Stanley Gothard
BRIDGEPORT, Ala. - Stanley Gothard died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999, at his home. He was 76.
He was retired from Mead Corporation, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Bridgeport and South Pittsburg Masonic Lodges and the First Baptist Church of Bridgeport.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Gothard; three daughters, Dixie Kalshoven, Tampa, Fla., Cathy Jones, Trussville, Ala., and Paulette Baker, Niantic, Conn.; one son, Barry Gothard, Bridgeport; and five grandchildren.
Services will be today at 11 a.m. at Rogers Funeral Home, South Pittsburg, with Marion Lodge 515 F&AM; conducting Masonic rites.
Burial will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
Cecil Key
GERALDINE, Ala. - Cecil Grady Key died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1998, at his home. He was 82.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Weedmah of Louisville, Ky.; two sons, Gerald and Larry Key, both of Louisville; a sister, Bessie Gore of Geraldine; a half sister, Ellen Caston of Geraldine; three half brothers, Clarence, Melvin and Curtis Huckeba; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held today at 2 p.m. CST at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel.
Burial was in Geraldine Cemetery.
James Morris
HENAGAR, Ala. - James Ambus Morris died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, at his home. He was 91.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Smith Morris; a daughter, Edith Morris Smith of Henagar; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. CST at Kerby Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Watkins officiating.
Burial will be in Henagar Cemetery.
The family was to receive friends today from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. CST at the funeral home.
J.L. Harvey
DAWSON, Ala. - James L. "J.L.' Harvey died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, at his home. He was 40.
He was a lineman for the electric company and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Michael Harvey, Fort Payne, Ala.; his father, Bud Harvey, Fort Payne; his mother, Sarah Trautman, Dawson; and a brother, Thomas "T.E.' Harvey, Fort Payne.
Services were today at 1 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Alexander officiating.
Burial was in Corbinville Cemetery.
Marty Holloway
FORT PAYNE, Ala. - Marty Goss Holloway died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, at a local hospital. She was 41.
Services were at noon today at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. L.D. Blevins and Rev. Lee Connell officiating.
Burial was in Little River Cemetery.
Sharon Hoosier
STEVENSON, Ala. - Sharon Lynette Hoosier died Friday, Jan. 1, 1998, in a Memphis, Tenn., hospital. She was 16.
Services were today at 2 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home, Stevenson, Ala., with the Rev. James Tisdale officiating.
Burial was in Mount View cemetery in Sherwood.
Tyson Brown
RAINSVILLE, Ala. - Tyson Brown died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, in a Memphis hospital. He was 13.
He was a student at Plainview High School and was the grandson of the late Eunois Brown.
Survivors include his mother, Connie Hennegar, Rainsville; father, Mack Brown, Browntown; two brothers, Johnny Brown and Steven Brown, both of Rainsville; his grandparents, Aleene Newmons, Rainsville, Frank Henegar, Sylvania and Iona Brown, Browntown; and his great-grandmother, Grace Greene, Rainsville.
Services were today at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Henegar and the Rev. Freddie Waldrop officiating.
Burial was in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
Iris Roberts
RAINSVILLE, Ala. - Iris C. Roberts of Albertville, Ala., died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, in a Crossville, Tenn., hospital. She was 84.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Castleberry, Rossville, Ga., and Bobbie Goza, Fort Payne; five brothers, Robie Evers, New Orleans, Doyle Evers, Hayward, Calif., Rex Evers, Arab, Ala., and C.M. "John' Evers and Jay Evers, both of Albertville; two sisters, Roxie Hall, Albertville, and Verba Williams, Boaz; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at noon at New Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Glen Stewart officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
The family was to receive friends today from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Rainsville Funeral Home.
