Hagood, Carl Leonce, Sr., age 79, of Pin son, died March 30, 1999. He was a merchant of General Store in Pinson for 30 years, a Veteran of WWII, Mason for over 50 years, attended Howard College. Crew, Mrs. Carrie Mae, age 101, of Birmingham, passed away March 31, 1999. She was a life long member of the East Lake Methodist Church. Mrs. Crew was a past President of the Alabama Licensed Practical Nurses Association and served as Chairwoman of many commit tees of the National Association of Nursing Education. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Mr. Elisha D. Crew; and her two sons, Erskine and Hamilton Crew. Survivors include: siste r, Mrs. Richard E. Tyler of Mountain Brook, Ala.; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 1, between 5:30 and 8:00 P.M. at Elmwood Chapel. Bishop, Mrs. Grace J., age 87, of Cullman County, died Tuesday, March 30, 1999. She was a member of Covenant Life Church of Pelham in Shelby County for many years. She was also a Hair Dresser. Dickenson, Eulah M., 88, of Bessemer, died March 30, 1999. She was a longtime member of Eastern Valley Baptist Church. Turman, Annie Lou Stewart, loving mother, grandmother, sister and precious friend, died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, at the age of 62. She was born in Birmingham, where she lived all her life and graduated from Ensley High School. She was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church and a long time employee of Buco Building Constructors, formerly Butler Construction. She is survived by two daughters, Terri Turman Cleveland and husband, Frank, Lori Turman Walker and husband, Bo; four granddaughters, Joanna Cleveland, Lindsey Cleveland, Emily Walker and Allyson Walker; sister, Judy Marchman and her husband, David; mother-in-law, Maxine Turman; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Turman; her father, Robert L. Stewart; and, her mother, Lola Tharpe Stewart.
