Sara Bush Scott, a native and resident of Jackson, died Saturday at an area medical center. She was 65.
Scott worked as a machine operator at Vanity Fair Mills.
Survivors include five children, Denise Scott, Michael Scott, Sandra Daffin, Sol Scott and Timmie Scott, all of Jackson; four siblings, Mary Bush of Columbus, Miss., Earnest Bush and Ed Bush, both of Mobile, and Ellis Bush of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Jackson Memorial Funeral Home in Jackson. A second viewing will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service at Mount Olive No. 2 Baptist Church in Jackson. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Jackson.

John Lloyd Dixon, who retired from the Escambia County Road Department, died Aug. 24. He was 70.
Dixon was a lifelong resident of Brewton.
He was a member of Peace and Goodwill Missionary Church, where he served as a trustee, an usher and a member of the choir.
He was a volunteer working with senior citizens.
Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral took place at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Peace and Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church in Brewton. Burial was in Springhill Cemetery. Christian Memorial Funeral Home in Atmore handled arrangements.
Irene Coleman Lancaster

Irene Coleman Lancaster, a former supervisor for Vanity Fair Mills, died Thursday at an area nursing facility in Monroeville. She was 92.
Mrs. Lancaster, a lifelong resident of Monroe County, was a resident of Frisco City prior to entering the nursing facility.
Survivors include one son, Harold Lancaster of Frisco City; one daughter, Faye L. Jones of Point Clear; one brother, Harvey Coleman of Perry, Ga.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Johnson Funeral Home in Monroeville, where the funeral is set for 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Frisco City.

Mary Ruth Gray, a homemaker, died Wednesday at her home. She was 81.
A native of Lucedale and a resident of Vinegar Bend. She attended Shiloh Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Edward L. Gray Sr. of Vinegar Bend; two daughters, Margaret Butler of Vinegar Bend and Sarah Davidson of Chunchula; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tonight at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle, where the service is set for 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery in Deer Park, Ala.

Cannady Law, a retired construction worker with Brown & Root, died Sunday at a hospital in Mobile. He was 74.
A native and resident of Malcolm, Law was a member of Big John Baptist Church in Malcolm.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Law; and two sons, Kenneth Law and Darryl Wayne Law, all of Malcolm; three daughters, Patricia Mitchell and Debra Skanes, both of Malcolm, and Wanda Baldwin of Montgomery; three brothers, Tony Law and L.T. Law, both of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Roosevelt Law of Citronelle; three sisters, Ora Dee Jordan of Malcolm, Catherine Morgan of Chicago and Gold Lee Jackson of Citronelle; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the noon funeral at Big John Baptist Church in Malcolm. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Robert L. Herndon, a resident of Lincoln, Neb., who was raised in Mobile, died Tuesday. He was 80.
Herndon was an apartment manager. He attended Southeast Community College and was a member of First Christian Church, both in Lincoln.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Wadlow Rozanek Funeral Home in Lincoln. The funeral is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church in Lincoln. A graveside service is set for 4 p.m. Sunday in Fairview Cemetery in Smith Center, Kan. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church.
Merchant Ephriam Singleton

Merchant Ephriam Singleton, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, died Tuesday at a Georgia nursing facility. He was 87.
Singleton was a native of Camden and a resident of Fort Valley, Ga.
Survivors include two daughters, Crystal Brown of Fort Valley and Del Charlene Simmons of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; and five grandchildren.
The graveside service will be noon today at Stallworth Cemetery in Atmore.
Arrangements are being made by Turner Funeral Chapel.

Vesta Mae Rivers McCoy, a member of Charity Chapel Assembly of God in Citronelle, died Tuesday at a hospital in Mobile. She was 69.
She was a resident of Citronelle.
Survivors include by one daughter, Toni Elaine McCoy of Mobile: two sons, Thomas E. McCoy of Semmes and Steve R. McCoy of Chunchula; two sisters, Katherine Simpson and Mary McAdams; and two brothers, Rayford Rivers and Jimmy Rivers, all of Citronelle; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
