Sarah Rhodes
Sarah 'Jeep' Rhodes of Huntsville, Ala., died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, in a local hospital there.
Survivors include her husband, Roosevelt Rhodes Sr.; one son, Roosevelt Rhodes Jr.; one daughter, Roselyn Rhodes, Huntsville; her mother, Lillie Smith, Chattanooga; one brother, Charles Smith; and two sisters, Betty Lanier and Wynoka Jones, Huntsville.
Services were held Saturday at St. Bartley Primitive Baptist Church in Huntsville.
Burial was in Meadow Lane Memory Garden.
Arrangements are by Royal Funeral Home and announced locally by Crombie-Pinkard Funeral Service.
Clifford Hester
FORT PAYNE, Ala. - Clifford Hester died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999. He was 83.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Haynes and other ministers officiating.
Burial will be in Mountain View Memory Gardens.
John Hughes
RAINSVILLE, Ala. - John Hughes of Darden, Tenn., formerly of Rainsville, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, in Jackson, Tenn.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Smith, Rainsville, and Martha Stansbury, Huron, Tenn.; three sons, Leon Hughes, Lookout Valley, Tenn., John J. Hughes, Darden, and James B. Hughes, Jasper, Tenn.; one sister, Cora Fisher, Scotts Hill, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 1 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy McNutt officiating.
Burial will be in Friendship cemetery in Pisgah, Ala.
Clifford Hester
FORT PAYNE, Ala. - Clifford Hester died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999. He was 83.
He was a member and deacon at Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ola Mae Rogers Hester; one son, Lamar Hester Henagar, Ala.; stepdaughters, Deanie Shankles, Fort Payne; stepson, Dorman Sparks, Titusville, Fla.; two grandchildren, 11 stepgrandchildren, 17 stepgreat-grandchildren and five stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Haynes and other ministers officiating.
Burial will be in Mountain View Memory Gardens.
Weston Hatfield
VALLEY HEAD, Ala. - Weston L. Hatfield of the Sulphur Springs community in Valley Head, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, at his home. He was 90.
Services will be held today at 11 a.m. EST at Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton, Ga., with the Rev. Billy Wallace and the Rev. Fred Bradford officiating.
Burial will be in Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
Albert Crouch
STEVENSON, Ala. - Albert Edward Crouch Jr. died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, at his home. He was 69.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Crouch Sr.; one brother, George Crouch and a granddaughter, Tina Whitehead.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Crouch; his mother, Beulah Crouch, Bridgeport, Ala.; three daughters, Ann Whitehead, Jane Rudder and Kathy Davis, all of Stevenson; three sisters, Dorothy Roberts, Ringgold, Louise Adams, Stevenson, and Faye Raulston, Bridgeport; one brother, Robert Crouch, Bridgeport; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. CST at Rudder Funeral Home with John Gamble and Mayburn Guess officiating.
Burial will be in Pinehaven Cemetery.

RAINSVILLE, Ala. - Ronald A. Andrews died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 73.

Burial will be in Old Sardis Cemetery.
Freddie Robinson
FLAT ROCK, Ala. - Freddie Talmadge Robinson died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, at his home. He was 57.
He was a member of Brown's Chapel Holiness Church.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Robinson; two daughters, Tammy Higdon and Danielle Young, both of Flat Rock; mother, Ethel Robinson; one sister, Loretta Elrod; two brothers, Kenneth and Edward Robinson, all of Sparta, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday at Browns Chapel Holiness Church.
Burial was in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Weston Hatfield
VALLEY HEAD, Ala. - Weston L. Hatfield of the Sulphur Springs community in Valley Head, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, at his home. He was 90.
Mr. Hatfield was a Baptist and the widower of Ruby Hatfield.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Woodyard, Huntsville, Ala., and Myrna Estep, Birmingham; three sons, Russell Hatfield, Trussville, Ala., James Hatfield, Loughman, Fla., and Ted Hatfield, Lenoir City, Tenn.; four sisters, Eleanor Chadwick, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., Mary Belle Reeves, Sulphur Springs, Ala., Jean Spencer, Valley Head, and Maurene Hurst, Ider, Ala.; 14 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. EST at Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton, Ga., with the Rev. Billy Wallace and the Rev. Fred Bradford officiating.
Burial will be in Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends after noon today until 10 p.m. at the funeral home.

RAINSVILLE, Ala. - Ronald A. Andrews died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 73.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Andrews; two sons, Aaron Andrews and Gary Andrews, both of Rainsville; three daughters, Judy Pendergrass, Powell, Tenn., and Janice Trotman and Carol King, both of Rainsville; one brother, Harvey Andrews, High Point, Ga.; one sister, Leona Andrews, High Point; and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Rainsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Lloyd Smith and McCoy Wooten officiating.

BRYANT, Ala. - Mary Lee Atkins died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 53.
She was a homemaker and a member of Bryant Baptist Tabernacle.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Bruce Atkins; two daughters, Kelly Lockman, Rossville, Ga., and Allison Reilly, Rising Fawn, Ga.; one son, Chris Atkins, Bryant; father, Sidney Dooley, Summerville, Ga.; one sister, Brenda Blaylock, Summerville; five brothers, Terry Dooley, Summerville; Leon Dooley, Fort Payne, Ala., Alvin Dooley, Hokes Bluff, Ala., Danny Dooley, Villanow, Ga., and Randy Dooley, Bryant; two grandchildren.
Services will be held today at 2 p.m. EST at Bryant Baptist Tabernacle with brother Jerry Henegar and brother George Pinion officiating.
Burial will be in Ebenezer cemetery in Bryant.
