Marion J. Lang Jr., a former merchant mariner, died Tuesday. He was 60.
Lang, a native and resident of Mobile, recently retired from Avondale Ship Systems in New Orleans.
He was a member of Stone Street Baptist Church and a 1963 graduate of Central High School.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include five children, Technical Sgt. Miguel Lang of Panama City, Fla., Shantreese Young of Mobile, Shedrick Lang and Shanavia Lang, both of Atlanta, and Shaquinda Johnson of Theodore; three sisters, Ardrianne Adams, Aleathia Phifer and Averyll Williams, all of Mobile; two brothers, Llewellyn Lang of Savannah, Ga., and Johnathan Lang of Mobile; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral at Stone Street Baptist Church, 311 Tunstall St. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Azalea Bay Area Funeral Service on State Street is handling arrangements.

Kohre Wyatt McDaniel, an infant, died Aug. 24 at a local hospital.
Survivors include his parents, Pamela McDaniel and Dave McDaniel III, both of Mobile; two brothers, Dave McDaniel IV of Mobile and Zion Livingston of Dallas; one sister, Alyssa McDaniel of Mobile; his grandparents, Dave McDaniel Jr. of Montgomery, Rhonda McDaniel of Mobile, Laurinda Boynes of Huntsville, Ala.; and his great-grandparents, Marianne Felton of Mobile, Ronald Gibson Sr., Helen Gibson, Dave McDaniel Sr. and Ellen McDaniel, all of Pensacola.
A graveside service took place Wednesday in Gethsemane Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Christian Benevolent Funeral Home on North Hamilton Street.

Albert W. Moore Sr., a millwright, died Wednesday at a family home. He was 62.
Moore, a native of Mobile and a resident of Butler, was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Mae Jewel Moore of Butler; two sons, Albert Moore Jr. of Butler and Vester Moore of Sulphur, La.; one daughter, Becky Jackson of Chatom; one brother, Archie Moore of Tillman's Corner; and 10 grandchildren.
A service will be 2 p.m. today at Shady Grove Assembly of God Church Cemetery in Butler, with burial in the church cemetery. Bumpers Funeral Home in Butler is in charge of arrangements.

Estelle Louise Hamilton, a native and resident of Atmore, died Sunday at a Fairhope health care center. She was 88.
Hamilton worked as a cook.
Survivors include her stepdaughter, Mary Hamilton Scott of Pensacola.
The service will take place at 11 a.m. today at Graines Chapel AME Church in Atmore. Burial will be in Luscious Cemetery in Atmore. Turner Funeral Chapel in Atmore is handling arrangements.
Valena Frances Robinson

Valena Frances Robinson, a retired nurse's aide, died Aug. 24. She was 62.
Mrs. Robinson was a native and resident of Atmore.
Survivors include two daughter, Rena Robinson of Atmore and Semeira Hall of Baldwin Hills, Calif.; one sister, Hilda Franklin of Baldwin Hills; and five grandchildren.
The funeral took place Friday at Holy Community Center in Atmore. Burial was in Luscious Cemetery in Atmore, with Robinson Christian Memorial Funeral Home in Atmore directing.

Annie L. "Amy" Smith, a homemaker, died Sunday at an area hospital. She was 76.
Smith was a native of Clarke County and a resident of Atmore.
Survivors include 11 children, Lula Mae Evans and Dorothy Jean Smith, both of Pensacola, Annie English of Hawthorne, Calif., Eliza Louise French and Willie Lorraine Walker, both of Los Angeles, Mary Diane Smith and Catherine Benjamin, both of Atmore, Christina Jones of Van Nuyes, Calif., Willie Smith Jr. of Sommerville, N.J., Alfred Eugene Smith of Atlanta and Curtis Daniel Smith of Plainfield, N.J.; 43 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The service will be 1 p.m. today at Pleasant Hill Full Gospel Church in Atmore. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Atmore. Turner Funeral Chapel in Atmore is in charge of arrangements.

Geneva B. Hall, a member of Chatom Church of God, died Thursday in an area hospital. She was 88.
Hall was a native and resident of Chatom.
Survivors include three brothers, Carlie Baxter Jr. of Mobile, Otis Baxter of Cullomburg and W.M. Baxter of Coffeeville; and two sisters, Vieva Godwin of Chatom and Bobbie Morrow of Mobile.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral at Lathan Funeral Chapel in Chatom. Burial will be in Fairhope Baptist Cemetery in Chatom.

Danny Boykin Turner, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, died Sunday in Hattiesburg, Miss. He was 56.
Turner was a native of Jackson, Ala., and a resident of Chatom. He was a member of Chalker Memorial United Methodist Church in Tibbie.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel Boykin Turner and Brandon Boykin Turner of Hattiesburg; his parents, Boykin Turner and Mary R. Turner; and one brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Turner, all of Malcolm; one sister, Teresa Upchurch of Cuba, Ala.; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral at Malcolm Baptist Church in Malcolm. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom directing.
