MICHAEL LEE BURNS JR.
MUNFORD — Funeral service for Michael Lee Burns Jr., 2 1/2 months, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Midway Memory Gardens Funeral Home chapel with Brother Harvey Bowlin Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Midway Memory Gardens Cemetery.
The infant died Nov. 28 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Tommy Robert Black Sr.
He is survived by his parents, Michael Lee Burns Sr. and Misty Ann Black of Munford; sisters, Jennifer Burns and Christian Burns of Clay County; grandparents, Sandra Black of Munford, Linda Ogles of Oxford, Robert Burns Sr. of Georgia and Kenneth Ogles of Talladega.
Pallbearers will be Michael Lancaster and Benny Ogles.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Midway Memory Gardens Funeral Home will direct the service.
FRANKLIN THRASH
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Franklin "BoJack" Thrash, 69, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Jimmy Dale Abrams and the Rev. Wayne McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in Tallasahatchie Cemetery
in Alpine.
Mr. Thrash died Dec. 1 at his residence. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the
Korean War. He loved bowling and fishing. He retired from Uniroyal Tire in Opelika after some 35 years of service.
He is survived by sons, Ronnie Thrash and wife Billie Jo Thrash of Sylacauga, Thomas W. Thrash and wife Sharon Thrash of Sylacauga, Phillip B. Thrash and wife Maxine Thrash of Childersburg and Douglas S. Thrash and wife Lisa Thrash of Sylacauga; daughter, Becky J. Stacey and husband David PeeWee Stacey of Sylacauga; brothers, Samuel David Thrash Jr. of Picayune, Miss., James (Pete) Thrash of Sylacauga and Billy Joe Thrash of Sylacauga; sisters, Violet Sims and Wilma Gilliland of Sylacauga; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Tim Curtis, Jake Thrash, Chase Thrash, Chad Benefield, Terrance McIntyre and Andy Thrash.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Lyle Burton Aarhus, 84, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Cosby and the Rev. Sonny Champion officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Aarhus died Dec. 1 at Coosa Valley BMC. He was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church and was retired from Kimberly Clark. He was a veteran of the Army during World War II and received the Bronze Battle Star in the Aleutians Islands Campaign. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lars and Britha Aarhus; brothers, Robert and David G. Aarhus; and sister, Lillian Bussma.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Lavene Aarhus of Sylacauga; son, Anthony (Tony) Lars Aarhus and wife Cheresa of Sylacauga; brother, Olav Aarhus and wife Betty of Sherwood, North Dakota; sisters, Solveig Barnett of Childersburg, Junice Holte and husband Olaf of Newburg, Ore., and Evelyn McIntyre and husband Mac of Coos Bay, Ore.; grandchildren, Kevin E. Sargent and wife April, Craig Aarhus and Anthony Lyle Aarhus and wife Jeanna; and great-grandchild, Kylie Nicole Sargent.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:30 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The body may be viewed Thursday from 10:30 until 11 a.m. at the church.
Pallbearers will be Kevin E. Sargent, Anthony Lyle Aarhus, Alan Barnett, Don Pruitt, Greg Bassett and Richard Gill.

SPRINGVILLE — Funeral service for Jack Cameron Cohron, 62, will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Tom Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in Valley Hill Memorial.
Mr. Cohron died Dec. 2. He was a self-employed furniture dealer who did business with R.P. McDavid Company for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Worthy Cohron of Springville; brother, Ucal (Red) Cohron of Greenville, S.C.; sons, Terry Cohron (Jennifer) of Pell City, Randy Cohron (Lisa) of Springville, Scott Castleberry (Susan) of Vestavia and Stephen Castleberry (Jennifer) of Trussville; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

PELL CITY — Funeral service for Alma B. Qualls, 91, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Dale Foote officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Mrs. Qualls died Dec. 1. She was preceded in death by a sister, Velma Lee.
She is survived by daughter, Nettie Lou Adams; brothers, Archie Foote, Ingram C. Foote and Wayne Foote; sisters, Emma Singleterry, Sarah Bynum, Margie Dean Goss and Jean Hoyle; grandchildren, Bobby Eugene Adams, Cynthia Jane Simmons, Wendy Gail Adams, Phillip Andrew Adams and Robin Joseph Adams; and great-grandchildren, Bradley Andrew Simmons, Emily Page Simmons, Brett Brady, Caleb Wade Adams and Gibson Adams.

SARAH LOUISE WIDEMAN
WINTERBORO — Funeral service for Sarah Louise Wideman, 66, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel of Talladega. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Wideman died Dec. 2 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair in Birmingham. She was a native of Shelby County and lived in Talladega most of her life. She was a member of Plainview Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Wideman of Winterboro; daughter, Diane Fitzpatrick of Anniston; sons, Billy Joe Wideman, Danny Wideman and Steve Wideman of Talladega; sister, Lavada Waley of Alabaster; brother, Junior Lucas of Bessemer; her father, Leonard Lucas of Pelham; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Members of the Talladega Rescue Squad will serve as pallbearers.
Glenn Fitzpatrick will be honorary pallbearer.
