Grimes
CENTRE
Services for Mr. Luther D. Grimes, 78, of Centre, will be today at 2 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with Shane Clark officiating. The family will receive friends 12-2 p.m. today.
Mr. Grimes died Sunday at Cherokee Baptist Medical Centre.
Survivors include four brothers, J.R. Grimes and his wife Audrey, Calvin Grimes and his wife Charlotte, Curtis Grimes and his wife Virginia, and James Grimes and his wife Charlotte, all of Centre; three sisters, Otilla Maria Wohl of San Marino, Calif., Ophelia Campbell and her husband Tony, of Rossville, Ga., and Lola Mae Mitchell and her husband Mike, of Trion, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Marty Wilson, Seth Wilson, Keith Clevenger, Boots Maddox, Chuck Grimes, Keith Wood, Stecy Wood and Jeff Clevenger.
Mr. Grimes, a native of Cleburne County, was a retired production worker and was a member of Highway 9 Church of Christ. He was the son of the late Chester and Mable Harper Grimes, and was a veteran of World War II.
Hopper
TRUSSVILLE
Graveside services for Mildred M. Hopper, 73, of Trussville will be Tuesday at noon at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East with Zelma Patillo officiating. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. today at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hopper died Saturday at her home.
Survivors include three daughters, Janie H. Pontero and Connie H. Brown and her husband Wade, all of Trussville, and William F. Hopper Jr. and his wife Kathy, of Anniston; and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Hopper was a member of First United Methodist Church of Anniston.
Lovvorn
ALEXANDRIA
Services for William Clyde Lovvorn, 74, of Alexandria, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary Chapel with Revs. Bruce White and Theron Williams officiating. Burial will be in Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Lovvorn died Sunday at his home.
Survivors include his wife Jane Lovvorn of Alexandria; two daughters, Wanda Pitts and her husband David, of Alexandria, and Agnes Calhoun and her husband Danny, of Whitesburg, Ga.; two stepdaughters, Pam Hill and Paula Pierce, both of Anniston; a son, Randy Lovvorn of Oxford; a stepson, Lee Pierce and his wife Mendy, of Huntsville; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Robinson, Russell Young, Barry Daniel, Melvin Ginn, Lee Pierce and Mike Burdett.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Lovvorn attended St. Michael’s Episcopal Church and was a past master of the Masonic Lodge, at Alexandria Lodge No. 208. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary and two sisters, Hixie Gosdin and Sarah Goddard.
The family will accept flowers, or memorial contributions may be made to the St. Michael’s Community Center, 1005 W. 18th St., Anniston, AL 36201.

OHATCHEE
Private graveside services for infant Brady Jackson Lumpkin, of Ohatchee, were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Forestlawn Gardens Cemetery
with Rev. Krameon Martin officiating and Miller Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
The infant died Jan. 30 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham.
Survivors include his parents, Jeff and Lisa Lumpkin of Ohatchee, his grandparents Gary and Connie Sanford of Jacksonville and Doug and Pam Lumpkin of Moody.
Sellers

Services for Eunice Henderson Mintz Sellers, 95, of Oxford, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sellers died Sunday at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Spradlin
WOODLAND
Services for Ila M. Spradlin, 92, of Woodland, will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church with Revs. David Daniel and Cecil Halsey officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-8 tonight at Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee, and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Spradlin died Saturday at Carrollton Manor, Inc.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Mack Spradlin and his wife Ann, of Lavonia, Ga., and Gary C. Spradlin and his wife Shelia, of Ranburne; five grandchildren, Ron Spradlin, Mandy Ferguson, Tammy Conn, Sharon Harding and Casey Spradlin; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Spradlin, Casey Spradlin, Ron Spradlin, Dean Conn, Lane Ferguson and Dave Harding.
Mrs. Spradlin was a native of Randolph County. She was the daughter of James Walker McDow and Mae Fincher McDow and was a retired elementary school teacher from Randolph County Schools. She was a member of the Retired Teachers’ Association, the Auburn Alumni Association, Delta Kappa Gamma and Providence Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Kermit Spradlin and two sisters, Onyce Daniel and Ruby Holcomb.

Services for Roy W. Wright Jr., 60, of Oxford, will be today at 2 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Forestlawn Gardens.
Mr. Wright died Friday at Regional Medical in Anniston.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Wright of Oxford; two daughters, Traci Street and her husband Chip, of Hoover, Alanna Orrill and her husband Brian, of Edwall, Wash.; his mother, Ruby Wright of Huntsville; a sister, Margaret Billingsley of Guntersville; a brother, Bobby Wright of Huntsville; and three grandchildren, Ashlyn Street, Skylar Street and Shanlyn Orrill; and a niece, Deborah Cornelius.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Howell, Jackie McDaniel, Joey Parker, Larry Maddox, John Jewell, Ricky Noell and John Martin.
Mr. Wright was a resident of Oxford for most of his life and was retired from the Anniston Army Depot. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Anniston.

Services for Jeremiah Ray Baker, 2, of Montgomery will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home chapel in Wedowee with Rev. Doug Baker and Sister Yataisha Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today beginning at 5 p.m.
The child died Sunday at Father Walter Memorial Child Care Center in Montgomery.
Survivors include his parents, Troy J. Baker Sr. and Wanda Mae Anglin of Montgomery; three sisters, Nona Baker of Newell, Teresa Baker of Lineville, and Ethel Jones of Cleburne County; a brother, J.W. Baker Jr. of Wedowee; his grandparents, Jimmy and Julia Jernigan; two great-grandmothers, Alice Duke and Jean Jernigan; and several aunts, an uncle and several cousins.
The child was born in Roanoke. He was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Troy Baker; and a grandfather, Dennis Brown.
Burk

Graveside services for William O’Neal Burk, 73, of Talladega will be today at 1 p.m. at Pine Hill Mausoleum with Rev. Ricky Ruston officiating and Usrey Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Burk died Sunday at Health South Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Betty H. Burk; a daughter, Janet B. Hill of Talladega; a son, Jack O. Burk of Talladega; two brothers, Chester Burk and Lester Burk, both of Talladega; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Burk, Mike Burk, Tori Burk, Timmy Burk, David Gaither, George Mize, Ross Goolsby, John Robertson and Charles Henderson.
Mr. Burk, a Talladega County native and lifelong resident, was Methodist. A
Korean War Navy veteran, he worked for Barber Sales for 25 years and owned and operated Handy Coroner U.S.A. He was a member of the American Legion.
Flowers will be accepted, or contributions may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Cortez

Memorial services for Joyce Mae Cortez, 42, of Weaver will be Thursday at 2 p.m. EST at Jameson Care Center at 3349 Wilmington Road, New Castle, Pa., with Pastor Cliff Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery
in Ellwood City, Penn. Brown & Kughn Memory Chapel in Anniston handled local arrangements.
Mrs. Cortez died Friday in Weaver.

Services for Herman Cross Sr., 53, of Ocala, Fla., will be announced by Anniston Funeral Services.
Mr. Cross died Monday at Monroe Hospital in Ocala.

Services for Mattie Lou Heath Denney, 92, of Ashland will be today at 2 p.m. at Old Providence Baptist Church with Pastors Bill Brown, Keith Jones and Jared Harris officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home of Ashland today until service time.
Mrs. Denney died Sunday at her home.
Survivors include her husband, Thurman Pellom Denney; three daughters, Mary Lou Brewer, Joyce Harris and Janice Waldrop, all of Ashland; a son, Perry Wayne Denney of Odenville; two sisters, Ruth Royals of Goodwater and Catherine Miller of Vincent; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Harris, Jared Harris, Lamar Ingram, Carl Smith, Joe Jordan, Phil Jones and James Loyle Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be home health nurses and aides and Hospice of Clay County.
Mrs. Denney, a Troup County, Ga., native, had lived most of her life in Clay County. She was a member of Old Providence Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a son, James Pellom Denney; and a grandson, Terry Wayne Denney.
