Romine, Mr. Clarence Brown, age 99, of Pleasant Grove, died Monday, January 18, 1999. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 20, at 10:00 a.m. at Brown Service West Chapel Funeral Home with burial in Forest Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 19, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. He was born in Rogersville, Alabama, on July 22, 1899, attended Lauderdale County Schools and Old Howard College in Birmingham, served in Army in World War I, was a member of Masons for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Ora Durham Romine; for years he worked for Barrett Division Allied Chemical and later retired from Craig Air Force in Selma as Civil Service Employee. Survivors: two children, Charles H. Romine (Emily) of Pleasant Grove and Norma R. Young (William A.) of Birmingham; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Felton, James O., Jr., age 73, of Hoover, died January 17, 1999. He was a veteran (Air Cadet) of World War II, retired from U. S. Steel as a General Mine Foreman, after 35 years of service and a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., January 20, at Elmwood Cemetery. The Rev.
