LEE ROY NOBINGER

BAILEYTON — Funeral service for Lee Roy Nobinger, 69, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Fairview First Baptist Church with Brother David Chambers officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Baptist Cemetery.

Mr. Nobinger died Feb. 11 at his residence. He was formerly of Childersburg.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Jean Nobinger of Baileyton; son, Donnie Nobinger of Cullman; daughters, Gina Nobinger of Birmingham and Teresa Nobinger Shaw of Alabaster; brothers, Koy Nobinger of Cullman, Eugene Nobinger of Falkville, Bill Nobinger of Cullman and Kenneth Nobinger of Baileyton; sisters, Donella Haynes of Falkville, Dovella Gardner of Cullman and Sandra Kelly of Cullman; three grandchildren; and other relatives.

The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home in Cullman will direct the service.

BIRMINGHAM — A.E. Stacey died Feb. 12 at his residence.

ANNISTON — Gussie M. Teague, 65, died Feb. 12 at Regional Medical Center.

HEFLIN — A.C. Westbrooks, 71, died Feb. 11 at Beverly Health Care in Oxford.

LESLIE RAY BRYANT

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Leslie Ray Bryant, 44, of Sylacauga will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Skipworth officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Mt. Baptist Cemetery in Clay County.

Mr. Bryant died Feb. 12.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hubbard Bryant.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Bryant of Sylacauga; two sisters, Mitzi Carroll of Douglasville, Ga., and Myra Beard of Montgomery; three brothers, Mark Bryant of Harvest and Frank and Joel Bryant both of Sylacauga; two sons, Jeremy Bryant of Sylacauga and Bradley Bryant of Montgomery; three daughters, Gabrielle Bryant of New York, Ashley Beasley of Sylacauga and Nicole Bryant of Childersburg; and nine nieces and nephews.

Radney-Smith Funeral Home will direct the service.

ANNISTON — Johnny Bynum Sr., 54, of Anniston died Feb. 13 in Anniston.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Ervin Funeral Chapel.

HERMAN CROSS JR.

OCALA, Fla. — Funeral service for Herman Cross Jr., 53, of Ocala, Fla., will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Sweet Home Baptist Church in Silver Run with the Rev. Billy Ray Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in LaBason Cemetery in Silver Run.

Mr. Cross died Feb. 9 at Monroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala. A former resident of Alabama, he was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church and an employee of Southern Tools and U.S. Pipe.

He is survived by his wife, Evalena Cross of Silver Run; three sons, Herman Cross of Anniston, Maurice Cross of Silver Run and Samuel Cross of Ocala; four daughters, Sharon Cross of Anniston, Evon Cross of Silver Run, Brenda Whitson of Anniston and Rene Allen of Anniston; four sisters, Geneva Ball of Anniston, Gloria Welch of Bynum, and Monica and Vonda Cross of Texas; one brother, Johnny Cross of Grayson, Ga.; eight grandchildren; and devoted friend Alice Brown.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.

Anniston Funeral Service will direct the service.

WILLIAM TEDDY EPPERSON

DOTHAN — Funeral service for William Teddy Epperson, 69, of 1916 Charlton Drive, Dothan, was Thursday in the chapel of Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home in Dothan with the Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial was in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Kinsey.

Mr. Epperson died Feb. 9 at his residence. A native of Talladega, he retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of service. He lived in the Dothan area for 36 years, where he worked as a finance manager in automotive sales. He was a member of Enron Church of Christ and the Masonic Lodge of Ada, Okla. He was preceded in death by his wife, Monie Ridley Epperson; his father, William H. Epperson; and two brothers, Harold Earl Epperson and Henry Odell Epperson.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Cora Lee Dobbs McSheridan and Arnold McSheridan of Sylacauga; one daughter, Teresa E. Thompson of Dothan; one son, William Jeffrey Epperson of Webb; one sister, Virginia Epperson Cliette of Bessemer; three brothers, Charles Raymond Epperson and David Wayne Epperson, both of Sylacauga, and Elbert Douglas Epperson of Jasper; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Dan Thompson, Bobby Roney, Tim Smith, Blake Epperson, Bobby Deese and Warren Thompson.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Wiregrass Hospice, Inc., P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Al., 36302.

Kent-Thornton Meadows Funeral Home directed the service.

ANDREW L. GOLDER

PELL CITY — Memorial service for Andrew L. "Dick" Golder, 81, of Talladega, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Simon Peter Episcopal Church in Pell City with the Rev. Van Foreman officiating.

Mr. Golder died Feb. 4 at Talladega Health Care. A native of Carmel, N.Y., he lived in Danbury and New Milford, Conn., until 1991, when he and his wife moved to Talladega. He attended Danbury schools and was a former member of both the Danbury Drum Corps and the Connecticut Rebels. He and his wife were also enthusiastic fans of SNYRA, where he and his wife always sat in the same seats for all racing events.

He served in the Quartermaster Corps of the U.S. Army in the European Theater of Operations during World War II. In retirement, he worked part-time at M&B Market IGA in New Milford, and was an avid gardener. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew James and Iretta (Smith) Golder, and his brothers Norman and Curtiss Golder.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Birkhahn; his son Darrel Golder; his daughter, Terry Wilson; two sisters, Blanch Durant of Aiken S.C. and Margorie Davis of New Milford; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 372 Danbury Road, Wildton, Ct., 06897 or Suite 201, 100 Ireland Way, Birmingham, Al., 35205.

Kilgroe Funeral Home of Pell City will direct the service.

ANNISTON — Bunnie Jenkins, 93, of Hartford, Conn., formerly of Anniston, died Feb. 13 at her residence.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Anniston Funeral Services.

EVERLENA TURNER JONES

LINCOLN — Everlena Turner Jones, 80, of Lincoln died Feb. 13 at Baptist Citizens Hospital in Talladega.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Goodson Funeral Home.

EDWARD KIRBY

ANNISTON — Edward Kirby, 78, of Anniston, died Feb. 12 at his residence.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Anniston Funeral Services.

RUDOLPH S. MORRIS

SILVER SPRINGS, Fla. — Funeral service for Rudolph S. Morris, 76, of Silver Springs, Fla., will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Homes Bruce Chapel East in Ocala, Fla. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Morris died Feb. 12 at his residence. A native of Talladega, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He later settled in Miami before moving to Silver Springs in 1984. He was a member of the VFW, Eagles Lodge No. 3656 and the Moose, all of Ocala.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Morris, and a sister, Cherry Morris.

He is survived by four daughters, Paula A. Piffer of Silver Springs, Patricia F. Peterson of Memphis, Phyllis G. Farrow of Ocala and Pamela M. Ramirez of South Miami; three sons, Perry L Morris of Memphis, Ronald L. Morris of Silver Springs and Donald G. Morris of Ocala; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home Bruce Chapel East.
