ARAB Audrey A. Cullins, 29, formerly of Talladega, died Dec. 12 in Arab.

TALLADEGA Funeral service for A.J. Fain Sr., 73, will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Midway Memory Gardens Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Haywood officiating. Burial will be in Midway Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Fain died Dec. 12 at Citizens Baptist Medical Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County and was a Baptist by faith. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lula, and a brother, Harold J. Fain.
He is survived by his wife, Hattie Marie Fain of Talladega; two daughters, Linda Williams of Eastaboga and Sherry Matthews of Hampton, Ga.; one son, A.J. Fain Jr.; two sisters, Mattie of California and Betty of Tennessee; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Larry Matthews, Jerry Williams, DeWayne Williams, Jeffery Smith, John Brewer III and Roger Smith.
Honorary pallbearer will be Ronnie Guy.
Midway Memory Gardens Funeral Home will direct the service.

CHILDERSBURG Funeral service for Mollie Bussey Fannin, 94, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Battles and the Rev. Davis Acker officiating. Burial will be in Lanines Cemetery.
Mrs. Fannin died Dec. 12 at Coosa Valley Baptist Medical Center in Sylacauga. She was a native of Cleburne County but lived in Talladega County most of her life. She was a member of Cartersville Baptist Church, a homemaker and loving mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Draper Fannin, one daughter, Dorothy Fannin, two sons, Curtis Fannin and Larry Fannin and a grandson, David Armbrester.
She is survived by four daughters, Mollie Jo Holaway of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Mary Caldwell of Alpine, Betty Armbrester of Sylacauga and Doris Acker of Childersburg; one son, Lowell Fannin of Alpine; one sister, Ella Fuller of Munford; 25 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Tony Fannin, Lowell Fannin Jr., Dwight Fannin, Andrew Armbrester, David Jacobs and Brandon Nix.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mickey Johnson, Bobby Fuller, Paul Bussey, Cary Fannin, John Allen, Dixon Fuller, Spurgeon Bussey, Kenneth Armbrester Jr., George Allen, John Bussey and Hank Fannin.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

GOODWATER Funeral service for George E. Gaddis Sr., 81, will be Tuesday at Armour Memorial Chapel at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Macedonia Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Gaddis died Dec. 12 at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Gaddis of Goodwater; two daughters, Helen Gaddis Williams of Goodwater and Sue E. Ford of Chicago, Ill.; five sons, George E. (Mary) Gaddis Jr., of Chicago, Ill., James Henry Gaddis and Gregg Gaddis, both of Goodwater, Cuella Gaddis of Sylacauga and Terrell Gaddis of Rockford; one sister, Edna Anderson of Alexander City; two brothers, Robert Gaddis and Lloyd Gaddis, both of Dayton, Ohio; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

LINEVILLE Funeral service for Mary Glen Higgins, 71, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Christiana Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Adams and the Rev. Kenneth Higgins officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Higgins died Dec. 12 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County. She had been employed at Southland Manufacturing in Ashland and was a member of Christiana Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Solon Higgins, a son, Randy Higgins, her parents, Grady and Mae Griffin Taylor, two brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Johnson (Larry) and Patsy Phillips, both of Lineville and Rita Adams (Ronnie) of Delta; two sons, Jimmy Ray Higgins (Joann) and Rev. Kenneth Higgins (Theresa), both of Lineville; four sisters, Marcella Waters, Eloise Welch and Gwen Irvin, all of Lineville and Deloise Bible of Duluth, Ga.; one brother, Novice Taylor of Atlanta, Ga., 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shane Adams, Kevin Adams, Christian Higgins, Joey Higgins, Cody Higgins, Tommy Denson, Timmy Denson, and Matthew Phillips.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. and Monday until 1:15 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home.

ANNISTON William R. Johnson, 71, died Dec. 12 at Regional Medical Center in Anniston.

SYLACAUGA Funeral service for Gene (Dalt) Jones, 59, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Curtis and Son North Chapel with the Rev. Todd Reaves officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Jones died Dec. 12. He was a native of Sylacauga and graduated from Sylacauga High School. He worked at Avondale Mills for 25 years and at Wal-Mart in the meat department.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jones of Sylacauga; one son, Glenn Kalton Jones of Opelika; and one sister, Martha Paul Jones Bice of Phenix City.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Bassett, Hub Bates, Harold Brooks, Hal Hanan, Howard Hill, Bill Sanders, Bill Stewart, Mark Tapley and Cisco King.
Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons from Mignon Baptist Church.

Mr. Overton died Dec. 13.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Overton of Double Springs; two daughters, Brookie Pulliam of Haleyville and Debra Carpenter of Double Springs; one son, Dyron Overton of Talladega; one sister, Irene Whatley of Columbus, Ga.; one brother Marvin Overton of Lanett; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

LINEVILLE Funeral service for Irma Smith Sparks, 96, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Zenus Windsor and Rev. Jerry Colquett officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Sparks died Dec. 12 at Clay County Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County and had been employed as a lunchroom worker at the Cragford School for a number of years. She was also a nurses aide at the Lineville Nursing Facility for more than 12 years. She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.
She is survived by four daughters, Annie Sue Woodruff, Mae Loveless and Helen Amason, all of Lineville and Faye Motley of Daviston; one son, Hilt Sparks of Lineville; one sister, Lassie Sparks of Lineville; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Danny Loveless, Doyle Loveless, Dale Loveless, Michael Amason, Rodney Sparks, David Sparks and Buddy Sparks.

SYLACAUGA Funeral service for Evelyn Pauline Brown Thompson, 87, will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel with the Rev. Bill Lutz and the Rev. Michael Rippy officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson died Dec. 13. She lived in Sylacauga most of her life and attended First Assembly of God in Sylacauga. She worked in the Sylacauga School System in the lunchroom. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Thompson.
She is survived by three daughters, Bobbie Jean Danford (Pete) and Evelyn Jannet Askins (Frank), both of Birmingham and Betty Jo Morgan (Luther) of Montgomery; one sister, Mary Sue Smith of Mt. Olive; two brothers, Floyd W. Brown and Hoyt Brown, both of Anniston; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
