SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Charles Franklin Epperson, 71, was Thursday at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North chapel with the Rev. Alan Harvel officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Epperson died Feb. 17 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Epperson of Sylacauga; son, Charles Epperson Jr. of Channohan, Ill.; daughters, Sharon Daily of Sandwich, Ill., Zondra Allen of New Lenox, Ill., and Teresa Potier of New Port, Ill.; brothers, Raymond Epperson of Sycamore and Jessie Epperson of Sylacauga; and sister, Mildred Bearden of Sylacauga.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.
GEORGE W. HAYNES
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for George W. Haynes, 78, will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Talladega Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Oscar Ward officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Haynes died Feb. 19 at Citizens BMC. He was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Haynes. He was a lifelong resident of Talladega County and was a member of the Taylors Grove Church in Talladega. He was a retired textile worker and was retired from Talladega County Road Department.
He is survived by his wife, Mae P. Haynes of Talladega; son, Ellis Haynes of Talladega; and grandchildren, Steven and Philip Haynes.
Pallbearers will be Philip Haynes, Steven Haynes, Glenn Joiner, Larry Forest, William Haynes, Robert Taylor, Leonard Haynes and Gary Haynes.
Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
LITTLEBERRY BARRETT HOWELL
HUNTSVILLE — Graveside service for Littleberry Barrett "L.B." Howell, 79, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Cemetery
in Talladega with Diane Housle officiating.
Mr. Howell died Feb. 18 at Huntsville Hospital. He was a native of Talladega, lived in Birmingham and lived most of his life in Huntsville. He was a member of the Shriners, was retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority and worked with the Space Camp at the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville. He was a 1949 graduate of Auburn University.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Howell of Huntsville; daughter, Leslie Burwell of Scottsdale, Ariz.; sons, David Howell of Harvest and John Howell of Huntsville; sisters, Milton Wallis of Talladega, Frances Williams of Birmingham and Mary Virginia Christopher of Slidell, La.; two grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner's Burn Center or Huntsville Space Camp.

TALLADEGA — Charles E. James, 57, of 206 Sloan Ave., died Feb. 19 at Citizens BMC.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary.
BUNNIE JENKINS
HARTFORD, Conn. — Funeral service for Bunnie Jenkins, 93, formerly of Anniston, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Barfield with the Rev. L.W. Heard officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Jenkins died Feb. 13 at her residence. She had lived in Anniston most of her life and was a member of Washington Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by sons, Willie Lee Jenkins of Lincoln and Jack Neal Jenkins of Anniston; daughters, Ida Mae Walton of Atlanta, Ga., Sarah Young of Sioux City, Iowa, Peggy Jenkins of New Haven, Conn., Lummie Mathews of Anniston and Betty Mathews of Hartford, Conn.; sisters, Agusta Wood of Chicago, Ill., Mary Hall of Chicago, Ill., and Ida Morton of Anniston; 43 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.

CROPWELL — Funeral service for Ruby Ann Layton, 61, will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Layton died Feb. 18. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Pauline Roe and a brother, James Obie Roe. She was a member of Cropwell Baptist Church.
She is survived by sons, Jeff Layton of Cropwell, Clark Layton (Michelle) of Pell City, Paul Layton (Brandy) of Vincent and Lee Layton (Kim) of Vincent; sister, Norma Funderburg of Pell City; brother, Terry Roe (Marie) of Cropwell; sister-in-law, Myrtha Roe of Pell City; grandchildren, Scooter, Tyler and Jessica Layton, Jennifer and Jeremy Layton, Amanda Keene and Chloe Layton; and great-grandchild, Gracie Whitley.
Pallbearers will be Drew Roe, Roy Roe, Shane Roe, Edward Roe, Newt Williamson and Ronnie Lawyer.

ANGELA DAWN NICHOLS
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Angela Dawn Nichols, 29, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Midway Memory Gardens Funeral Home chapel with Brother Wayne Hester officiating. Burial will be in Midway Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Nichols died Feb. 18 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega and was a Pentecostal by faith. She spent her time as a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick Harrison.
She is survived by her husband, John Thomas Nichols; daughter, Lela Brooke Harrison; her mother, Brenda Medley Smith; her father, William Franklin Harrison; brothers, William Franklin Harrison Jr. and Louis Hill; and one niece, Kayla Harrison, all of Talladega.
Pallbearers will be Michael Ray, Curtis Ray, Greg Nichols, Greg Nichols Jr., Walter Taft Jr. and Johnny Barber.
Honorary pallbearer will be Ronnie D. Harrison.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

MARY JEAN RUDOLPH
ANNISTON — Funeral service for Mary Jean Rudolph, 58, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with Elder Julius Cook officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery.
Mrs. Rudolph died Feb. 17 at her residence. She was a Calhoun County resident for most of her life, was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church and had worked at Wessex in Jacksonville.
She is survived by her husband, Sidney Rudolph of Anniston; sons, Darnell McDuffie of Jacksonville and Felix Hardy of Anniston; sisters, Mae Lois Hardy of Anniston, Della Mae Marbor of Goodwater and Tiny Ruth Dunn of Queens, N.Y.; brothers, Freddy Hardy of Anniston and Benny Lee Hardy of New York; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.

GARDENDALE — Graveside service for Lila Maylene Sargent, 72, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery
with Elder Shawn Cordner officiating. Mrs. Sargent died Feb. 18 at Carraway Methodist Medical Center.
She is survived by daughters, Denise Benefield of Gardendale, Shirley Sargent of Alexander City and Chris Newman and husband Ray of Childersburg; sister, Pat Bush of Sylacauga; brothers, Irvin D. Cochran of Goodwater, John (Toby) Cochran of Sylacauga and Tommy Cochran of Sylacauga; and grandchildren, Stephen, Luke and Arid Benefield and Nichole, Dakota and Logan Newman.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
