Johnson, Samuel Walter, age 74, of Hoover, died Friday, January 15, 1999. He was a veteran of WWII, retired from Alabama Power after 42 years of service and he was also a member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church where he was an usher. Funeral services will be Monday, January 18, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Hoover at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The Revs. Neil Glausier and Bill Reid will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 4 - 6 p.m. Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Johnson; daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Kurt Osburn of Pelham; son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Cecilia Johnson of Paducah, Ky.; sister and brother-in-law, Johnnie and Ted Boyett of Sulligent; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and one nephew. The family request donations to the Jim Sharman Memorial Fund, c/o Shades Mountain Baptist Church, 2017 Columbiana Road, Birmingham, AL 35216. Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home of Hoover directing.

Harrell, Inez, age 77, of Bessemer, Alabama, died December 19, 1999 in a local hospital. She was a member of Bradley Chapel (Bessemer) where she served on the Usher Board. Funeral service at Bradley Chapel Church (2509 Caroline Avenue) will be held Monday, December 27th at 1:00 P.M. Rev. C. Davis officiating. Burial in Lincoln Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Douglas Harrell Sr.; mother, Alice Smith; father, Henry Smith. Survivors: Gwendolyn Allen Survivors: daughters, Gwendolyn Allen and Alice Brown; sons, Douglas Harrell Jr., Lawrence Smith, and Linberg Harrell; sisters, Bessie Manzy and Jessie Mae Thomas; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. Riddle, Joe L., age 61 of Alexandria, VA formerly of Huey town, AL died January 4, 1999. He was an active member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. A memorial service will be held at Brooklane Baptist Church, Hueytown, AL, Friday, January 8, 1999 at 11 a.m. Rev. Fred Jordan will be officiating. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Riddle; two sons, Robert Riddle of Washington, D.C., Steven Riddle of Alexandria, VA; mother, Flora Riddle; sister, Jessie M. Riddle; brothers, Charles, Bill, Doug, James, Kenneth, David, and Larry Riddle, all of Hueytown. Don't grieve for him, for now he is free. He took His hand when he heard Him call He turned his back and left it all. Sadler, Mr. Arthur Jackson "Jack", age 79, of Bessemer, Alabama, died Tuesday, January 5, 1999 at his residence. He was retired from National Life Insurance Company, a member of The First Christian Church of Bessemer, serving as an Elder and a member of the Men's Bible Class. He is survived by his wife, Edith Sadler; two daughters, Dewayne Simon (Robert) of McCalla, Gale Mahan (Terry) of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one grandson, Jeff Dickey of McCalla; two granddaughters, Tammy Cotten of Myrtle Beach, SC, Michelle Enslen of Grayson Valley; one great-grandson, Conner; two sisters, Mignon Powell of Fairfield, Elvira Templin of Bessemer; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Bessemer Brown Service on Thursday, January 7, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Wesley A. Donley officiating and interment to follow at Valhalla Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday, January 6, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home directing.

Reinhardsen, Mr. Raymond Jerome "Jerry", Jr., age 54, of Columbiana, died December 23, 1999. He was a member of Columbiana United Methodist Church, Senior Vice President of First National Bank of Shelby County. He is survived by: his wife, Linda Reinhardsen; daughter, Katie Reinhardsen; son, Jay Reinhardsen - all of Columbiana; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral was 3:00 P.M., December 24th at Bolton Brown Chapel with burial at Columbiana City Cemetery. Rev. Bob Haldford officiated. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lung Association. Bolton Brown Service directed.

Cisco, William Leon, age 89 passed away January 4, 1999. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Helen Harmon Cisco. Mr. Cisco worked for Union Carbide for 38 years and retired from Monarch Corporation in 1975. He was a long-time member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class. Survivors include his four children: Marilyn Matthews, David Cisco of Birmingham, John Cisco of Fernley, NV, and Jane Nagase of Austin, TX; also 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. A memorial service is planned at the Fair Haven Retirement Home Chapel, Friday, January 15 at 3:30 p.m. The family suggests memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church in Homewood or Fair Haven Retirement Home. Snook, Mrs. Rosa Perry, 91, of Birmingham, wife of the late Harvey M. Snook, passed away April 13, 1999. She was a member of Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Vestavia. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was a graduate of Lake Forest College, attended Hollins College and the University of Montevallo. Member of Kappa Delta Sorority. Survivors: son, William L. Snook (Charlotte) of Sherwood, Md.; daughters, Anne Snook Miller (John) of Richmond, Va., and Sarah Snook Hood (Alex) of Birmingham; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Dr. Joseph W. Perry of Montgomery. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 15, 2:00 PM, at Cathedral Church of the Advent with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Woods, Mrs. Julia, age 78, of Forkland, Alabama passed January 2, 1999 at UAB Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 7, 1999 at 1 p.m. at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Forkland, AL. Rev. W.M. Branch officiant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family hour will be held Wednesday, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. The remains will repose at the church on Thursday beginning at 12:30 p.m. Larkin & Scott Mortuary directing.

Dick, Lucille Allen, age 93, of Birmingham, died Mon day, April 12, 1999. She was a Charter member of Berney Points Baptist Church and current member of Southside Baptist Church. Graveside service will be Wednesday, April 14, at 3:30 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Peggy Sanderford officiating. Family will receive friends at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Survivors: daughter, Mrs. Julia Henry; grandchildren, Melvin Henry, Jr., Patrick Allen Henry, and Cynthia Johnson; and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials to Southside Baptist Church Children's Fund, P.O. Box 55058, Birmingham, AL 35255. Elmwood Chapel directing.

Kimbrell, Mr. Nathan, age 58, of Guin, died Monday, January 4, 1999. Mr. Kimbrell was born on June 5, 1940, in Lamar Co., a son of Claudie Lee Kimbrell and Clemmie McDaniel, resident of Mt. Pleasant area of Marion Co., most of his life, retired coal miner and he attended the Mt. Pleasant Free Will Baptist Church. Survivor include his wife, Mrs. Barbara Gann Kimbrell; daughters, Mrs. Belinda (Randy) Mann, Mrs. Becky (Danny) Williams, all o f Guin; granddaughter, Monica Paige Williams; nieces, Kathy Atkins, Susie Boshell; nephews, Donald Heard, Wilburn, Charles and Cecil Kimbrell; sister, Mrs. Claudean Heard, Guin; aunts, Jettie B. Erwin, Willie Patterson and uncle, Edmond McDaniel. Funeral services to be held Wednesday, January 6, at 2:00 p.m. from the Miles Funeral Home Chapel. William L. (Widdy) Atkins and Ambers Aldridge to be the officiating ministers. Burial to fol low in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Miles Funeral Home of Winfield directing.

Kinzer, Mrs. Wilma Reynolds, 79, of Birmingham, died April 11, 1999. She was a founding member of Oakmont Presbyterian Church. She served as a church Elder. She was a member of several garden and bridge clubs and was an active volunteer, serving many local social and service organizations. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 14, 10:30 AM, at Oakmont Presbyterian Church with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens South, Hoover. Dr. Tom F. Pickering officiating. Survivors: husband of 57 years, Jack B. Kinzer, Birmingham; daughters, Leita Lampkin and husband, Len, of Alabaster; grandsons, Eric and Lee Lampkin, Birmingham; sister, Mrs. Erin Whatley, Birmingham. Pallbearers: Eric and Lee Lampkin, Roscoe and Lawrence Whatley, Dale Swanson and Ralls Coston. Honorary Pallbearers are the men and women of the congregation of Oakmont Presbyterian Church.
