Fountain, Eunice A., a native of Birmingham, passed away June 16, 1999 in Sedona, Arizona. She was a member of Wayside Chapel Church in Sedona. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Brocato of Champaign, Illinois; three sisters, Dorothy Oldacre and Lydia Jackson of Birmingham, and Ida Pierce of Sedona, Arizona; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 19, at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Chapel. Harris, Mrs. Edith W., of Birmingham, went home to be with the Lord on her 73rd birthday, Monday, December 13, 1999. She was a loving mother and grandmother who always put the needs of others before her own. She was retired from the State of Alabama Department of Veteran's Affairs. She is survived by her two sons, Marshall L. Harris, Jr. (Angie) and Kenneth R. Harris (Donna); daughter, Phyllis T. Harris; four grandchildren, Christopher M., Sarah N., Stephany M., and Melany B. Harris. She was the youngest of 10 children and is also survived by two sisters, Irene Gill and Nesbitt Carpenter. Funeral services will be Friday, December 17, at 11:00 a.m., at Elmwood Chapel with private burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Wright, John Hart, age 68, died December 8, 1999 at his home in Jacksonville, Alabama after a long battle with an illness. He is survived by his wife, Joan Clements Wright, a daughter, Amanda Lee Wright of San Diego, California, formerly of Birmingham; a son, Nathan Hart Wright of Dallas, Texas, a brother, Henry S. Wright of Canyon Lake, Texas and a beloved cousin, Jack Calvin Ellis of Lubbock, Texas and several nieces and nephews. He was a native of Greenville, Texas. After serving four years in the US Navy including a tour on Saipan, M.I., 1949-1950, he attended and graduated from Texas Tech, Lubbock, Texas with a degree in mechanical engineering. He worked in research and development for the U.S. Army Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama until his retirement in 1986. Since retiring, he raised cattle and many other of "God's creatures both great and small" on his farm on Dripping Rock Road in Piedmont, Alabama. Most importantly, he was a Christian. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 19, from 2-3 p.m. in the Chapel at Cheaha State Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to cancer research, the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville or New Hopewell Baptist Church, Piedmont.

Gerald, Mr. Robert F. "Bob", age 80, died Wednesday, June 16, 1999, in Madison, Fla. He was a sales rep. for N.A.P.A., a Mason and Shriner and a WWII Army Air Corp Veteran, member of Cherry Lake Methodist Church. A native of Eclectic, Alabama. Longtime resident of Birmingham, he lived in Cherry Lake since 19 87.
