Williams, Mr. Franklin D., This Margaret native and Birmingham resident had retired from American Cast Iron Pipe Company after 15 years of service. He was proud owner of Southern Landscapes. Brother Williams was a Deacon and Trustee of First Baptist-Wood lawn and member of Archive Masonic Lodge #75. He was afforded an Honorable Dis charge from the Army and was an active member of the Regal Club. Death occurred on Monday, December 20, 1999 at the age of 65. More than 40 years of memories of a beautiful life will be cherished by t he widow, Velma Stove Williams; children, Veronica G. Delaine and Ronnie (Diosa) Brown; siblings, Onethia (Albert) McClurken, Edward (Mary) Williams, Jr., Gloria (William) Haynes and Rev. Phillip Williams; along with five grandchildren. He is survived by loving wife, Melba Shirley of Brookside, Ala.; sons, Randy Shirley (Pam) of Douglasville, Ga., Dan Shirley of Saratoga, Wy., and Daryl Burr (Sharon) of Brookside, Ala.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five brothers; one sister.
