. Fair of Harpersville, Rueben Fair of Atlanta, Ga., and Willie Fair of Childersburg; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

HARPERSVILLE — Funeral service for George Shortridge Jr. will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Baker's Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Theoangelo Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Baker's Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Shortridge died March 27 at his residence. He was a native of Jefferson County, served in the United States Army and was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Jennings; sister, Margie Jennings; and a daughter, Valerie Ann.
He is survived by son, George Silvanies of Detroit, Mich.; daughter, Cassandra Stinson of Detroit, Mich.; brothers, Christopher Bennett of Birmingham, James Jennings of Denver, Co., Samuel Jennings of Harpersville and Curtis Jennings of Cleveland, Ohio; and sisters, Mary L. Harvey of Las Vegas, Nev., and Lula Jones of Birmingham.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Joe L. Threatt will be Saturday at noon at St. John Baptist Church with Pastor Eddie L. King officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Threatt died March 26 at Coosa Valley BMC. He was a native of Talladega County, was a member of St. John Baptist Church and was a graduate of Phyllis Wheatley High School. He was a retired textile worker and was preceded in death by two sisters, Bennie Jean Elston and Marva Joe Groce.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Threatt of Chicago, Ill.; daughters, Constance Oden of Long Beach, Calif., and Cheryl F. Jenning and Joyce Cook of Sylacauga; sons, Dale Oden of Long Beach, Calif., and Ronnie Gillian of Sylacauga; sister, Susie Threatt of Detroit, Mich.; brothers, Thomas Threatt of Sylacauga, Johnny F. Threatt of El Paso, Texas and Lorenzo Threatt of Detroit, Mich.; three aunts; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Janell Jones Tice, 60, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North chapel with the Rev. Harold Hyatt officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Tice died March 31 at her residence. She was a graduate of B.B. Comer High School and Alverson Business College. She was co-owner of Tice Discount Sewing Mart for many years. Her parents owned the Coffee Pot Restaurant in Sylacauga, where she managed the restaurant. She was an accomplished seamstress, was an avid Bible prophecy student and teacher touching many lives with her love of the Lord. She was an employee of Wal-Mart and had a love for flowers and a special love of animals. She was a native of Birmingham.
She is survived by sons, William T. Tice of Sylacauga and Phillip Scott Tice of Marietta, Ga.; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Nichols, Kenny Watson, Scott Smith, Michael Burks, Jason Standifer and Damon Moates.
