Virginia Lee Cannon Champeaux, a former food services manager, died Monday at a nursing facility in Butler. She was 81.
She was a native of Virginia and a resident of Butler.
Survivors include one daughter, Natalie Champeaux Aldridge of Butler; one brother, Carl W. Cannon of Washington state; one sister, Catherine Schnell of Biloxi; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. service at Bumpers Funeral Home in Butler. Burial will be in Butler City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Butler Building Fund, P.O. Box 300, Butler, AL 36904.

Oliver Nettles, a retired construction worker, died Saturday at an area hospital. He was 82.
Nettles was a native and resident of Calvert.
Survivors include five daughters, Juanita Crenshaw and Jacqueline Nettles, both of Mobile, Marsha Dennis of Bucks, Winfred Adams of Clanton, Ala., and Hope Chapman of Citronelle; two sons, Reginald Nettles and Juan Nettles, both of Calvert; 28 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral at Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Calvert. Burial will be in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Fairford, Ala. Arrangements are by Reese Funeral Home on Bessemer Avenue in Prichard.

Winniece Henry, a resident of Century, Fla., died Sunday at her home. She was 66.
Mrs. Henry was a member of Community Church of Christ in Atmore.
Survivors include five daughters, Shelia Rodgers of Summerdale, Ala., Denise Johnson of Atmore, Doris Kelly of Milton, Fla., Diana Ward of Cantonment, Fla., and Sarah Henry of Pensacola; three brothers, Herman Clemmons, Robert Clemmons and Donnie Clemmons, all of Baldwin County; four sisters, Ida Mae Cooper of Albany, Ga., and Inez Weaver, Dorothy Vick and Alice Carver, all of Baldwin County; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at today from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. service at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Atmore. Burial will be in Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Atmore.

Kathryn Berry Wolfe, a homemaker, died Aug. 28 at her home after a period of declining health. She was 82.
Mrs. Wolfe was a native of Lyerly, Ga., and a longtime resident of Morganton, N.C.
Survivors include two daughters, Marty Mull and Nancy Burris, both of Morganton; her sister, Betty Crider of Semmes, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service took place Saturday at Burke Memorial Park in Morganton, N.C. Arrangements were by Sossoman Funeral Home in Morganton.

William Becton, a native of Bigbee, Ala., and a lifelong resident of Mobile, died at an area hospital Tuesday. He was 73.
Becton was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of S.B. Adams Lodge No. 884 F&AM. He retired from Sears after 30 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Becton; and one daughter, Debra Brown, both of Mobile; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation is set for today from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral at Pine Crest Funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens.

Jack Lewis Cochran, a truck driver, died Saturday. He was 38.
Cochran was a native of Mobile and a resident of Citronelle.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Cochran of Semmes, and Matthew Cochran and Jack Irman Cochran II, both of Citronelle; one daughter, Odelia Powell of Semmes; his mother, Sue Elaine Cochran; two sisters, Karla Minchew and Peggy Dearmon, all of Citronelle; and four grandchildren.
The service is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle.

Violet K. "Loni" Everett, a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church, died Monday at an area hospital.
Mrs. Everett, a native of Weir, Miss., and a resident of Mobile, was a former member of the Azalea City Club. She was also a life member of the Mobile Association for Retarded Citizens.
Survivors include her husband, H.L. Everett of Mobile; two daughters, Karyn Drage of Peachtree City, Ga., and Joan Denney of Mobile; one sister, Ramona Truslow of Mobile; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is set for 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. today at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street, followed by private graveside services.

Richard Dean Hilburn, a tankerman with American Commercial Barge, died Aug. 28 in Mobile. He was 37.
Hilburn was a native of Oklahoma City, Okla., and a resident of Mobile. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Chandra Hilburn; and one son, Richard Dean Hilburn Jr., both of Mobile; one stepson, Austin Lester Hoitt of Missouri; two daughters, Sasha Melisa Hilburn of Waterloo, Iowa, and Britney Ann Hilburn of Mobile; and his mother and stepfather, Noel Whitehouse and David Whitehouse, both of Mobile.
Visitation is set for Friday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service at Gilmer's Funeral Home on Zeigler Circle West. Burial will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
