HOUMA, La. — Memorial service for Paul Allen Roberts Sr. will be announced at a later date.
Mr. Roberts died Dec. 13 at Terrebone Hospital in Houma, La. He was preceded in death by his father, R.C. Roberts.
He is survived by son, Paul Allen Roberts Jr. of Burden, Kan.; daughters, Michelle Sims and Adrianne Milam of Pell City; his mother, Hazel Birch of Terre Haute, Ind.; sister, Mary Ann Pitts of Terre Haute, Ind.; brother, Jerry Roberts; and seven grandchildren.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Noah Bryant, 83, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Rocky Mount Baptist Church with the Rev. Milton Green and the Rev. Chuck Cummings officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Mount Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Bryant died Dec. 16 at his residence. He was a native of Talladega County and was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Luney Belle Bryant of Sylacauga; son, Noah Douglas Bryant of Sylacauga; daughters, Linda Bryant Wheeler of Hanover and Gail Bryant Pruitt of Sylacauga; brother, Calvin Bryant of Sylacauga; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Barry Bryant, Wade Pruitt, Johnny Guy, Neal Nappier, Chip King and Jerry Bryant.
Great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home South Chapel will direct the service.

LINCOLN — Funeral service for Flora M. Freeman, 80, will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with Brother Finley Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
Mrs. Freeman died Dec. 16. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Freeman.
She is survived by daughters, Dixie Lee Rose of Flat Top, West Va., Linda Jean Craemer of Bruce, Wisc., and Mary Elaine Goodwin of Pell City; son, Richard David Freeman of Lincoln; sister, Gloria Jean Bolton of Brentwood, Tenn.; grandchildren, Thomas, Michael and Mathew Goodwin, Kyle, Kent, Benjamin, Brian and Danny Craemer and Dixie Freeman; and great-grandchildren, Ty Goodwin and Ashlyn Sims.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:30 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Goodwin, Michael Goodwin, Matthew Goodwin, David Goodwin, Rex Rose and Richard Freeman.

ANNISTON — Graveside service for Willie Taylor, 101, will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Talladega Memorial Gardens with the Rev. W.J. Posey officiating.
Mrs. Taylor died Dec. 16 at Lineville Nursing Home. She is survived by one niece, Mary Walker of Talladega; and a host of other relatives.

MARY ALICE GARRETT CURRY
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Mary Alice Garrett Curry, 90, of 339 Milan Road, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Freedom Holy Ghost Headquarter Mission with Bishop Joseph Twymon and the Rev. Lo-Noah Ealy officiating. Burial will be in Morning Star Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Curry died Dec. 15 at Citizens BMC. She was a lifelong member of Morning Star Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Max Garrett and Lacey White Garrett; a daughter, Crissy Nell Curry; a son, Carson Curry; six sisters; and four brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Otis Curry of Talladega; daughters, Airlene Jackson of Dayton, Ohio, Essie Mae Looney of Gadsden and Mattie C. Taylor of Talladega; son, Reedie J. Curry of Dayton, Ohio; 28 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

CHILDERSBURG — Funeral service for Gussie Morris Garrett, 90, of 11235 Grist Mill Road, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Kingston Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Cornelius Brown III and the Rev. Willie Frazier officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Garrett died Dec. 13 at her residence. She attended Nottingham School and was a lifelong member of Kingston Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Garrett Sr.; daughter, Lillie Garrett; two sons, J.C. Garrett Jr. and Deloyd Morris; two sisters, Hannah Swain and Lillie Bell Lawler; and five brothers, McKaray Morris, Johnny C. Morris, Homer Morris, Sam Morris and Frank Morris.
She is survived by daughters, Eula V. Ashley and Ruby Timmons of Childersburg and Josephine Jackson of Detroit, Mich.; sons, Jasper Morris of Dayton, Ohio and Eddie Garrett of Detroit, Mich.; sister, Margie Keith of Alpine; 20 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be LaMarcus Swain, Carlos Swain, Jimmy Garrett and Devon Garrett.

JIMMIE L. McKENZIE
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Jimmie L. McKenzie, 56, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Shady Grove United Methodist Church in Hanover with the Rev. Shirleen Harvey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. McKenzie died Dec. 12 at Goodwater Nursing Home. He was a native of Coosa County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Essie and Lillie B. McKenzie. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Shady Grove United Methodist Church, where he remained a member until his death. He used to sing with the Marble City Singers.
He is survived by brothers, Essie McKenzie Jr. of Mt. Laurel, N.J., Booker T. McKenzie of Childersburg and Larry McKenzie of Sylacauga; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Marble City Singers will serve as pallbearers.
Friends of the family will serve as flowerbearers.

ROBERT JOHN SANDERSON
Robert John Sanderson, 57, passed away suddenly on December 16, 2003. "Sandy" Sanderson was a retired Navy Commander with 20 years honorable service. He flew 135 combat missions with over 100 in Vietnam in 1972 and was awarded 18 individual combat awards and the Presidential Unit Citation. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Sanderson of Alpine; sons, Jason Sanderson of Corpus Christi, TX and Robert Sanderson of Gulfport, MS; brother, Steven Sanderson and sister-in-law Rosalie of New York City, NY; sister, Mary Sanderson of Ashland, OH; step-mother, Willa Sanderson; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Helen and Jerald W. Davison Sr.; and sister-in-law, Carole Prentice, as well as the many members of the Davison and Prentice families.
Friends and loved ones are welcome to join in honoring his life on Monday, December 22, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Pell City. He will be buried at sea, with traditional Naval honors, off of the coast of Norfolk, Va.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Fred (Sonny) Woods Jr., 59, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Roosevelt Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery
in Sylacauga.
Mr. Woods died Dec. 13 at University Hospital in Birmingham. He was a deacon at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and was a member of the choir. He was a 1963 graduate of Phyllis Wheatley High School in Childersburg. He was a former employee of Avondale Mills and was currently employed at Bowater in Childersburg. He sang with the St. Thomas Gospel Five and the Marble City Singers.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Bell Woods of Sylacauga; daughter, Lauren Geneva Woods of Sylacauga; sisters, Louise Moten and Catherine Scott of Sylacauga; brother, Jimmy Woods of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a host of other relatives.
The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home from noon until 9 p.m.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearer will be Deunta Wilson.
Friends of the family will serve as flowerbearers.
