SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Jeffrey Jay Jeffrey, 31, of Weogufka will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Freddie Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Stewartville Church of God Cemetery.
Mr. Jeffrey died Dec. 5 at Coosa Valley Baptist Medical Center in Sylacauga.
He is survived by one son, David Forbus of Sylacauga; one daughter, Debra Forbus of Sylacauga; his mother, Debra S. Gable of Sylacauga; his father, Thomas Eugene; one brother, Thomas Gable Jr.; four sisters, April Gable and Dana Stewart of Sylacauga, Tina Cryer of Childersburg and Kelley Cleveland of Sylacauga; grandfather Robert Carver of Weogufka; grandmother, Robbie Murray of Sylacauga; one uncle, Sean Carver of Sylacauga; three aunts, Brenda Lunceford of Titus, Teresa Jane Burnett of Fayetteville and Marshell Champion of Montevallo; best friend and cousin, Dexter Ogle of Stewartville; one nephew and several cousins
Pallbearers will be David Kelley, Timmy Mitchell, Mike Holland, Jason Bearden, Clayton White and Thomas Gable Jr.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Radney-Smith Funeral Home will direct the service.

TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Lela H. Medley, 74, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Midway Memory Gardens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Cliff Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow in Midway Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Medley died Dec. 5 at Citizens Baptist Medical Center. She was a native of Talladega, where she lived most of her life. She was retired from Georgia Pacific and had attended Liberty Christian Fellowship in the past. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert W. Medley; two daughters, Robbie Laverne Medley and Sheila Jo Medley; and one son, Robert Wayne Medley.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Smith of Talladega; one brother, Aubrey Hayes of Talladega; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Buck Harrison, John Nichols, Lewis Hill, Junior Medley, Curtis Ray and Michael Ray.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Midway Memory Gardens Funeral Home will direct the service.

JOHN BYRD BRADFORD
SYLACAUGA — Graveside service for Johnny Byrd Bradford, 72, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery
in Sylacauga with Willard Camp and L.C. McMurphy officiating.
Mr. Bradford died Dec. 8 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Bradford; his mother, Eunice Conway Bradford; and brothers, Marvin (Buddy) Bradford Jr. and Gerald Wayne Headley. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, where he received a citation for bravery. He was a member of the 2nd Division Infantry Communications Team. He laid vital communication wires that had been destroyed by the enemy under heavy fire and rain soaked conditions. This took place in 1952 in the battle for "Old Baldy" Mountain in Korea. He will be remembered by his family for his sense of humor and his love for day lilies and music.
He is survived by friend, Harley Emmons of Sylacauga; brothers, Charles Bradford of Arcadia, Calif., Tim Bradford and Ken Bradford of Sylacauga, Larry Bradford of Mulberry, Fla., and Jimmy Bradford of Wildwood, Fla.; sisters, Evadine Jones of Sylacauga, Edna Camp of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Betty Perry, Nelda Vogel and Judy McMurphy of Sylacauga; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews, who lovingly nicknamed him "Uncle Johnny Bluebird."
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes. Association or to the Boys Club of Sylacauga.

BESSIE LOUELLA SHEARS BRYANT
ANNISTON — Funeral service for Bessie Louella Shears Bryant, 75, was Monday at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Snow officiating. Burial was in Anniston Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Bryant died Dec. 6 at Regional Medical Center in Anniston. She was a native of Calhoun County and had lived in Blue Mountain much of her life. She was a rose gardener. She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Lula Mae Shears.
She is survived by her husband, George W. Bryant Jr.; sister, Flora Padgett of Anniston; brothers, Samuel Shears of Anniston and David Shears of Lincoln; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Raymond Padgett, Barry Shears, Keith Shears, Dennis Shears, Dale Shears, Danny Shears, Dwayne Shears and Michael Bryant.
Anniston Memorial Funeral Home directed the service.

PELL CITY — Funeral service for Bethany Hughston Burrell, 23, was Sunday at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Leeds.
Mrs. Burrell died Dec. 5.
She is survived by her husband, Scotty Burrell; son, Blaine Burrell; her parents, Larry and Sandra Hughston; sister, Susan DeGeorge; and grandmother, Willine Hughston.

ASHLAND — Funeral service for Charles B. Griffin, 62, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home chapel in Ashland with the Rev. Curtis Watts and Richard East officiating. Burial will be in Ashland City Cemetery.
Mr. Griffin died Dec. 7 at Clay County Hospital. He was a native of Clay County, where he had lived most of his life, and had lived in Michigan for a time. He was a retired farmer and a Baptist by faith.
He is survived by son, Charles Junior Griffin of Bangor, Mich.; sisters, Cathrine Freeman of Cragford and Katie M. Griffin of Lineville; brothers, Harriel Griffin of South Haven, Mich., James E. Griffin of Munford, Johnny Griffin of Ashland, Hurley D. Griffin of Apopka, Fla., and Herbert Griffin of Ashland; stepmother, Edna Griffin of Lineville; stepsister, Wanda Blankenship of Lineville; one half sister; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steve Butrum, Johnny Griffin Jr., David Griffin, Leslie Harris, George Harris and Bill Suggs.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:30 until 8 p.m. and until service time Wednesday.

Mr. McClellan died Dec. 7 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County and was a Baptist by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly McClellan of Lincoln; daughters, Renee McClellan of Lincoln, Patricia Bocart of Arizona and Jodi Eastburn of Michigan; sons, Shawn McClellan of Ohatchee, Ken Reed of Talladega, Roger McClellan of Arizona and Joseph McClellan of Arizona; sister, Tommie Grier of Oxford; brothers, James McClellan of Cedartown, Ga., and Bobby McClellan of Jackson, Miss.; and eight grandchildren.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Robert Lowell (Bob) Sherrill, 75, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North chapel with the Rev. Don Evans officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Sherrill died Dec. 7 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair. He was a member and deacon of Newsite Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army in the occupation and Japan. He was preceded in death by his father, Milton F. Sherrill; his mother, Leila Sherrill; and brothers, Jimmy Sherrill, Clyde Sherrill and Milton Sherrill.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lorene Sherrill of Sylacauga; sons, Robert Michael Sherrill and wife Paula of Jackson, Tenn., and James (Rob) Sherrill and wife Karen of Greer, S.C.; daughter, Dotha Cunningham and husband Phillip Wayne of Huntsville; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Carrie Lee Armbrester of Huntsville; brother, Gene Sherrill of Alpine; and sister-in-law, Annie Sherrill of Alpine.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home
